GT5 wasted my day of gaming (or I did)

Nope. In my 2 years of playing it. Nah. Still got the save.

It never occurred here either, but it was in the top ten of topics in the GT4 forums back in the day (top was "How do I unlock the GT World Championship? I've golded all the other events?") and turning off the autosave - though it still autosaved, just less frequently - fixed it every time.

Yeah I always manually save after any big race or whatever. Also before going into Multiplayer on-line, because if GT5 locks up during an online match, you lose all the a-spec stuff you did before. That happened to me a while ago.

HUH? Are you for real? No game auto saves every second, why turn off the PS3 in the race menu? Sorry, but this is not GT5's fault.

Exactly right
