Just needs a) the right car(s) and b) the sausages on that chicane removed and replaced with sand.
It's such a weird little track and each sector has it's own weird personality. I like how the track flows from that long straight through the last sector and onto the start finish, it's everything before that I can't wrap my head around.

The BRZ is fun here but definitely needs more mechanical grip. Feels like all the traction is coming from downforce and so when you're in slow speed corners with severe direction changes it wants swap ends quickly.

A surprisingly fun 1st night back after a month away from the dailies. I don't have the energy for race c and dont fancy nursing one tyre all race either. Not a fan of willow so decided to at least try Race A.

The 370z was better to drive than I remember from a TT we did a while back its fairly predictable and as I've said here several times, a slower car made Sugo a lot more enjoyable.

Got my QT down to 37.5, I suspect I can dip into the 36s if I get it all right. Ran three races, two respectable finishes and one flag ton flag win after a fight for the first 3 laps.

Racing others always gives away where you are fast and slow. I seem to be gaining a lot of time through the final corner, and doing well through the double left handers as well. I am really struggling through the right hander onto the back straight, as well as the right hander before it, both just after thr sausage chicane. I am just too slow on both entry and exit there so need to work on it.

Racing itself was a bit bargey but not too bad. Best places to pass are T1 and basically anywhere you feel you can keep a tight line through one of them three double headed corners.

This definitely going to be a ripe week for DR farming, this Audi and Willow are a great little combo, I even held off an A+ this morning,

A nice little win from 5th where 1st and 2nd tangled a little coming off the last corner on lap3 and I just sailed right by them

Race B here I come later today, I like Willow and like farming DR more 🤠 :gtpflag:

Was having a blinder then at sugo, cruising in p2. Then the pit stop!....
Comes out to a pit lane penalty and then couldn't get a rythym going on the medium tyres. Ended p10. Was sould destroying the last few laps, but ground it out.

I did a couple race A yesterday, and that track is really nice. Gonna need some time to get decent at it though. Definitely a couple corners that are trickier than they look. Mostly was driving around at the back alone as i was being matched with far better/faster drivers, so not sure how the actual racing was lol

I managed a 1.37.4xx qt with lots of timenon the table. If i can figure this track out i might be able to hit a low 36.

Man I really should have practiced the Sugo pitlane or watched some videos first 🙈🤣

P6 to 14th 😭🤣
I'd seen a comment about it earlier thinking, "oh well I guess it's just one of those where you need to REALLY stay inside the white line"

Bashed into the wall, got stuck completely horizontal and reset in the course, delaying my already delayed pit stop.

Then proceeded to not stay in the line anyway and get a penalty on the pit stop.

Yesterday was a little under the weather so didn't Sugo much. Today it was a mixed bag of results which was expected.

I did notice game lag / framerate drop especially in the starting laps of the few races I tried. I noticed if there are many cars in view, there was a lag. When by myself, there was no lag. I thought this was a PS4 related issue but when seeing Calster's livestream yesterday, he too was complaining of lag on his PS5 gameplay.

Today the lag seems less. Yesterday when I played a few races, a race in which I won, I got this error message prompt after the race was over & when I only was in the lobby. Got irate seeing this.

Today had a few miserable races and a few good ones. This was the best of the lot. Players behind me were fighting for position from lap 1(I started on pole too) which is how the gap kept increasing. Plus, they were on the alternate strategy (RS-RM).

Apart from the AMG, I 'm most comfortable & confident with the Supra in which I also lowered my PB to 1:17:821 after practicing Sugo for 71 laps in TT. Love the flow of the track. I wanted to improve my TT as starting ahead is so damn important here.

Carbon copy of what I did haha

I think people's concerns about Sugo come from a lack of comfort with the track. Spend the time to learn it and it flows so well.

I've racked up a few more wins already :D

Currently debating whether or not I want to commit to learning the new track and going racing this week. My pace the past few weeks has been a bit off. My aim recently has been to be 1-1.5 sec off the WR quali time and I've found myself +2.0 sec off at Spa and Interlagos. I did adjust my seat position recently to give my feet a bigger range of motion for throttle/brake control. This coincided with the physics update. So I have a few variables at play that need to be sorted. Just feels a bit daunting at this point lol.

