My concern is for TT competitions like WRS, people shouldn't be able to rewind time trials to improve lap times. I would be D1 if I could do that, that's why I think it should invalidate the lap. For racing, sure if you want to use it, it doesn't affect me.

Edit: And I'm not saying I don't see any value in rewind, I just want it to be thought out correctly before implementing it.

Have I missed something... did Kaz actually suggest rewind would be do-able during racing because his tweet only talks about being able to rewind the replay...

That's the "i" button. When you press it you can download B-Spec to your iDevice.

Totally agree with invalidating lap times mate. Maybe even take a credit loss if someone choose to use it in an offline race.

It's just about having the option that bugs so many people.

My dog pulled out my G27 cable whilst playing F1. Totally taking me by surprise.

Managed to pause and get back on track due to no fault of my own.

No biggie if it's not in. I just can't understand people's disgust at it. ( not yourself I'm talking in general )
 
The red arrow button seems to not fit with this menu somehow....
But the i (Information?) button does.
 
Kaz-San's White PS3 wanted to show parts of Spec 2 as celebration for Vettel's Win. :)
 
The I button is probably a sick joke that converts all cars to standard ones and locks you into b-spec mode forever.
 
At a guess its concievable the I icon is a more convenient way to get all the latest news regarding the game, rather than accessing it via the main menu...

It is just a theoretically talk about 'what if' in-game rewind was suggested/implemented...

And yes... it is a bit off topic to this thread :sly:

That does look like a download button. Perhaps they are planning to link the PSN Store directly to the game? Most games do this already, so it wouldn't be that big of a stretch.

Very likely to be a downloadable content button, me thinks.
 
This rewind thing is just for your replays though right? So you can fast forward and rewind your replays, that's how it reads.

Rewinding your race if you mess up is kind of defeating the challenge of the game and I really dont see a need for it.

If they did that they might as well have an "always stick to the track" option. It would be of the same level in the cheating stakes.
 
Definitely a DLC button, like an in-game store like with Bad Company 2 and Black Ops.
 
I love how PD tease us like this, they know we're all fanatics who'd kill to get anything a day early!
 
Maybe its a " short cut " button for reaching dlc's faster ??? like call of duty black ops
 
I find the "I" button a lot more intereting to be honest. It was also in pre-release shots:

I would guess it's just an information box, probably not that interesting.
 
I would have preferred if PD put a quick access button to the Course Maker from the GT Life screen.

Isn't the "?" the manual/help section for the game?

The "i" is probably just information like latest news, version number things like that.
