GT6, When is the first car awarded?

Hi Folks,
I've just started GT6 and have completed Novice with all gold trophies, and also the first licenses with all bronze, but did not win any cars.

Can anyone tell me how far along to I need to be before winning my first car?
 
If you have gotten all the stars in the Novice events you should have earned a Renault Sport Clio R.S. '11.
 
As you progress you will also win a car when you complete half of the stars in a license category. Also, GT6 tends to give bonus cars if you can obtain ALL GOLD in the license tests.

HERE is a link that shows you what the requirements are, and what you will win, as far as bonus cars are concerned.
 
Don't you also get a car for getting all the stars in a license category, in addition to one at 50% of the stars?

Yep. The exception is at Novice level - where you don't have a licence yet - where the first car is, as described above, for all stars.
 
Obviously your skill level may become a limitation, but you can look at this guide to avoid buying cars you're likely to end up getting for free anyway.

Edit: Just noticed @ALB123 posted something similar (or I should say I posted something similar to what he did), though mine is sourced from GTPlanet.