It never ends though, you're just re-setting the bar every time you improve. You'll go mad and ruin the fun. Jump in, qualy, race and let things fall as they may. The joy is in the racing.

The honeymoon period in A seems to be over, it would seem what I thought was a decent time isn’t too special at this level, started plum last in my 2 races today at willow

Tried to improve it today and only managed within a tenth! Twice!!

So may it be a swift return to b 😁

@Bondwhar that’s close! You got more you reckon?

Very true. It's a balancing act when it comes to performance expectations and remembering that it is just a game. Once you see some positive results it makes you want more week after week. The cycle does indeed never end.

I honestly do think I could find .3 off that. I saved my fastest lap and following my ghost 👻 after the T1 I am getting ahead but not hooking up the rest of the lap. Bit more dedication tomorrow afternoon I guess.
I really enjoy chasing my chums ‘ooo er Mrs’ 😂🤠

Manged to jump on for a bit of quali and a few races in C. It is fun to have a new track to whizz around. Jury is out if I like the racing here though. Seems super easy to just get nudged off the track and then it takes 2 business days to get back on.

Feel like I might be able to squeeze into the 1.16’s if I stick a solid bit of time into quali.

Been playing about with TC 2 and 0 and 2 seems to even out how volatile the curbs are a little bit so I think I’m going to stick with it.

I’ve also realised I view other races the same as I view other people at the gym!! Oh he’s stronger then me? 100% he’s on steroids! Oh he’s faster than me? 100% he’s on softs 😂

😂😂😂 I did practice it and I still screwed it up 🤦‍♂️

Keep chipping away mate, it’s only Tuesday! Plenty more laps to be driven and PB’s to hit throughout the week!!!

Sammy was having a lot of issues with frame drops on base PS5. Can't say I've noticed but I have VRR 120Hz enabled which evens things out nicely.
As a side note, fully recommend Hellraiser for any fans of the movie. Having a blast with it, reminds me of the old Condemned games mixed with modern RE games

What's your time? I find that there is a lot of time to be had from the end of the back straight to the finish line. I brake out to the curbing (follow the dark lines), then accelerate out of the hairpin tight in 2nd gear. That last corner can cost you 1/2 second. Try to get as tight as possible by midway so you can be flat to the finish line.

VERY INTERESTING point noticed by Calster 25 (YT)............

The right hander before he back straight.....where we can run wide onto the astro turf & still not get a penalty. Looks like we can still get a penalty. When exiting that corner, if Your right wheels end up running on the light green turf (just outside of the red and white kerbs), You'll get a half second penalty. Either stay on the red and white kerbing OR go completely wide.

See the screenshot below for reference.

As most of You'll be knowing, the digital speedometer display is the approximate width of the car in this view, we can see the right end of the digital display (his car's right wheels) were on the light green part & he got a 0.5 penalty. If You go wider, no issues at all.

Is that Willow? Sorry I was talking DR A not race A 😁

Great time though mate!

I think this is the closest I've ever been to you and @brockie (we won't mention the guy at the top 😄) - switched to the Audi yesterday, and found 0.6 seconds over the Elantra!
Good time that mate, @Barney Da Dog back up into alien territory!!

@Bonneville120 did you mention you used DG-Edge's telemetry thingy? I'm a bit of a technophobe, how did you hook it all up to the laptop to get it to work?

I am finding the races pre 6am to be the best for me, had 3 this morning and all were DR increases, I won’t bother with the lunch one today, don’t fancy starting at the back!

I think I preferred it in B just banging around 25-28k, full SR, still pretty competitive but for the life of me I can’t get any faster to consolidate DR A, and tbh don’t have the time either.

Yeah I saw that mate, it’s a great combo and you must be right at the thick end! Funny that you improved in the Audi over the Elantra where as I did the opposite 😁

@Bondwhar tried to get a crack on with your time and actually had an optimal very close to a 1.19 - something to work towards for the rest of the week
