It is also quite ironic, because you have 6 times as many posts in this thread as I do. And more posts than I have in the "Are You Going to Drop GT5" thread.
Congratulations on taking the time to count them. ;)

But just thinking back over your posts, what have you actually contributed to either thread as far as an actual dialog, sharing views and stuff? I post in both of those because I'm interested in the subjects, excited about both issues, the upcoming Spec II and DLC and launch of Forza 4. Not even being the biggest Forza fan in the world and trying to chill the bashers of both games, pointing out the admittedly limited info on Forza 4 which looks great to me. Cautiously, admittedly, but this is a Microsoft product after all.

All I ever see you posting about is how much more erudite and lucid you are than others, how wrong they are and how brilliant you are. That does get old after a while, especially if you don't care for either game. If you don't, why are you here? If you do, why do you never say anything about some car you like, some track, some feature that makes you wiggle with glee?

Like, I just browsed your posting history, and other than that strange Bronie stuff, all I see is you being a nattering nanny at people. Peek at mine. Sure, I throw waterballoons sometimes, but I'm trying to be a team player around here and not smart off all the time. Where's the community spirit, little pony? Show some luuv! :D

One more edit. The board format won't fit to screen anymore. I wish you guys would fix that.

Yeah, not that it really matters, but now you have me curious. New/old tool? Hopefully not Search, that thing is rusty.

Okay, unnecessary then. ;) Seriously, he has to come along and whack people over their heads with rulers more than any mother-in-law I ever saw, over the silliest things sometimes.

How out-and-out a sim is GTR, when the damage modeling looks... well, barely there? Or bots that grind through chicanes like 4 year olds are driving? You can pick apart any racing sim for features that don't replicate real world physics at all. So I guess there really are no racing sims? The cake is a lie? ;)

For many of us, GT5 is so close to PC sims in feel that we don't bother with them, unless they can afford to rent iRacing. Forza has that potential too. In fact, between the two of them, you might only need to add a Rally and F1 game to your library and cover about all of your racing bases, unless seeing a statue holding a flag makes you all fuzzy inside.

On the topic, one thing I hope changes are replay camera positions. I'm getting sick of all the four foot off the ground shots. Kaz needs to go back and watch some replays from GT2 and 3, which had the best replays of the series.

Simulation means you're pretending to do the real thing, if that's the case this game does the trick, and so do a bunch of other games. GT5 is all about driving, and cars in that respect it simulates this well, ie, I have fun doing it.

When they start coming out with racing or driving emulators then you can talk about how realistic they are, or ain't

Bringing this back to topic, is there any speculation as to whether the mid race saves will be for just timed races or all enduros. 'Cause the Suzuka 1000Kms can take about 6 hours in GT500 car (call me a purist but I always use cars which fit in with the rest of the field)

I would hope it's all the endurance races, I'm thinking that when you pit you'll have an option to save, and come back later.

Suzuka aches for a GT500 car.👍

When it comes to simulating the typical race weekend GT5 is AWFUL compared to decent PC sims. GTR2 completely blows GT5s racing out of the water and it's from 2006.

Now I need to justify the way I express myself to you of all people?

If you really want to play this game, I've seen how you debate when you get backed into a corner. But strictly speaking, this doesn't seem like a box that should be opened in any thread, let alone this one.

Of course. Nevermind the fact that the people who express any negative things about GT5 are outnumbered probably 3-1 compared to those who won't shut up about how great it is and how wrong people are for disagreeing, justifying their reasoning with insults and logic bombs; and that every few months a new batch joins and does the same thing.

That does get old after a while, especially if you don't care for either game.
Imagine how much I care.

And, by the way, nice assumption.

If you don't, why are you here?
Even if your assumption did have any merit, this is a singularly stupid question to ask, to be frank, when coming from a member who has been here longer than I have.

If you do, why do you never say anything about some car you like, some track, some feature that makes you wiggle with glee?
I have done this. The fact that I don't do it often means nothing because, amazingly enough, outside of the V.I.P. forum, I don't care too. I don't trip over myself to complement things in GT5 because I don't find much in the game that deserves outright complements, because there is very little in the game that wouldn't be considerably better with just an ounce of obvious minor tweaks that PD thus far has refused to do.

Which is par for the course with games filled with bad design decisions, unfortunately.

Where's the community spirit, little pony? Show some luuv! :D
The community spirit went away long ago when I realized how frequently people respond in mocking condescension like what I quoted does.

I've taken it upon myself to respond in kind when I feel it justified; and when we are on what is probably the 4th or 5th wave of people since GTPSP who conduct themselves like vandiliser does, I don't really see the problem with doing so.

The board format won't fit to screen anymore. I wish you guys would fix that.
Or you could just set it to Wide.

Wha....?

Do not feed, please!

This is the Spec 2.0 thread, take the argument somewhere else. Half this thread is filled with flame wars, and we don't need another. It seems that you like to argue just to argue. Let it go and be the mature one. Remember that.

Kaz didn't really release something over twitter relevant to the DLC yet... He only twittered about the qualifying of F1 today.

+1

Why bother to discuss GT vs. FM in a thread over the Spec 2.0 GT5 update?

I wish some people would just realise how (personal) argueing in a normal thread just makes them looks like idiots. Figure it out yourselves via PM. But I guess that would take all the thrill away of letting other people know that you are superior to your opponent (in a GT5 forum)... :indiff:

Oh come on, you can all stop waving your digital high speed ***** here, we all know it's going to be 100kilobyte, it's been on the original game disc all along!

:dopey:

mmm why always the people turns every thread into a fanboys war?, Why the same people is making the same kind of comments in every thread? man, some mod should close or at least clean this thread than is far of being about Spec 2.0 now, nothing personal but there are people than think they are "smart" by complaining about everything, there is proper threads for those complaints but not in a thread about an update than is going to come about and they are complaining even when isn't out yet 👎

Exactly. Toranado wonders why everybody hates bronies, yet he feels the compulsive need to argue about everything, showing how "superior" he and the rest of the bronies are.
