Does anyone know how to get a DR rating reversed after a race (Race C)?

Came home in 4th (started 6th) and my DR rating has gone down! 🤔🤷‍♂️ Never seen that before... very strange.

So, if anyone knows how I can get that PD fauxpas reversed, please let me know. Thanks

Did you quit the race immediately before this? If this race started before the other one finished, this can happen as your DR loss in the previous race exceeded the gain in this one.

Thanks, good to know. My PS5 just suddenly shut down in the previous race... and its just happened again. Hope the damn thing doesn't blow up... lol

Thanks for reply - see comment above.

After quitting on Fuji fairly early I’ve been having a blast of a time at Sardegna in that Radical, race A is where it’s at these days for me, I know it’s a bit dependent on liked tracks and not liked tracks and recently B has been pony apart from the Glen, Road Atlanta, DTS.

But race A standouts for me recently have been the civic at the glen, civic at Tokyo, that little microwave looking thing at Suzuka and the old banger on the Swiss alps

Every now and again, like this week a peach of a track and car combo presents itself and as I like sticking with one track all week, I’m dialling in at sardegna, got it down to a 1.00.3xx today, a whisker below @newmedia_dev but still a way to go to get @benjoi84 super impressive time.
I loved the Swiss alps. When you have a slower car the lines are just as important. And the radical race A is on par. I’m new to this but bring on more race a’s

Well, as luck would have it, I lost my 💩 today. There's a guy who is fast, but I don't think I have ever seen his SR above A. He is constantly contacting EVERYONE. He hits me in T1, then gets upset at me for hitting me, then punts me off the road. Ruined my race from 2nd.

I tried to cool off for a while, but an hour or so later, I happened to encounter him again. Me on pole, him starting 4th. I was prepared to let it go, but he chirped something at the beginning of the race. At the end of the first lap, I see him bully his way through the cars ahead of him.

I couldn't take it. I let him pass, then punted him...twice. I probably took a few people out doing it. I just couldn't keep my cool any longer.
What if they made it so you could prefer not to be in certain people’s races.

Well, the matchmaking normally does that. Sometimes, you have to take matters into your own hands.

Now, to follow up on the DR vs Win discussion.

NOT TO LAY BLAME (so no names) but here's what I'm talking about when it comes to thinking DR rather than thinking win. This is the last lap of a race earlier today (I'm in the Hurican). The guy in front of me blocked me all race and, in doing so, slowed both of us down. On lap 5, he knew that I was going to go for the pass, because I was in position for a pass the entire race and I pulled back to avoid a collision.

Near the end of the lap, you can see the blocking attempts again, then a turn in to me, which leads to more contact, which all brought the third car into play.

For what? SR was lost by everyone and the finishing position was the same as it would have been without the absolute commitment to win it or bin it. Was this fun? Not for me.

I'd rather we normalize putting ranking ahead of winning. Again, just my opinion and how I go about playing.

Yeah that’s poor driving against you there, you’re clearly faster and he is moving too many times on the line, under braking, well pulled off win I’d say, unfortunately these are the guys we race with and if this is at A+ then boy there’s no hope

Well my week is done with race C, I love the track and the combination of Gr.1 cars, and I knew from the beginning that not being as good I would be taking a DR drop from low B to mid C (and that's what happened) I still enjoyed my time.
I never qualified on this so I was happy to start from the rear as I saw in my first races in the B grouping that some less scrupulous B rated drivers were knocking each other off by nudging or pit maneuver actions (so as not to get a penalty) then they gained their ill-gotten victories as I just gained some positions by the victims off the sides, (and most regained their spots passing me later on in race)
All in all despite my poor driving at times I had a great time of this, wishing that PD will do more of these longer track races like LaSarthe too.

You are putting your narrative ahead of the reality,

You have no idea if this was the persons first or 10th race of the day.

DR and ranking are better the higher up you finish so positions are intrinsically tied to DR.

You can’t confuse poor decision making being driven by the weirdly opaque DR system we have (it’s understood just really not talked about)

I’m not sure we have got a base line of understanding, I’m saying the same as you just the focus is different. I think clean racing and finishing races trying to get as far forward is the aim, you are saying that you need to finish in the best place possible as cleanly as possible. These are the same thing. In both truths we would concede or dodge bad driving and those positions are 6th or 16th!

The only difference is I watch my other numbers (races, clean races, top 5 finishes) you are watching the bar that is focused on just bettering everyone else) both things are absolutely normal to focus on.

Edit:

I will say again, is even top lobbies (check the bloopers on Tidgneys videos) poor decision making. Now imagine this is our lower lobbies…decision making is mostly the answer compliance and awareness are the the other side of that.

I got one of the dumbest penality at the start of Race C. 8 sec pens for I don't know what for.

Check this out guys, last few laps chasing down an AS driver, this guy has been my nemesis all week, nicked it right at the end.

The race just prior to this one, me, him and the third placed guy had a great race, I lost the lead and the other guy won, so this was extra special

Well fought victory!

Where did you get the idea of your gear shifting? I know the car need to short shift but I use all gears and shift over the gear digit.

I'm a Group 1 but I identify has a Group B

I did a mega jump while off track with the Audi but I forgot to save the replay.

Ya, fair enough.
I more thought blocking certain people from your races like your own blacklist.
Is there? Maybe there is...I have to admit, I never bothered to check

Studying the the replays of the fastest drivers. I always check what they are doing and also @Tidgney race guide, always a massive help

I can just never carry as much speed in as they do 😁 but you can get some excellent tips 👍

Well actually for beginners and amateurs, it's best to find a ghost or replay close to their time, about a second maybe. Not 2-3 seconds. I never follow the aliens anymore because I know I'm not strong enough to beat their qualifying time. And that's the facts/truth. But I can't cope with a wheel right now, only with a controller. I'm afraid when I press on the pedals, I may put my leg at an angle that could give me a cramp/or numbness in my leg. That would not be good, so controller is my friend.

@Chris30

hello mate, hope you’re well. Watching any of them will help, I did notice they all doing different things, tidgney is doing it differently to some I am watching and it’s all a matter of trying different things and see what’s best, as I say I can’t carry the speed they do, so ill never be that good but the tips and tricks you get from them really help in my own level, race A this week has been amazing, just today still I managed to get time down to 1.00.309, and there was a bit left
