Is it just me or do people from certain countries race really dirty, particularly those with a red dot on their flag.....
Don't know about Sport because I haven't played yet but the Japanese make the best street car lobbies and since everyone in EU is a fast n furious Gr.3 cool kid I have no choice but to join them and lag, but they're very welcoming from my experience.

It all depends on your Dr and Sr you should be good if you farm it a little.

Hey I have the same livery! It is my favorite group 3 car (and i just bought a 997, like in real life!!) but the lack of top end really hurts. It seems to skooch out of corners fine enough but mid way down long straights it runs out of lungs. I think it is gearing, 7th, is SUPER SUPER long. Try the Z4 for a similar feel with more top end.
Having the Manthey livery makes it feel faster even if it isn't! It feels like its permanently stuck in a fuel saving map, I'll stick with it for now even if it's impossible to win it's good for practicing racecraft and trying to defend. I can't use the Z4 yet because I need to find a Marc VDS livery first 🙈

Lucky to have my Subaru contract so I can run that at Red Bull ring. Was running in fifth when top three dropped for some reason. Hope it wasn’t the games fault cause that would suck.

Momma sucks with the Mazda having such advantage. I might buy it to give it a go. I’d rather them give us five cars to choose from each week with decent bop than an entire category with no bop (and by no bop I mean crap bop)

Did an absolute beauty of switch back overtake in Monza today on two cars going into the 1st chicane. Was 3 a breast, me on the outside, so I braked a little bit earlier then normal to get the car slowed down nicely so I can turn the car in nice and sharp on the right corner, but as I could turn more sharply for the left handed I was able to put the power early and blast past the two cars. I was going to save the replay but forgot.

Had some decent races today. My RAF Spitfire enspired (Atenza Pic) Atenza was quick. I hate I had to stoop down to buying the thing but was the only way I was able to fight the top 5. It was fast and nimble (like the proper Spitfire plane) and I was 2 seconds quicker than my fastest time in the GTR.
RBR again few decent races on there. Was running P4 in one race with P5 pushing me hard from behind. Gap always between 0.5-1.0 second. Around lap 9 I went and made a mistake at T4 by braking too late. For what ever reason every race Ive done so far, around lap 8/9/10 I always made a mistake at T4. Anyway today I found out why that happens and it when the sun goes behind the clouds. The shadow casted across the track from the overhead sign on the 150/100 meter marker board is my braking visual point. As soon as the sun goes I mess up. Need to find a new marker point.
Also Ive noticed the Race C is now becoming a WRX race.

I was back up to B/S rating today and wow what a difference the racing is by just jumping up league. Dropped back to C/S a few days ago and when your in the midfield pack it’s just carnage. Drivers love a dive a bomb and don’t care what happens, they push you off the track on straights or pit manoeuvre you, and some don’t understand track etiquette. I know this doesnt apply to all drivers in C/S rating but today in B/S it was just good, hard but fair racing.

Moving from d/s to c/s I was amazed at the difference in etiquette. C/s is bumper cars compared to the d lobbies where people are maybe a little too cautious. C/s it’s so important to qualify well or you’ll be taken out for having the gall to pass.

So true. You can have some good races in C but it’s getting away from that pack thats crucial.

You're a second a lap faster than me!
That’s just a lucky qualifying lap. I’m running high 31s / 32s in race with the WRX and just go backwards. I tried the RCZ, I felt more confident and it’s way nicer to drive but was running a second slower than the WRX in race. I struggle quite a bit with the later laps with tyre wear. It’s just not a track I feel comfortable with. I went into some lobby racing and was more enjoyable. I’ll stick with that until Monday. I tried to set a lap for Race B but GR4 is so boring, especially on that track. Some GR2 would be fun, although I have to admit I’ve never done a gr2 race!

I'm running, in clean air, high 31's and very competitive in S/A lobbies. Not winning but top 5 finishes and hounding guys in latter laps. Best fun i have had on GT7 for sure. The way i drive, point and shoot is my friend. My worse tracks are flowing ones, Fuji, Suzuka etc where momentum is key, i tend to chuck her in hard and hope it sticks so RBR right up my alley. Different strokes i guess.

Just got a win in the GTR! Yes, that was a goal for Daily C. Unfortunately, I forgot to save the replay so no cool photos. :-(

Tried another but in the Porsche. That just ain't happening... for me anyway. It's just too slow on the straights; I lose so much time. Plus, it's a little tail happy when going through T3 (the sharp, uphill one) and I am not sure how to solve it with BoP. I'm able to hold it but I lose so much time.

I too managed a win with a GTR and a 2nd with a Mustang... no Atenza so far needed at least on race C

Monza is awful, full Atenza race now! Surely tuning would throw up a bit more variety than what is currently on display.
I've been getting podiums and top 5's in the GT-R consistently but as much as I'd like to think it's pace it's more just driving Monza well and staying out of trouble as the Atenza's get their pens and gravel time added up playing knockabout through the chicanes, the leader is often 12-15 seconds up the road by the end.

I love Monza so just driving it in anything is a plus for me but I get that's not going to be enough for everyone. I didn't mind it so much in Spain as it had a sort of V8 Supercar spec feel about it and the car is a good ride for that track but Monza isn't that same kind of thing, it really needs the big GT players to be competitive to have fun with.

