Low sales figures may be the best for the series in the long run in a perverse kind of way, what we have seen from GT6 shows that there needs to be a bit of a shake up. If the game bombs then it may act as the catalyst for PD to make some changes and make a better next gen for all of us.

Thing is they will attribute it to ps4 launch or Forza 5 or its a bad time of the year. And so on

I think they're headed in the right direction, but they're short on manpower compared to other AAA development studios. What they need to do is expand the team or outsource some of the work to others, or both. IMHO.

Actually, PD is now hiring both staffs and part-time workers. I don't know how many people they want to hire, though.

Forza looks better and has a much more realistic lighting effect. GT6 everything is too bright and shiny or pitch black. But not realistic and not grimy/ grey enough:/

Neither are "proper" gameplay... the Forza one is from the first presentation, the final game is very different (worse) and the GT6 screenshot is from the replay (notice the motion blur on the sides)... this one below is a direct capture from gameplay:

Anyway it's an awesome feat to have a last gen game compared to a current gen game. Image quality, specialy at garage and Forza Vista MUST, HAVE TO BE better... it's a much more powerful hardware.

But ingame, during races and comparing the lighting in photomode it's a different story and again, it's awesome that PD still have the most realistic lighting ever made. (not talking about image quality, talking about lighting alone, even if IQ it's great too) And it's nice to see that T10 is getting closer to an actual realistic look, they were too cartoonish before. Plus, their paint material with orange peel effect is fantastic. 👍

And c'mon. 512MB of total memory. What PD do is beyond witchcraft on this old hardware. They could even crank the resolution up.

They will probably attribute it to PS4 release though.
 
Hello everyone, I do not know if I am well placed (I specify that I'm french!), but I am speaking to those who have a copy of the game, I try to get me I can not find however match the stars in racing. On "sunday cup" for example, it there's 3 stars by racing, it must fulfill the objectives? Thank you for your repondes and sorry for my english made in google;-)

Forza's interiors are bad. Look at those glossy parts without any texture in Lambo. Just a solid color. Erm, I played Forza from 2 to 4 and I thought 5 could be the way better(it's next-gen, isn't it?) so I didn't even read about it so I won't get hyped. Well, there's nothing to hype about talking bout graphics.

Guys, that´s a joke right? you are comparing a big fat 7 year old Playstation 3, with the NextGen Game FM5 which ist completly designed for the new Console?! :confused: Are you awaiting any Wonder from GT6? :banghead: :rolleyes:

Well not everyone but some. Some wants it, some aren't bothered with it, I certainly wouldn't mind but at the same time not bothered. ;)

Also. Isn't that Forza pic from E3? I heard its been downgraded. :\

Oh, it feels so next-gen to have 3d people around the track in GT6. Oh, and weather... and night.

But downgrading to meet deadlines it's normal for us too... they got downgraded graphics, we got some missing features. At least we know they'll come in the future.

I know we shouldn't be doing GT vs FM in a news thread like this one, but I did see that...... I. I honestly wonder how the fans of the franchise, felt when they saw this... I mean, wth? Does MS think this is funny? And why does the folk below look like they came out of a PS1 game? Is that DAN! Okay, you know what? We should go back to discussing GT6, I don't I want to see this mess in my screen please... -_-
