GT6 1.09 update problem. Ugh.

Yes. This is happening to me now. 1.09 doesn't wanna update at all. It mostly gives an error or just gets stuck at one point. I want to fully update this game to get the full experience of the game. I have tried some remedies, like downloading the updates one at a time, disabling the media server thing, deleting the game data and trying to install everything one by one, switching from wireless to wired connection, even going as far as jailbreaking my PS3 so I could update via a package file. Please suggest me what to do to fix this. Thanks.
 
Have you found anything yet? I've been trying to update the game to the latest version for the second day now and today I'm stuck on version 1.09 just like you. I really hope someone finally finds a way to get through this hellish process.

No, but another thing, GT6 started shutting down my PS3, so i think I need to replace the NEC/tokin capacators or smth.

Have you tried installing a couple of updates then booting the game, then installing a couple more etc. It takes some time, but it might stop it hanging where it does if you haven't tried that so far.
 
If anyone is interested, I've already solved the problem. I don't know if it's the same for others, but it worked for me. It was probably a problem with the game disc. I thought about copying the game to a USB drive, but when I tried, I got errors, so I realized that something was probably wrong with the disc. I got another copy, put it on a USB drive, and voilà—I installed all the updates at once without any errors, and the game runs perfectly fine.