I recently got moved up to A/S during the Manu cup so I was thrilled to be moving up in Race C through the lobbies. Can only do a 1.29.9 in quali for the RCZ but was constantly dragging myself up to Top 5 positions from 12th place or so in A/S.

Then I got bumped up to a much higher split and found I was racing for 10th, hard going and was still beating a few A+ guys and a couple of quitters, so I hope the DR is there or thereabouts and I haven't taken a hit.

But not bad for a controller weeb, Refuse to race the Atenza until I really understand it.

Anyone have any fun with the Sciroccos?

So I went back in and got another win in the GTR (current in B|S). This time remembered to save the replay for the pix!

This race was pretty exciting, as the guy who was in P2 was always right behind me (as it should be), and the guy in P3 was right behind him. At the best I think I had a 1.5 sec gap but usually he was well within a second, often within slip range.

I was managing to keep the gap though. Coming up the front straight for the last lap, one of the players was AFK/AFC and decided that rejoining the race right in front of me was the best time to do it. **** now I have a lapped car to deal with on the last lap! Caught him at T3 (the sharp uphill) and he stayed wide, but I had to take the turn really tight. Wish he would've just pulled over on the straight. In fairness, his car was ghosted but I like to make things as realistic as possible and didn't want to drive though his car. He didn't know that so I don't think he was trying to compromise my race... that being said, he did move out of the way and slow down on that next straight for P2 to get around. Could've been worse but it could've been a lot better.

Anyway, the gap then went from ~1.2ish down to 0.5! P2 kept it there and close the gap coming into the last turn. He took it better than me (that GTR is a little slippery so I was really nervous of spinning). He had a run and was right on my tail, but, unfortunately lost the car and spun into the wall. I was really bummed that happened as I think I would've still won but maybe by half a car or so; would've been really exciting drag race to the line. Funny part was, since he was facing backwards now he drove over the finish line in reverse haha. Lost two places but fair play!

Pretty much my rear view for the whole race:

Last lap, last turn... right before he lost it.

And finished, P1! The green Subaru is the lapped car and you can see the blue/yellow one in full reverse mode!

The sound of the GTR is amazing. I’m going to buy it next time I’m on.

I knew I should have bought the GTR last week.Decided to buy a new Gr3 car was between AMG, M6E (Endurance) and the GTR. Opted for the AMG which has been great and also decided I want to M6E too. What a waste of money the M6E was.
Think the GTR has to be the next buy.

Haha looks like daily race c will be a GTR race over the weekend.
Been thinking about which team to pick in the next Manufactures cup. Had McLaren and Aston Martin so far.
Mercedes or Nissan my next choice.

I don’t remember the drivers name but there’s currently a GT-R in the top 10 Q times for race C.

Normally I don’t chase ghosts as they’re often a different car than the one I’m using but as a fellow GT-R user I found it quite interesting here.

It seems like my biggest weakness is slow speed corner exit, I’m still slower in the high speed mind but the areas he really pulls clear is when it comes down to getting the power down.

My best Q so far is 1:29.7 which is approx my goal (within 2s of the top time) but it would appear I just don’t have the dexterity with my fingers that I do my feet to really maximise corner exit.

I have to say I continue to have fun with these races and hotlap challenges though, it’s refreshing to have the challenge of seeing how much I can improve on controller vs where I’m at with a wheel.

In fairness, my Q lap was in the Subaru at 1:30.11X. But, I was able to get pretty close in the Nissan. The GTR is a bit more tail happy, so just a heads up. NOTHING like the BMW, but you just have to be a little careful on your throttle v steering v turbo spool is all; short shifting is your friend. The GTR is definitely fast enough to win, but also challenging enough to keep things interesting. I didn't like the GTR in GT-S but this one is fun. The shifting sound is a bit odd but you get used to it!

I just have a thing of using the meta car in a race sometimes, so if there is something else that is competitive, I'll give it a go. Makes getting the W that much more fun. I have done this race - and won - in the Sub, but only once (when I got bumped up to B). I've also won this race in the Jag a couple of times. One of my Jag wins the guy in P2 was also in a Jag, so that was cool.

Happy hunting!

PS - I love this livery. To whomever did it, nicely done. I did modify it a bit to change the number to 16, but looks great!

Talon is your online name D.Stig? See video below towards the end, is that you? It's the video cover shot too, is that you?

Another good night at RBR, video is a touch boring but I started P14 and finished 5th despite a sloppy first lap. I definitely have more race pace than my qualy of 30.7 suggests, I can keep pace with the top 5 or so despite qualifying low. Weird thing is, my optimal is a 30.5 so not like I have more pace in me but I can do 31's as late as lap 11.

This was a good race, the Aston driver was very fair, same the GT driver and the GTR at the end.

No sir, not me. I go by J Bro on GT-7.

Might be worth revisiting your quali lap? I had done a 30.4 in the GTR which was good enough to start me in the top two or three... until I got bumped into B. Then I was 5/6ish. So I grabbed the Sub and worked on some quali laps and got it down to 30.1, which then put me back in the top three, just to jump back in the GTR for the race. Helps a lot, obviously.

That being said, some of the most fun racing I had was when I was in the 5th-ish spot. A lot more action for sure.

so is the prudent move just to bite the bullet and buy the atenza? Wish You could see more than the top 10 to see what other cars are competitive
