I take the last turn (if I can) with an apex about 5 to 10 meters later, so just past the apex.. but I have to admit I also use the corner markers.. I know the pros don't need them, but I have they like and they help me.

But one other thing, I hope you can tell me something about that... I just had my last race and again there was an incident. I really don't think I was at fault here and I didn't do anything wrong... Ok after the race when he started complaining I shouldn't have called him NOOB... but I knew what was coming. .. And even after that he continued to text me via PSN what a Pig and unfair driver I was. OK sometimes I get angry... when I get hit badly... but here... I really had nothing to do with this driver. Or how do you see that..

I'm really getting my head around.

I'm assuming not many people are doing the daily races as somehow i just jumped on for first time after work (3am) did a few time trial laps for race b in the Alfa, set a 1.41.8 which put me on pole for the 4/5 races i did, which i won. I'm somehow 565th (approx) in the world.

Yeah I don't really get how he'd be mad about this, you didn't nothing but drive the racing line as he had a huge self destruct. When. he comes back across it's as if he expects you not to be there but that's his fault certainly not yours mate.

People really need to be watching things back before they start going off on one after the race, and the bonus is by that time even if you were wronged you've calmed down 👍

Thats what i was saying earlier bro, the old penalty system was bad but not this bad as not having penaltys, its pretty ridiculous when i start 4th or 5th, only to end up 10th or worse due to horrible drivers, they really need to keep S drivers away from lobbys with B & C sr drivers because they are very good at exploiting this new system to keep fair drivers from good results at end of race
Unless you're dirtier than poo, you still get an S rating for SR with the lack of penalties. I'm only in A+ or A rated DR lobbies and it happens all the time. Just like the curb riding glitch, a lot of people will exploit things to gain time or positions. Aside from bump drafts or small, side to side contacts with no repercussions to either, other contacts should get penalties.

Why not introduce warnings? First hit you get a warning (unless contact is heavy or frequent in a short period) and then a penalty if you do it again same race.

I don't know guys, I did six or seven races today and other than the first one, there was some great, clean racing. Like, something out of a dream. It was excellent. Those who deserved a penalty got one, at least around my vincinity.

Maybe I got lucky or maybe people just complain a lot. I would suggest playing pretend and next time you get an undeserved penalty, pretend you're having car troubles or that they took too long to get your tires on in the pit. Motorsport is heartbreaking by nature.
So early in the evening I had some great races. As you say a lot of the drivers were clean and fair. It was good hard racing which I like.
But late on in the evening after a few have maybe had a few beers it just turned nasty and when the penalty system doesn’t work it just means people abuse the rules more and think it’s ok to carry on doing that. People not leaving space and pushing people wide off the track, punting and nudging others off, people divebombing and using your car as brake so they can make the corner and the worst one pit manoeuvers.

Okay, I'll take that as a warning. I stopped playing around 7pm.

Struggling for race pace at RBR, the Z4 seems to understeer compared to the WRX fest, by lap four I am struggling for turn in. We had this combo pre-patch and I was catching and passing folks in the last three laps because the Z4 has that planted rear end, but they changed the physics so the cars are not as twitchy and that advantage has left me.

You're right.. The Z4 has become "more difficult", before the handling update it was very stable without too much under/over handlebars, now it has a higher tendency to lower handlebars. Yesterday I briefly tested the Jag for race C.. it gave me a better time straight away... let's see if I can find some more time for it today.

Two time in two races I've been punted into to the sea of sand on RBR, that right hand downhill corner, no. 4. Totally destroyed my races. 4s penalty for the offender, awesome, what about gazillion seconds I lost and my ruined race?

Server update on 9th of June so it “might“ all be fixed
Hmmm... We will see what they do, maybe a bop adjustment on wrx & realized they went too far in basically erasing penalties? I'm hopeful but not gonna get excited because, well, you know.. This is PD we are talking about lol

I'm actually quite enjoying races B & C - set my fastest B quali with the Silvia Touring car but it's not so hot in the actual races, might go back to the Alpha.

And I must have missed most the week last time C was at RBR so it's quite fresh for me!

The penalty system is of course a complete joke, though it was hardly good before they changed it either. It would be good if worked how we probably all want in our minds but it's probably just too difficult to code.

I say, why so many racing tests?
Presently, we have races without tire wear and fuel consumption.

At PD, who set up the Dailies, is/are dumb/s or idiot/s. Or everything.
The tracks are usually the same. Don't understand why so many in GT7, most of them aren't set to dailies.
The same for cars.

