actually, according to time zones, its starting around 10am-11 am for them. Microsoft is already doing their press conference...we might need to pull an all nighter...

At the time I posted that message it was 1.5hrs away. I don't care where you live and what time zone, it was 1.5hrs away for everyone.

I wonder if it's going to have the GC demo for now, and then they'll update after they have their press conference?

If that's true, it tells me that PD are working hard on finishing GT5. Not necessarily a good sign.

Or they just didn't want to show anything new. You know what? I'm going with that. They did not want to show anything new this time. Not "working hard on GT5" or "this could be bad :nervous:". Just because TGS in in PD's home country, doesn't mean there will be anything new at all. The game's only over 1 month away, I don't think they want to show off much more.

any japanese here?

Just two people talking LOL

With my limited understanding of Japanese and not having watched the whole clip, I believe the girl wanted a machine that can go on the internet and stuff, and the guy got them the PS3. Then the girl was like that's a gaming machine, and the guy had to explain that the PS3 can both play games and go on the internet. But the girl didn't believe him, and the guy was kinda stumped.

I think it's poking fun @ some people still having the misconception that the PS3 is solely a gaming console while it's so much more.

That would be illogical unless they know the game will sell itself. That would be arrogant though.

If they really do have new features to show, it would not surprise me in the least to have it set up like this. To have an old demo at the start, then the big "reveal" conference, they switch over the demo, and all new stuff. :)

Or, maybe they won't say a damn thing and we already know everything they're going to tell us before launch. :nervous:

You think they will show off everything new for GT5 before it comes out? No. It's good to keep suprises, keep things secret, make people have to buy the game to know what it's got.

Except in this day ahd age many have the internet and can find out without having to buy the game.

Not necessarily, they're able to update demos through their server. It's possible that they'll do that after the conference so that Kaz can announce and show stuff first. At gamescom his closed door session was spoiled due to people leaking videos before he had a chance to discuss the stuff.

I dunno, but to me the easiest way would be to just swap out all the PS3 with the latest build of GT5 during Sony conference and call it a day. :sly:

I believe they are showing what is to be part of a short 6 part series called "The ways to use a PS3 feat. Peeping Life". The clip running right now is the 1st one.

Basically, these promotional clips are to introduce all the different functions and features of the PS3 and act as an entry point to people who aren't familiar or interested in what the PS3 does.

I dont want know all about the car/tracks dude... i prefer surprise. But i want a confirmation about weather and ice/snow. That's all.

One thing to add onto what I don't want to see is the GT5 Intro as a trailer. Let's leave that surprise when we pop in our copy.
