I can't be happy my $300 investment was finally integrated now. Some times I wonder why I post here then I realize I don't really.

Ummo doesn't have a clue what he is talking about even though the G25/G27 worked in GT5 it was not fully supported. All you have to do is go to wheel settings you will see no G25/27. With this update i'm sure it will be in. Very good news.

Although I appreciate any update for Gran Turismo, I must admit that after reading the list of changes I'm kinda disappointing and was expecting more.

Here's my take on the changes...

1. Simplified interior view added to all standard cars.

Expect a darkened black dashboard nearly identical to GT:PSP

2. User control of the weather change feature.

Will be nice, I'm interested to see what feature we can adjust.

3. Added a setting sheet feature allowing you to save multiple car settings.

Finally!

4. Spec 2.0 opening movie.

I disable this anyway, don't really care. I'll probably watch it once, then disable it again.

5. Improved UI usability and response.

This will be good.

6. Replay rewind and fast forward.

Never really watched my replay's much, but now I won't have to play it over and over again just to watch a single portion. I know alot of people will love this.

7. Ability to save during a race

Now I can finally complete some of the longer endurance races. Like this alot.

8. Online Lounge Expansion (Ability to narrow down car types via search, shuffle races).

Looking forward to this as well, hoping that there is a way to ban Veyron's, and X1's from rooms.

9. Expansion of the B-Spec remote race you can play from GT.com (a graph display now shows changes in race rankings.).

Never played B-Spec from GT.com, don't really care to.

10. Expanded Photo travel features. You can now take photo’s of cars together with your avatar.

Will be nice for those who love the photo mode feature

11. Added a “NASCAR Pit Scene” stage to Photo Travel

Never played around with Photo Travel that much, don't really care.

12. Added eleven 2011 model NASCAR cars.

This makes me mad, they take one car model and put 11 different skins on it and all of a sudden it's 11 new cars. My prediction is it'll be 11 new Impala nascars with 2011 livery on them. ********.

13. Added the Nissan GT-R N24 Schulze Motorsport.

Another GT-R, really? How many does that make now, like 30 or something? I'm still hoping that we'll see real new cars added sometime soon.

14. Improved physics and AI.

I don't expect that they'll change the physics that drastically, but I'm curious to see how the AI will change.

15. Support for the Logitec G25/G27 Steering wheel.

Finally!

The track pack will be really nice. But I'm not looking forward to seeing how many civics, and GT-R's the race car pack adds. And as for the helmets and race suit pack, who the hell cares about ****ing helments and race suits. This is one of the most retarded feature in Gran Turismo 5. I'm annoyed that they paid developers to model ****in helments and suits instead of cars and tracks.

why so hyped about? the G27 already works 100% steering wheel/pedals/stick related, happy because now you can map facebuttons to play the horn?

I have a G27 as well and I agree with the hype.
It's a pity to have such a wheel with 6 handy buttons you can't use.
You can map assists and left and right view as well as handbrake...
I like it

you don't race with those six red buttons, and the FF, overall steering, pedals sensitivity/response and stick laginput was perfect, now you receive a beautiful icon on the options area and facebuttons mapeable, i don't think that the gameplay experience will change with this integration, G27 was used by PD in official presentations, working 100% fine., realize it.

Wong I have a DFGT and a G27, the feedback of the DFGT was better than the G27 In GT5. Only reason I played with the G27 more because I use clutch when I play. With the G27 being supported now im expecting the feed back to be better.

GT5 was such an incomplete game upon release. Im happy about this update, but, part of me is pissed that things like game saves(particularly for endurance), interiors for the bulk of the cars, slot for multiple car setups, are just now getting in.
I got into sims with GT2 and have gotten every GT series since then, including the imported version just cause they used to be released earlier than in North America, so Im not a GT basher. Just not as in love with PD as I used to be.
Also, agree with Shawtymann, that GT5 is just missing too many classic tracks. How Midfield never made it in initially, is beyond me. Hopefully I can buy it at some point *sarcasm

If they wanted it to be like GT:PSP they would have done it day one i doubt they would have waited this long, they most likely went thought some effort making the interiors, also the cockpit will have to be different for some cars as the formula GT having the same cockpit as a road car would look pretty retarded.

Edit: **** i think you were right.

Maybe all those thing must be from the beginning but we got them right? I don't see any reason to not be happy now! And how do you guys think that anything must be like you want?
Seriously?
Sony/PD makes GT for us to buy. We buy their products with the expectation of it being what we want, right? Of course everyones opinion on what should have been in the game is different, but, some things simply should have been non-negotiable at the start(multiple setups/interiors/save for endurances, not to mention some of the obvious ones from prior updates).

All I wanted was fixed shadows :(

Ha-ha! another one! Now I don't think I'm mad :) 👍

Previous graphical improvements in the patches were never listed. Might still be included in the Spec 2.0

:dunce: Crossed fingers...

I know there is (almost) no excuse for those delays and missing features, but to be honest at same time no one forcing you to buy it. I totally understand PD position and really think that there were some big problems during development, there were also weird decisions. But I don't mind about complaining - I just believe in PD. (knowing Japanese developers) Almost all problems (to me) are from small team, weak hardware, too high goals.

While the G27 works, it is not really acceptable that there is no button support and important functions like the emergency break aren't available unless you kludge a controller into your setup.

Look at them cars in ze background, b*tches:
