GT5 Updates Problem

Hi to all

Can anyone pls advise me

I got problem updating my GT5
My Ver is 2.06.60946624
Would like to update to 2.09
Not able to update using the PS3
manage to get hold of the file size 101mb from friend
Use PS3 proxy step 1 is oke but got error on step 2 asking for another file which is 227mb

pls help me

What? GT5 should auto update when you start the game...

What seams to be the problem? All you are saying is that you can't update. It's hard to pin point the issue with little information.

Is your PS3 connected to the internet? If so, is it wire, or wireless?
Is your PS3 firmware up to date?
Are you able to go online on any of your games?

If none of the above apply to your situation, then I don't think you have a problem. Once the download starts there is nothing you can do. Just let it download, and install. May take some time, but still.

Pretty sure he is saying he can't go online with his console to download the update, his friend sent him one of the update files and he's trying to use PS3 Proxy to load it but it won't work because he is missing another update.

Ah! Well, that's a different story then.
I find proxy a pain to work correctly. I'd advise to try and get your PS3 to a friend or family house with internet connection, and try the update the old fashion way.
