I did for a few months before getting a rig set up, it was fine and still a significant step up in enjoyment (/addiction). I certainly wouldn’t discourage anyone from getting vr if they can’t accommodate/afford a steering wheel set up.What i find myself asking is..
Does anyone drive in VR using a controller?
I've been full VR for a over a year now. We need a dashboard editor in the car like simdashboard. Unless we can see the cars around us we are lost. Be nice to have a dashboard where I can switch pages of different information. In all honesty, just do the CEs and licences again in VR it will change how you drive. Plus they are fun, bite sized and repeatable.
Nebuc can go between the cameras but I can’t so I just do everything in VR now, Norm does both I believe as well
I think the rest of the daily racers are bumper or hood cam (excluding childe but I don’t think anyone else is full VR on the thread?)
In the TT thread the top guys there and we are talking top 50 and top 10 are a mix of cams, I know Dan uses VR and I suspect another really fast person uses VR as well.
A+I have just started racing with real people today, I was only doing TTs and grinding against IA so far.
I have started 10 races (on pole), and won 8 of them, which is a big surprise, but I guess I'm not at my real rank (started rank E, rank C now).
I'm usually inside 1.5%-2% of the gold time in TTs, what do you think is my real rank?
I must say I was expecting dirtier racing.
Hmm so high? Damn pressure is on me until I get there then!
Normally I would have gone with C just because the length opens up some options.I never enjoy racing at Daytona.
You really need people around who understands how this race works or it becomes something very frustrating.
Im seeing (too much) people fighting for positions in the bus stop and dragging all along the banking zone until the 1st turn to make it 2wide instead of bump-drafting to keep the front pack pace.
Didnt experience carnage or dirty driving so far, just a total lack of common sense.
I have two options for the rest of the week.
Try to improve my time to team race with the front pack (Im actually world #830 wich is leaving me starting between P10 and P14 in A+ lobbies) or give up and move to Interlagos.
I hope, if confirmed, not that much. Yesterday I went down to '18.5 with an ideal of '18.2 (so the low '18 is really on target). If they really nerfed it significantly i'll go back to my lovely NSX regardless. Don't wont to spend time to learn an other meta (as always in the middle of the week). BTW, so far it doesn't look like the meta has changed, according the leaderboard.Did the GTR Gr4 get nerfed in the update? I'm nowhere near the top speed I had yesterday at Interlagos.
GT-R (and other cars) are all down 40-50hp. Hasn't been a leaderboard reset for some reason so won't look any different, but noone is beating their old times.I hope, if confirmed, not that much. Yes the Gr4 BoP has been updated and there's been a power nerfing, presumably to restore the performance gap vs Gr3 after that class got nerfed pre-GTWS. The cars are so slow now it's a bit pathetic. May have to go back to ACC for the proper experience.Did the GTR Gr4 get nerfed in the update? I'm nowhere near the top speed I had yesterday at Interlagos.
