You guys may remember that recently I had a thread about pictures for a GT5 theme. Well, this theme is now available for download at the below link. The theme will be updated over time and will soon have it's own icons. Anyway here is the link for the theme!

Could you please leave feedback on this thread if you have downloaded the theme and tell me what you think about it! Also please say if you notice any bugs or anything that could be improved!

You can either save it to a USB or download the file from the web page in the link directly from your ps3 browser(easier)!

Cheers mate! Downloaded it and i love the icons, they are a definate improvement over the standard ones.

The pic i've seen so far is nice also, how many different pics are there if i may ask? And all a different car as theme no?

Don't give me any credit for the icons!!! There are 16 HD images and I believe 1 SD image. There are couple of repeats of the same car but they will be cancelled out in future updates!

You've been able to get a GT Academy theme for quite some time now. It has a 2012 GTR in the back ground and makes all the noises GT5 makes..

It's a job well done 👍, but here's some constructive criticism;
The pictures are good, but they miss a little style, the ones i've seen so far are mostly without effects like different shuttertimes, filters (sepia, black and white). They seem a little straightforward.

Ofcourse haven't seen them all, but those kind of "loungy" pictures should make the atmosphere.

I was working on my GT5 theme to get the sounds working. *cough* link in sig :sly:
I'd forgotten about it but I may give it a go again after my exams!

I'll check this theme out though! 👍 bored of mine :lol:
 
The icons are too old ( Fat PS3 and PSP ) and make things cluttered, missing icons - too many question marks.
The pics are all a bit bland and again add too the cluttered look, its hard to read/see the xmb.

I prefer a more minimalist icon set and make better use of space for pics, the only real space is in the bottom right quarter of screen.

PS. Whatever you do, don't add sounds!!! They get extremely annoying after 5 minutes!

I think it's okay as long as there is two versions, one with and on without. That way you can switch between them depending what mood you're in :lol:

There is a free gt5 dynamic theme in the psn store
 
Like so many themes the contrast between the background image and the icons isn't good enough, making everything hard to read.

Also agree about the old fat PS3 icons, they're a bit, well, old.

Yeah, I refreshed the theme many times to cycle through the pictures, just to see them all, and it never appeared... :confused:

You can export GT5 photos to the PS3 XMB photos, then use them as a background

Or have a theme which changes between 16 pictures when the XMB loads???
 
Nice work there mate. Just downloaded it and loaded onto my PS3. Nice icons! I like my fat PS3 more than my slim one. :lol:
But as others said, the theme would be perfect if there aren't that many question marks in it. I love those icons very much! Keep up the good work! :cheers:

Thanks for the feedback. Icons will be changed slightly in V1.1!
