Man this Elantra is incredible!!! Absolutely flys round the track and just absorbs every mistake you make 😂😂
Happy for you, but I still struggle to get outrageous qualifying times and compete with godlike players the game just loves to sort me with all the time for some reason... Why are my skills so limited as a controller user and why do I keep getting sorted with these people when my DR is A?

I have not had time yet to try the new physics but I am baffled as to why the AMG has been strangled again? I understand why the Porsche was, that was inevitable. If you are going to go down the road of making it 'closer' to real world reality then why buff a car that would actually be on a par now? Mind boggles with this game sometimes.
Care to explain what happened to the AMG Mate? More understeery or hp reduction? This is my favorite Gr.3 car btw.

I got it too which doesn't make sense to get both.

Played Race A a few times today for the first time this week I enjoyed it.
in Daytona it does make sense. You can carry more speed into the next lap, when you cut the last section, which slowed you down. The penalty makes sure you dont have this adventage.

why isnt anyone upset about the nerfing (-22) of the Peugeot VGT 🤭 i just dont get, why they put effort to slow down cars that are already seen as often as unicorns on the Grid. . I actually used the Peugeot vgt at Watkins glenn , because its topspeed and acceleration over 230 kmh, let me overtake m6 metas on the uphill straight before the bus stop. Now ,it's completely useless.

I’ve raced St Croix once before and it was really good fun so looking forward to that!

Never raced Autopolis.

Set up allowed at race B and C ? This doesn't mean i can change the the differential and spring rates, or does it?
I’m my limited understanding I think it’s just the brake balance but I could be wrong

I honestly can't say whether the new physics update is bad or if it's just me who hasn't gotten used to it yet. I will play more tonight and see it.

Clear as a bell from the nerf chart, blatant they are pushing Hyundai/Kia.
Interesting how they buffed the Hyundai Genesis Group 3 considering how popular it is right now. It used to be an underdog in the Group 3 class. Yet, oddly, when the Chevrolet Vision Gran Turismo cars were added to the game, the performance of the Corvette Group 3, which is still Chevrolet's only Group 3 car in the game, wasn't seriously improved, unlike Hyundai's Group 3 car recently. Why is that?

Last time we had St. Croix + Gr.4 cars, we had to choose from 6 or 7 cars which were only FR. My DR during that week shot up to its highest ever as I was racing on my favorite track in my fav Gr.4 car (SLS AMG). The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was the preferred car by many. What a race combo it was.

They should do this in Gr.3 & Gr.4 races where a selection few cars should be made available so always the typical meta cars don't dominate each & every week.

Ugh... It's so annoying when they force us to use hard tires for Race B with Group 3 cars...
It used to be very frustrating as the oversteer snap on exit was a nightmare, from the streamers reviews it seems like the grip loss and oversteer has been reduced as part of the physics update so this may make it more forgiving and on RH’s?

Hard to tell if I’m used to it or not, got a good global time in race B, but player numbers are very limited so can’t really tell. Car seems easier to drive though with no risk of spinning Out.

Looking forward to next week, really enjoyed it when we were there at the start of the year, it’s a very nice track when you get the flow down

I feel my luck is in on the roulette daily racing this week, first I got gifted a Lambo then I won 1 million credits this week! Is anyone else getting more prizes lately or have I hit the jackpot here. 🤑

We've had daily races for Group 4 cars where only one drivetrain was allowed. There was a race where only 4WD Group 4 cars were allowed, one where only FF Group 4 cars were allowed, and a few where only FR ones were allowed. It'd be neat if we got a race only for the MR Group 4 cars.

Here’s a really good video from Luke Elliot about the physics changes and really simplifies how it affects braking and throttle.

Maybe with the huge changes made n the update they may well have a brand new system for the cars in the daily races? I agree it would be cool if they changed it up like you said or had weeks where it was just a single car so you’re forced to use different cars and not get penalized if they’re not the meta.

Looking forward to see what the craic is on Monday

Mate even Tidgney released a similar vid. In his vid, he said & showed even the LSD & suspension (stock) settings for cars have been changed. I wonder if setup changes allowed for Race B & C next week is that we can make changes to these to suit out driving style? Maybe some expert user here can help shed some light on this.

A little off-topic here but kind of related to next week's Race C.

We all must've raced or driven at Sainte De Croix B or A even but almost all must've not touched layout C & that even in reverse. It's my absolute favourite track (layout) & it's massive (10kms+) which is why it may never show up in daily race C. But if anyone wants to see how thrilling the layout is, the can see the gameplay from the vid attached below.

Man I haven’t enjoyed a week of racing this much in bloody ages, think last time was probably when we were all dumping it out at Yamagata. Been some super close, fun, tight racing this week!

Also since the physics update, every time I’ve seen someone brass dip a penalty they’ve spun out so maybe they’ve fixed that? Hopefully!!

I’d guess it would be the TT first, but who knows.

Not like I can race it from a lounger on the beach :)
Tough at the top mate 😎 have a great holiday!!!

It's a proper race track. You can overtake everywhere. Been about 2 years since last appearance I think so well overdue.

Gr2 at St Croix in race C is going to be a fun and challenging week! Looking forward to it

Race A - Blue Moon Infield A Reverse. BMW M4 '14. 8 laps Sport Mediums, slidey slidey. False start check.

Race B - Autopolis, Gr3. 6 laps, Racing Hards, Rolling.

Race C - St Croix B, Gr2, 12 laps, 3x fuel, 7x tyres. Racing Hards and Mediums, no minimum number of pitstops but requires tyre use. Rolling start. Brake Balance allowed.

Finished one Race C with the GT-R Nismo just because it's a couple of tiers above all other cars due to tremendous downforce. 75% of the available cars for this race will either be avoided or sparsely used because they're no match for the Nismo.

I enjoyed the race mainly because it's St. Croix.

I don't understand why they ever run Gr.2 with the whole car selection available - they've literally bopped all of them to run separately, the GT1 cara are about 10-15 seconds off the pace of the GT500s.

GT1s at St Croix by themselves would've been a pretty cool combo to be honest.

Couple of notes from my race C. Made a mistake of putting on lap 2 for some Hards. Don't race St Croix that often so already at a disadvantage, the tyres were mostly shot at the end. Whatever your tyre choice I think halfway for pitting seems a good idea.

Edit: oh yeah, if isn't obvious, don't refuel.
