How many people would love to see some Sunday drives in the GT series. I'd buy a game that was strictly dedicated to Sunday drives alone. Here is a couple of roads I'd love to drive in game and in real life. For me GT5 will really begin when I've gotten the platinum trophy and I can drive for the sake of driving and these roads would be heaven.

Wow you've heard of the Tail Of The Dragon all the way up in Canada? Awesome!
 
You need to come down and drive/ride the Dragon's Tail sometimes. It's an awesome experience that you'll never forget.

Just a car and a road with the beautyful Gran Turismo graphics and physics.

Evidently, the guy who paved this road never heard of the "fastest path between two points is a straight line" rule. lol :D

You know what would be awesome? (apart from the idea in general, which I totally approve of) Panau. If they had the environment from Just Cause 2 and the driving physics from GT5, they'd have nearly endless hours of gameplay right there.

The Transfăgărăşan is known locally as "Ceauşescu's Folly". Nicolae Ceauşescu was the Kim Jong-Il of the 1980s, and quite possibly one of the maddest dictators ever to walk the earth. He used to have the leaves of trees hand-painted green before he arrived in a town, and he decided that the best way to alleviate Romania's foreign debt was to export absolutely everything that the country produced. Everything. And while he succeeded in paying off that debt, he also caused one of the worst famines the world has ever known because there was nothing left in the country. He didn't design the Transfăgărăşan personally, but you can see why the road was named for him.

Well, it's not like anyone would want to drive a straight line down there anyway...

Where do you get all that stuff from anyway? Are you like a walking encyclopedia or do you just go to google or wikipedia for every post? :)
 
I think that the "Great Ocean Road" of Southern Victoria, Australia would be brilliant as it has forests, cliffs, the ocean, and millions of different rock formations along its route.

Alternatively if you were looking for the exact opposite, the Eyre Highway has all the grace of a desert, sand, dirt, and dust while being the worlds longest stretch of straight road, 146.1 Kilometres without a turn.
 
With Sunday driving do you then mean driving slow?

And if this should be a reality, then there should be more possibilities to look around with the camera. But I guess everything is possible, after all it'll be a couple more years before GT6 is released...

It depends. In this case, my best friend is Romanian. Well, technically she's Moldovan, but Romanian is her first language. She tends to introduce herself as being Romanian or Russian (her surname is Russian and her family is too; they were living in Moldova when the Soviet Union broke apart), so she's my resident expert on all things Eastern Europe. I just let her talk for hours because her accent is amazing.
 
I would love if they had a section or 2 of the PCH, or possible part of RT66. If they really want to go crazy, put in; RT 50 from Ocean City MD to Sacramento CA
 
I would love to see Tail of the Dragon on GT! I've never had the privelage to drive it, but to have a track from close to home would be incredible.
 
I have been saying this for years..one of the most fun i had was with NFS 1 on coastal and mountain roads. I would love to see this again with updated graphics, sounds and cars but also traffic. I think traffic can be fun, especially when racing a friend.
 
I'd like PD to focus on RACING in GT6 so GT1 and GT3 class cars, rally's Formulas ect. I feel GT5 is more on the car ownership side of things. So I'd take GT's physics and premiums (plus more) and chuck 'em into a game like TDU with a custom island with roads based on these like Cote d azur is based on Monaco.

This would be cool if they put it in a seperate game like that.
 
I'd like the A57 "Snake Pass" so i could drive along it for "once in my life without getting held up by a farmer or HGV" Nice twisty narrow road to drive with lots of dips, actually the best driving on it is at night.The scenery is nice in the summertime too . Or the M1 without rush hour traffic !!!!!!!

A group of guys from up here go down south for track days in the summer and this is one of the roads they make sure to pass along the way. Haven't had the pleasure to drive it, but will one day. 👍

There are a lot of nice roads people have suggested. Drove from Ontario to California a few years back and my most memorable drives was the PCH, A stretch of highway straight as an arrow in texas while the sun was setting on the horizon, a Highway in the mountains in B.C and surprisingly the roads in northern Ontario.

What about the isle of man? wouldnt that be an amazing place to 'Sunday Drive' or a open area, in which to muck about, like a bigger Top gear test track. i know some people dislike the idea of the test track, but wouldnt that open road in Dubai, where Richard Hammond tested that lambo,, that looked amazing
 
Good idea, think it would take them too long to make to consider puttin it into the game. Imagine how long it would take to map it all out.

Being an Aussie, they both originate in the U.S. ......naturally. :lol:
