There's only 2 wishes i have...

1. A fix for the horrible Slipstream (Rubber-band Effect)!
2. More Real-Life tracks! What happened to Twin Ring Motegi and Infenion?
I hate Fictional Tracks (Most of them atleast)! What the 🤬 is this Cape Ring? Get outta here!
 
All I want are premium updates for the Mercedes Sauber C9 and Bentley Speed 8 mainly, along with some other Group C/LMP cars and I will be satisfied.
 
Shouldn't they be concentrating on getting what they have up to the same standard.

Cars for one thing. Obviously not all there's simply too much.

Tracks needing a graphical
Overhaul to Nurb standards needs addressing too.

Better AI. Better interface and stable network. For starters.

Leaderboards.

I'll probably be too busy playing Forza 4 when the GT5 updates are released, but should hopefully have my PS3 replaced by then so should be able to download them. Started to get Yellow Light Of Death symptoms so sent it to the repairers. :(
 
If Spec II doesn't include a livery editor, I am using my GT5 disc as a clay pigeon.

But, regardless, I'm sure it will bring lots of fixes and new features to the table. Calling a product "Spec II" is usually indicative of some major change.

As for DLC, not my cup of tea. I bet the first bit will be stealth cars though, as those were pre-order bonuses and not really exclusive like chrome line cars.
 
Just to further elaborate about the Slipstream (Rubber Band Effect) issue...

A quote from the best interview of Kaz before the release of GT5.

Ahmed: ok there is one question that have never been asked before, and a detail that had never been officialy mentioned any where. which is the "catch up mode" or "Boost" as GT4 stated it, some people call it "Rubber band effect" whats the deal with that ? everyone is annoyed of it , is there is any chance to get rid of it in the future?

Kaz: "ahhaaa" we but that feature to allow a fair race for everyone for instance, if you started in the 16th position in a rolling start at fuji-speedway there is no way to win the race. also it does help but not that much. its only active when the gap is huge (more than 2 seconds). also there were some event that the RBE were not active. We will only remove it completely only when there is going to be a qualifying laps to sent every on position in the starting grid. Plus only very good and professional players will like playing without it active.

Ahmed: what does it actually do ? is more grip ? or more speed ? for the left behind cars . or less grip, speed for the leading car?

So I was looking at my used cars to see which ones seemed detailed enough to possibly become prem, and these are what I got:

It doesn't work like that since they have to remodel the entire car using a completely different method which renders the Standard version useless, so whether a certain Standard car is more detailed than others (which certainly is the case, although that also is the case with some Premium cars) is irrelevant and can't be seen as an indicator for a likely candidate.

Go online, set boost to off, pretty simple really. Now for offline modes it's a different story.
EDIT: If there is a God, we will be able to drive endurance races with our B-spec drivers, as well as making them compete against each other in shorter races.

I can honestly say that all I want is DLC and everything from past games. If we had that, for me the game would be complete. Hoing for the best.

I've always had boost off in online races. I admin a Super GT series, one of the most popular if i may add :sly: (Link: WSGTC), in the online section and slipstream has always been a problem. Ridiculous really.

It's weird though that free-run does not have slipstream at all (in an online lobby).
 
I've been thinking about my "wishlist" for the new features and DLC again since this news, nothing new of course, plenty of wishlist threads here but I do think (and apologies if someone suggested this in the 26 pages of comments!) that some sort of meeting between A and B Spec might be on the cards, where one can drive in endurance races in a team with their Bobs. We could swap with the lone Bob previously when pitting, so it seems odd it's not included (yet) in GT5. Take that online and you have all kinds of awesome too :)

Aside from that, which I guess would be part of Spec 2.0, for the DLC new cars would be nice, sure, but all things considered I would be way way happier with new-old and just plain new tracks added, if I had to choose. Here's hoping we get both 👍
 
Basic stuff like wheels for the standard model cars, "improved" physics and a couple more tracks (upscaled from previous GT's).

Wouldn't get too excited folks.

Oh and the 1 M as promised.

He was talking about boost not the ridiculous slip stream, hence the line "Only once the gap is over 2 seconds" From being in another popular Super GT series, I know there's no slip stream effect from that far back.

considering for gt5p spec II bought a plethora of new things, Including 34 new cars. including a F1 car then later on gt5p was graced with 3 new cars, evora,california,GT citroen.

so given that actual track reccord, GT5 spec II sounds promising.

and not just a silly update, An actual Spec II of granturismo 5.

This. I can almost promise you guys that Spec II won't be just another "patch/update". This is going to be big.
 
PD have got their work cut out. They are going to have to add a heck of a lot to make me want to bother playing it again. I hope they add MLAA for 1280X1080, the game should look super sharp then. Of course we need saves for endurance races. I also hope they get decent sounds, as ALL the cars sound like total crap with that stupid high pitched noise they all have when accelerating.

The biggest problem which no patch will fix is friggin decent AI. All the aim seems to be is to start from the back, then overtake everyone. All the cars are so easy to overtake it is not even funny.
 
They must have been waiting for Spec 2 to add mid-race saves. That must be one of the new features. As far as A.I., I can say that I think that will be one of the things they fix.

One of the reasons I LOVE GT5 over Forza, is that there is no livery editor.
I genuinly hate having to watch others 'artistic expressions' in a online race.
And one of the reasons Forza never will be a serious contender to GT5.