And the ridiculous WRX supremacy, is so stupid as the free cars for racing.
I say again, free cars for practice and qualifying, I accept. For racing, no!
It's just silly and good for the occasional ramming kids and noobs.
These occasional players go to the front, due to the free car and ram good and clean players, because they want to win,
as they are used to drive in Forza and GTA.

There. Oh, The only brand I don't have yet is Subaru. Lol. Coincidence or not. Didn't buy any, yet.

Btw, the penalty is not working now?
Most of the times, there are no penalty to hits, just for cutting track.

Haven't done any sport mode since beginning of last week. Been trying to catch up on single player stuff and accumulate some credits.

Did have a quick 10 min qauli session on RBR with the WRX this morning. Got down to 29.2 on a pretty scruffy lap so should be able to get into the 28's fairly easily. Gonna have a go in some other cars tonight hopefully. Want to have a go at Race B as well.

For what it's worth, I was in a race last night in which the Jaguar ran away and left everyone in the dust

Trying out the Mustang at Red Bull Ring this week. It seems to be fine so far and I need more time with it to find the limits of the car. I did try the Supra that I saw in the top times, but like Sport not my favorite to drive. I'm at a 1:30.3XX so far and know I can find .3 seconds to get to a 1:29.XXX. I forgot how much of a pain the track limits on T1 are and that's going to be my downfall this week.
I rented the old Tom's Castrol Supra. It was fun and kept up with the WRX in race

Edit: autocorrect in Swedish makes your post look like it was written by the Swedish Chef.....

First proper race today this week in race B and such a shame how much the penalty system being removed has ruined it. It’s like GTS was now where you have two choices. Defend for you life in every corner by hugging the inside and ruining your times and any chance of having a good race, or try and race properly and get rammed off at every corner also resulting in a pointless race.

I'm still on the fence whether to race again or not until they fix the penalties. Been spending lots of time experimenting with different cars in qualy mode. Using my 1:41:9 GTR time as benchmark:

- McLaren really handles well and, for me, handles this track the best. Downside is top speed but I think, in a race (since car handles slightly different) it makes up for it. Best time is 1:42:9

- Silvia also handles great but needs a wide turning circle to remain smooth. Slightly better top speed than McLaren but slower acceleration. Best time is 1:42.7

- Supra is similar to Silvia, bit more lively in the corners, better acceleration but lower top speed. Best time I managed was 1:43:1

- Alfa just doesn't suit my style, I struggle which gear to take to exit slow corners since they are longer ratio in general. Best time is 1:44:0

Might try using the Atenza and Viper and see how that goes. Will also try improving my time using the GTR but then use the McLaren or Silvia for a race and see what happens.

99% will get shoved off lap one and see how far the controller flies out the window 🤣

Im going to hop back on there now as i rage quit last C race because of the divebombing the inside when you try to take any corner now, i havent quit a race in over a month but being did that way multiple times, fight your way back to 5th finally, then have it happen again but this time knock me into the sea of sand my beetle spun out and i was last again, that was last straw, i was over it & left race...i pray they do more than maintenance tomorrow or I'll be only racing mainly in manu & nations series, if that & it sucks because i enjoy racing & the game

Oh man, I was shaking today... but it's done... finally I've been able to control myself long enough to finally become an A driver.

But you can believe me.. and see for yourself.. it wasn't easy to stay calm with such players.

Okay, this has to be some sort of netcode issue. In the races I was in last night, those type of shenanigans were one hundred percent getting penalties. But it was set at such a reasonable sensitivity that going three wide into the second to last corner of RBR as respectfully as possible but with some contact, of course, resulted in no penalties. It was great.

Again, I think the penalty system itself was working fine last night but it's the SR system that needs a violent overhaul.

You managed because you're a cheat and a rammer 😂🤪

On a serious note, congrats bro 😎🤜🏻🤛🏻

Strange how it varies isn't it - I've been running race B (B/S rooms), and I've had some of the best races I've ever had! No divebombing at T1, respect when overtaking other cars, in fact practically 100% clean.

Love driving the Alfa too, much faster than the WRX for me, and more stable on the corners!

Penalty system debate is just going to be on running soap opera.
I think the penalty system works well when all racers are similar racers understand how to race, but it totally goes out the window when you have idiots that just don’t understand. As @BigSarj says I think the whole SR system need reworking. I got called a cheat today but I got a clean race bonus so how does that work?

This clip was one race today.
1st incident - Porsche serves a penalty and the McLaren behind hit them due to the ghost reappearing but what makes it worsts is the Porsche is still accelerating and then goes off.
2nd - McLaren goes wide then decides to just cut the corner and take people out, no penalty awarded
3rd - classic people don’t know they need to adjust the braking, slams into two cars and no penalty.
