The last months I have been busy on the GTPlanet forum more then with GT6.
It gave me a lot of new insights on how you guys play & enjoy GT6.
This ís how I came to this poll.
I play GT6 (and previous editions) >95% of the total playtime offline.
And I love it like that, but reading all your posts I see a lot of you play online only.
So this poll, I hope, will give us an idea of how much of us really play online only, and how much prefer just the offline part.

I prefer the challenges, missions, license tests, because I can play them whenever I want and when it suits me best. (Yeah I know it sounds selfish...)

I hope you all take the time to vote and give the audience, and me, an idea on how you enjoy your GT time.
(and also if I need to fear the future of the offline part, because I'm afraid it gets shorter each new edition)

Thanks! :)👍

Ps.: I searched the site but didn't find the same poll, so I hope the mods agree that this ís a fair question/poll.

If I had a better internet connection I'd probably spend half my time online.

I don't want to be the guy ruining a lobby or causing issues for others so I just spend my time hotlapping offline and doing the career races again.

<25% online for me. Probably about 5% at the moment.

I have a pretty good internet connection, but still if one of my friends creates a room, it can be suddenly, after a few rounds become LAG-gy and then sometimes I loose connection to the room.
That's so frustrating I don't dare race online with random people ... its such a spoiler ...
I would like to be online though ... but the frustration isn't worth the effort unfortunately ... (for me)

I have a good, stable internet connection but I don't race online as I have concentration issues and don't want to ruin someone else's race by making an error so I just play offline. Having completed the game to 100% some time ago, I just play in Arcade Mode doing the weekly WRS Time Trials although I do sometimes do the odd RB Championship or Like The Wind race for some credits. I usually cover between 750-1000 miles a week running the TT's so I get plenty of use from GT6 and I enjoy doing the Time Trialling more than 99% of the races in career mode

Sadly there was no' "I went back to racing online in GT5" option, so I couldn't vote! :sly:

That said I did have 1 race in GT6 the other night, & coming back from GT5 again I noticed just how awful the graphics in GT6 are regarding aliasing, flickering, & shimmering. It was so bad that I felt I was being constantly poked in the eyeballs. :ouch:

Hahahaha I'm currently in the waiting for GT6 update ... so playing GT5 modus too.
Yeah ... its kind of annoying but remember they try to get the best out of a 8(!) year old console ... maybe thats a comfort?

They're not trying to get the best out of the PS3, they're actually pushing it past what it's capable of, that's the problem. There was much less aliasing in GT5, & I was hoping they would improve it further, not make it worse. Digital Foundry reported that PD are running GT6 at a higher internal resolution than GT5, which is crazy! If they ran it at the same resolution as GT5, they'd free up more processing power & be able to run more effective anit-aliasing. Maybe they should go back to the type of AA they ran in GT5 as well, as it looked better.

They seem to value technical achievement over perceived visual quality. I wonder if they'll learn their lesson for GT7 on PS4, or will they stay stuck in the same mindsset & push that console beyond it's limits too? Only time will tell.

Single player is nothing more than time attack with slow moving obstacles. I've only ever enjoyed GT5 and now GT6 online...

Auwtsch ... I think you hit the nail on the head there ... never looked at it like that ... but I tend to agree with you .... it's a sad summary .....:(
