Hey All,

I thought I would never write this but the time has come now that I am inches away from the Platinum Trophy.

Before I begin, let me say that if you really want to get Platinum in this game then you must have a wheel. The only reason is that the Red Bull X1 challenge is so freakin hard or nearly impossible to do on a DS3.
Practice makes perfect right. However, if you do want to Plat this game before 2012 when the world will end, you better get that wheel.

The 2 hardest Challenges for me were the Eiger Time Trial in Special Events and of course the Red Bull X1 challenge.

For the Eiger Time Trial, it really takes a bit of patience and a lot of YouTube videos. If you have a laptop, put it next to you and look at what they do and copy it. If you are below their sector times, restart right away to not waste time. There are various ways to do it as you will see on YouTube but it is important that you exit the first sector with a very low 35sec.

Now... For the Red Bull Challenge. This is in a league of its own. This took me 5 days playing for about 3 hrs each day. Let me correct myself, it took me 5 days for Suzuka and 3 hours for Nurburgring and Monza combined. What a difference huh. That's how hard Suzuka is.

If you are just starting this challenge, please let me advise you to directly jump to Suzuka. Why? Because here you will learn everything there is to learn about this car. It will take time and frustration, but when you Gold Suzuka you will feel so good that the other 2 races will be a walk in the Park. Imagine starting with the easiest Monza and because you don't know this car handles it will take you a couple of days to get Gold. You will be really discouraged to start Suzuka knowing that it is that much harder.

All I can say is GOOD LUCK.

Now for the Fun Part....... Auto Grinding and the Home Stretch to Plat.

Like myself earlier, if you have gotten Gold in everything including the X1 Challenge you will probably be left with 3 stupid trophies. 1. Car Collector, 2. Air of Expireince and Expert Driver. These are very very time consuming.

I thought to myself, I have done so much in this game, I deserve a bit of cheating to finally finish it.

You will need a USB (preferably cabled keyboard)
A rubber band.
An table fan that swings left to right.

To get the Air of Experience Trophy:

Got to B-Spec
Enter the Professorial Series and Choose the Supercar challenge.
Here you will find the Indianapolis Super Speed Way (6Laps)
Connect the rubber band to the right stick and the other end to the fan so that when the fan turns, it pushes the right stick down every few seconds or so. You will know why when you play.
On your USB keyboard, stick something like a small piece of folded paper between you enter and shift key so that it is continually pressing ok. You will here it in the game when you have done it correctly. A continuous bing.
Let's say that you have finished 130 or so races with your bspec driver when you start this. This trick will get you the trophy in about 15hrs instead of a few days or a few weeks if you have a job and a wife or girlfriend.

Car Collector Trophy:

1000 cars huh? Ouch. You probably have about 200 now and think that you will have to buy 800 Go Karts as people have suggested. This is the most boring task in this game. Well let me introduce you to Auto Grind Car Purchases!!!!

This works in combination with the last Trophy, the Expert Driver Trophy (Below)
I have stumbled across this because I was pissed that while Auto Grinding, my credits where always at 20,000,000 and I wasn't getting anymore. Well, why let all that credit go to waste.
Using a USB keyboard again, I simply put the cursor on the Dealership and stuck down the enter key again. This caused me to buy the Accura NSX over and over again. 1 every 35 seconds. It costs 80,000 credits which is pretty steep huh? But think about it. You are A-Spec Auto Grinding and you are making about 17,000,000 every 24 hrs in the below stage.
You can Auto Grind Buy about 200 NSX's every 24 hrs and alternate between these 2 trophies. 200 x 80,000 = 16,000,000.

The Expert Driver Trophy:

Assuming that you are somewhere around Lv35 and that you unlocked the Red Bull X1, Go the A-Spec Professorial Series and enter the Dream Car Championship. Here as you know you also have the Indy Speedway.

Now, use the rubber band and place it on your controller that the right stick always points upwards and use tape film to point the left stick slightly to the right. People on YouTube suggested a 1 o'clock position but I would say it is more a 12:30. So just very slightly. The car should be able to do 420-30 kmh on the straights. GRIND GRIND GRIND and when you got your 20,000,000 again go back to Auto Grinding NSX purchases!!

Conclusion:

Using theese 3 tricks and more importantly alternating between "Auto Grind" (A-Spec) and "Auto Buy" NSX's will take weeks of you getting Platinum. In a mater of days you'll be there without doing all the boring part.

I hope I could be of help and wish you best of Luck!!

Thank you for your suggestions... It's funny how the Eiger track had me frustrated also. But i just figured it out after an hour or two. I cant do the Nurburgring for the life of me. I did Monza and Suzuka with my wheel. I managed silver on Nurb with a time of 2:09.469. I needed 2:08.000 : ( its a very good idea to use a fan to press down. I'll try it after i gold the last Vettel Challenge

I myself bought the game for the enjoyment of playing it........ Trophy's are an added incentive designed to give the game longevity. So I'll be happy to await my Platinum and have the added satisfaction that I did it without any cheats, loophole's or trick's 👍 . But to each their own

Nice trick with the Acura's 👍

If they ever introduce a new paint chip I will be sure to try that. :)
