Sony uses the last chance of milking PS3 and from what we can read forces PD to release an unfinished game...

I found it intrersting how Kaz wants to make a "professional version" of GT.

Just have it as a downloadable DLC expansion for those that want it, but is also part of the main game, so when you go online, even others without the DLC will see your cars etc

Surely cars tuned in the pro version will either be at an advantage or disadvantage to the amateur version though ?

It would have to be a stand alone title with its own online Comunity I think.

20x20 is still really big, especially compraing it to Nurburgrings 5x5.

It's awesome that B-Spec isn't forced anymore!

Looking more and more like 5.2 . I guess I'm not buying day one after all, unless they find some magical way to amaze me which doesn't seem very likely at this point. So keen to announce their DLC plans ahead when they can't even finish the basic game.

I'm sure PD needs a lot of forcing to do so. They'be been working on the PS3 like what, 8 years? How much longer should they take for a finished product?

Well GTA 5's map is about 80 square KM, and takes about 10 mins to drive around the perimeter, so it's about 4x larger

But 50x50 would have been so much better for the getting all those roads around Ronda! And give it more of a long drive feel, rather than a track...

ARMA 3's map was 270 square KM

Cause at this point I'm either expecting to get a 20x20 course maker a few months late, or a 10x10 or 5x5 course maker at release.

Even PD's promises should be taken with a grain of salt. You absolutely do not say that it will be at least 50x50 when in fact it's 20x20, and most likely not going to be there at release.

You know, this is the one thing I'm going to say to you. Not like 20x20 isn't small or bad either, so lets just leave it at that because you're getting angry and fustrated which I can't tolerate...

I'll take it as a sarcasm and don't answer ;)

I never said 20x20 is bad, but you don't lie to your fanbase. It makes it hard for me to trust anything Kaz says.

"Kazunori said at this point right now, they are not 100% sure that it is going to be 100 by 100 by kilometers, maybe it’s going to be 50 by 50 kilometers, but that’s still humungous as well,”

They shouldn't have said anything other than "We cannot 100% confirm the size of course maker right now, we are aiming for 50x50 however that is not final." This gives them the chance to down in size (And up) without lying to the customers that give them funding.

Gran Turismo 6: December 6th, 2013

Gran Turismo 6 complete edition, after all up-dates and patches and things that "might not make it on day one" and things that might not be "technically possible" at launch: December 6th, 2014.

After all those years without a real step up, it's annoying to hear that a thing as important as car sounds aren't done yet. Near every second quetion gets the answer "not there yet", "I would like to do it", "that is what we are looking into".

Google :)

It's not as big as you'd think, doesn't take very long to drive from one side to the other

No, I actually think it's smaller, like half what you said. I'll look it up.

Edit: I might have been thinking in miles.

Now that's something you can sink your teeth into. Well done Zero:tup:👍

20x20 is still massive and would take literally days and days to explore if we are given near total freedom as to where to place our roads. I'd be happy with a well laid out 10 x 10 actually:ouch:

Please don't give them any ideas!!!!
>20x20 or bust!

The larger map size will be good for multiple stage rallies in the same area

Have a look at my ARMA 3 pics I posted above, it gives you a good idea of the size, considering that is 270 square KM

I wouldn't mind seeing some smaller but particularly scenic areas offered as DLC in the future. A few bucks for 100 sq. km's of streams and hillsides and orchards and small towns, dirt roads, cobblestone streets, 3 lane roads, roundabouts...that would be worth something:idea:💡

Yeah, I wouldn't disagree with you. But I'm sure this time, Kaz means it. Like you said, he shouldn't have said to soon and should have clear first.

This is 270 square KM, in ARMA 3 - and is huge, so I'm quite happy with 400... but 50x50 would have been awesome!!

though I doubt GT6 will have the same detail, since this is a First person shooter

About the most recent interview, this really shows three issues:
1.- The usual delays (track creator not ready at release date).
2.- Kaz is not in touch with the development team (shrinking from 10,000km to 4% of that).
3.- Keeping the 1997 team, which is a mistake in a ever developing area. The current bests of their fields should be there, that come whether within the industry (videogames) or externally (movie and music making). In one word, quality.
4.- The team's small size was a thought decision, not enforced externally by PD or due to budget constraints. In one word, quantity or manpower.

And about the exact number, I'll say it is going to shrink a bit more.

Stratis is a "small" 19 Square KM island in ARMA 3 for comparison - and is still big! :)
