For tracks they should redo all the older GT tracks properly, not just HD like they did it on release. NY, HK, El capita should all return. However I do not think DLC will be anything substancial. I mean why din't they announce it at TGS when the whole world was watching

I am more excited about the changes they made like physics, AI tweaks and hopefully there are others things too which they din't announce or have they mentioned everything about the update ?

I am so glad G25's and G27's are getting wheel support.

I still want more premium cars... I can't believe PD actually spent time into working on standards.

I've played Forza and made some designs (I sold over 100 Punto's at 10K each on my storefront) but most liveries are terrible or abusive
While I'm not the biggest fan ever for Forza or the community, this just isn't the case at all. At the worst, when I poked around the Auction House, there might be four or five hentai things out of a hundred. On BMWs, Mercedes, Ferraris, Fords, numerous other makes, none. Out of the entire Auction House, the number is miniscule.

Simple fix.

Options

Show custom liveries: yes / no

Yes no? ;)

Look. Other games that have a livery editor have always had it to begin with. It's never implemented in a patch of some sort, ever.
And since when was an entire online part of a game patched in? GT5 seems to be making a lot of firsts, why not patch in a livery editor?

If livery is the best thing about forza then frankly it's just confirmed everything i knew about the series as a whole

One person's opinion (blown out of proportion) has cemented in your reasoning for being closed minded about a great game?

To those saying they don't want custom liveries because silliness:

One, they could indeed implement an option to hide custom liveries.

Two, silly people are going to be silly. It's not your right to stop them. As for the offensive content issue, they could set up a system under which all liveries must be reviewed by admins to be useable online, but that could filter out realistic "Martini Racing" liveries because evil alcohol as well as filtering out porn. So I direct you to option One for now.

Probably the biggest problem I see with online lobbies is the brony fad. Within a few days of the implementation of a livery editor, every online lobby would be full of powder blue paint, rainbow stripes, rainbow bolts, and the number 20. But honestly, as much as My Little Pony makes me rage, it would be a small price to pay for the ability to make my cars look more like racing cars (it'd make online leagues look a lot more realistic as well).

People should stop complaining about features they won't use or rather don't like, plurality is better for everyone. A guy wants to make MLP liveries for his cars? That doesn't bother me more than seeing a Miura with black BBS wheels or a matte pink Aston Martin, it's the same at the end of the day, and I just don't mind. :odd:

It's a bloody game folks. Play offline or invite friends with similar opinions to private lobbies, restricting features isn't the way to go. 👎

I don't see how anyone would have a problem with a livery editor. The only reason is for them to want PD to focus on other things, but a livery editor isn't the most difficult thing to do.

I remember hearing Kaz say that it isn't time for a livery editor in GT. There is other information that says otherwise so it's all just a waiting game to find out the truth.

Yes I don't see how a car with a wang on it is any more offensive than a supercar painted pink with pink rims. Double standards FTW!

I want a livery editor, why? Because I want to paint my race cars like race cars....

I'm still waiting.

Let's have faith. Through the months we got some new stuff... let's believe... they seem to be listening to us anyway 👍
Well, they seem to listen to you only because fm4 is on its way, its a business draw, nothing else...

Although they didn't add rims for standards, it's pretty cool they added cockpit view. Now you can feel all the bumps and quivers from all your favorite standards!

Not really GT5 is less than a year has sold 7million and GT5P crossed 5million. That is not bad for a racing game. In a years time they have added lots of update to the game. Obviously they want to keep their fanbase happy.

Taken from PS blog. This is what Kaz said:

The coming Gran Turismo 5 Spec 2 update is an update that contains the feedback from the users playing GT5 online every day. We have added cars such as the newest NASCAR race cars, but many of the updates are those that improve usability and expand the field of game play. I believed from the initial release of Gran Turismo 5 that it would be the users that would make the game grow thereafter, and we added things like interior views for the standard models because there was a lot of request for it from our users. You could say that this update is the shape and form of GT5 that was created through the opinions of our fans.

Obviously they can't add everything in a update and listen to all the complains and demands :scared:

Kaz has always wanted to include as many automotive elements of real life as he could cram into the Playstation of the time and the format it uses. I know many people think that Turn 10 invented liveries, but they existed in real life before Forza, and last I checked, Forza wasn't the first game with a livery editor.

Forza is a decent series and all, but get real. ;)

why didnt they add rims to standards? aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh lol
It depends on how the models were ported to GT5, and how the GT4 wheel swapping worked. I'd think it would be no big deal to implement, but maybe they want to include the Premium wheels, who knows? But you can bet that Kaz and the team are aware of every request, and yes, all the enthusia over Forza. ;)

*Dreaming*
Would be great if they put in a premium Koenigsegg  definitely the best car to see out of in cockpit view.

Jai
My favorite were the used wheels.

I loved the used wheel feature, would be great to have it return even only just using Premium wheels for premium cars, I wouldn't mind.

None that I know of though you're making me think it may be another damn EA 'Exclusive'....

That's sort of what I was thinking but if there was an issue that I'm not really too sure of, this goes back to early days of GT. I'm thinking of some sort of announcement about why Koenigsegg can't/hasn't been used in GT.

liveries are a complete waste of time and money. Polyphony, there are other things i want in Gran Turismo. And livery ain't on top of the list. because superficial stuff like that should always remain at the bottom of a car game.

Besides it makes GT look like some kiddie need for speed game. GT has a class feeling to it that has been built over a decade. It's a serious Game. Adding some colouring objects to cars would diminish it.

If you really want to colour your cars then by all means try forza.

That is by far the most narrow minded and pathetic thing I've ever heard. Not only is that an unnecessary bash once again based on what you don't want, but you make these claims as if you somehow know how to make a car game. Its also obvious judging by your other posts you:

A. Don't know anything about Forza
B. State your opinions as fact

And you apparently aren't familiar with PC Racing Sims since they for years have allowed people to have custom Liveries. You want to label PC Sims like Rfactor "kiddie need for speed game" too? Since when does customization "Diminish" anything?

Wow a lot of hatred about livery editor and what they bring is offensive.

Most offensive thing brought to the track is Racing softs lol.

At least I can turn them off too I suppose.

Edit interesting that a person on ignore shows up in quotes.

In this topic the last few pages have been all about things that are NOT in the upcomming update.

This is turning in another wishlist/GT Vs FM fest:tdown:

Also, to the guy who says MLP liveries would be fine by him: ...really?

It guess it might have something to do with the fact that I'm still kind of sore over what went down a few months ago involving bronies and the funny pic thread.

Yeah but GT5 dissapointed very very very lot of gamers! I hope the gamers will buy the next game... We know it can get only better, but did the casual gamer know that!?
