GT6 Online Gameplay changes

I have been searching around and the only information I can find is in this video.

The video says there will be online championship type events that will be supported through GT6 itself.

Does anyone have any details or know where I can find such confirmed changes? Or any type of changes to the online lobbies?
 
There is no real info on it yet. It was mentioned at the Silverstone reveal but no details were given and likely will not be for a while.
 
Aww.. I think online gameplay changes are what i am looking forward to most, if any.

Championship races through an online lobby would be awesome
 
Yep that would be cool. More than anything though I hope they give us leaderboards this time. This is a must have for any online racing game. Still can't believe we did not get it in GT5.
 
- The GT6 demo will be out before that, at least. July 2nd, if I remember right.

Yep July 2nd but we probably won't see anything related to the new online features in that build.
