GT6 copies will leave Japan on December 2nd!

It's going to be a long cold winter if gt6 doesn't make it in time for Christmas. Going gold + 30 days would be terrible especially as I haven't pre ordered PS4 wanting to enjoy GT6 on the current gen.
 
I'm sure there doing all they can to get it out before Xmas, lets face it Xmas will be a big seller for them, no point them selling it after is there?

There certainly is.
 
I wonder if GT6 will not have the same illegal run as GT5 had when the retailers purposely sell the game way earlier than it's due date for release to maximize profit. Expect the game to be more expensive if it ever does that to a store near you.

I was once able to find Shift 2 Unleashed 2 weeks before it was released around the world but didn't bother to buy it until I felt Shift 2 was a good buy when the reviews came in.

My friend bought a book 3 months before it even came out. Goes to show that still not going gold at this time could make this possibility slim.
 
I just checked my local Norwegian retailers (elkjop.no, mpx.no and komplett.no), and according to the online info GT6 is expected in to their warehouses on the 2nd.

Yep. I believe this was some kind of crossed wires between PD and Sony about the Blu-Ray manufacturing deadline was it not? Manufacturing were working in monthly cycles and they missed the deadline by a day or or two, so they had to wait for the next cycle despite it being ready.

That's why I think the OP's info relates purely to shipping information from one manufacturing/warehouse location to their region. The fact that it's Tokyo is probably misleading, and shouldn't relate to last minute delays in development; the deadlines for going to manufacturing are likely to be many days before these dates the OP mentions.
 
I don't believe ALL discs are printed in Japan :confused:
but all I know I will be playing GT6 on the 5th of December :D
 
You never know guys some of us might get a copy before release date ;)
 
Well, the game is almost certainly gonna be on the torrent sites a few days before release, just like every game.
 
As GT5 went gold November 2nd, 2010 I wouldn't get too concerned. That was about 3 weeks before the release date.
And don't forget there were already rogue copies appearing halfway November...
 
Until PD officially come out and say there's a delay, I'm going to keep assuming (and praying) that the game will be released on time.

I just got an e-mail from Amazon stating that instead of getting the game on December 9th, I will get it on the 5th (December 6th is holiday here in Spain). It sounds good to me, having a long weekend to enjoy the game.

I am surprised they stated the 9th to begin with.

Amazon uk have always delivered on release day on pre orders to my knowledge...

6th is Friday, so the next day when he should get a copy is Monday - 9th

That sounds great!! I hope GameStop do the same here in Granada, if not it will be a veeeeeeeeery long four day holidays haha
