In all honesty, just do the CEs and licences again in VR it will change how you drive. Plus they are fun, bite sized and repeatable.

Nebuc can go between the cameras but I can’t so I just do everything in VR now, Norm does both I believe as well

I think the rest of the daily racers are bumper or hood cam (excluding childe but I don’t think anyone else is full VR on the thread?)

In the TT thread the top guys there and we are talking top 50 and top 10 are a mix of cams, I know Dan uses VR and I suspect another really fast person uses VR as well.
I've been full VR for a over a year now. We need a dashboard editor in the car like simdashboard. Unless we can see the cars around us we are lost. Be nice to have a dashboard where I can switch pages of different information.

I have just started racing with real people today, I was only doing TTs and grinding against IA so far.

I have started 10 races (on pole), and won 8 of them, which is a big surprise, but I guess I'm not at my real rank (started rank E, rank C now).

I'm usually inside 1.5%-2% of the gold time in TTs, what do you think is my real rank?

I must say I was expecting dirtier racing.

A+

I wanted to do a quick race but on real time to warm up, so I jumped onto 2nd account, set a qualy time with 3 laps before the timer counted down and started P14 in a sea of GTRs 😅

Everything happened during the first 3 laps - took my opportunities when others made mistakes, slowed each other down or I just had a better exit off some corners and finish in a solid P8 with plenty of room behind me to take it easy on the final lap. Quite pleased with it 😎 Shame it almost never goes the same way on main account! 😂🤣

Two wins in three days is very rare for me, let alone a win in Group 3 (Fuji, on Sunday) - can’t remember my last group 3 win, it certainly wasn’t in DR B. Both wins were similar - starting on pole/second or third, dropping down to 5th or 6th, then an opportunistic dart through the melee that ensues ahead!

Normal service resumed at Daytona this week it would seem as I am well off the pace. Managed a 38.5 at Interlagos last thing yesterday so am hoping for some good results through the rest of the week. As ever it’s tempting to spam the group 4 race instead of working hard at the group 3 one…!

I do find the SR stuff really frustrating when the lobby stability is a bit ropey, your on the brakes turning in and all of a sudden a car teleports in front of you. No other incidents all race and lose SR for that

Edit: some of you will know I used to really struggle at inter with the road noise (FFB feedback) but that has changed over the year and this is a design of circuit I enjoy a lot.

Another good placing:

And a VR win in the manu cup but I can’t remember, might be bumper cam?

I never enjoy racing at Daytona.
You really need people around who understands how this race works or it becomes something very frustrating.

Im seeing (too much) people fighting for positions in the bus stop and dragging all along the banking zone until the 1st turn to make it 2wide instead of bump-drafting to keep the front pack pace.

Didnt experience carnage or dirty driving so far, just a total lack of common sense.

I have two options for the rest of the week.
Try to improve my time to team race with the front pack (Im actually world #830 wich is leaving me starting between P10 and P14 in A+ lobbies) or give up and move to Interlagos.

Normally I would have gone with C just because the length opens up some options.

I went Brazil and it’s been largely good, I can only speak for my lobbies they have been clean and fair at the sharp end, when I have started mid pack it’s more clumsy than dickish

That said I’m disproportionately QT time wise, reall fast of low A/high B lobbies but not fast enough in race so a lot of 3-6 finishes and 2 quits (from pole)

I tried Daily Race C again but with an uncoventional car, the Suburu WRX GR.3!!! The replay i could not save due to storage issues again!

Then i did a second race with the Ferarri and fairred a little better overall. BUt it was fun trying to chase Vipers with a anti-meta and leftfield car and see how I would get on.

Did the GTR Gr4 get nerfed in the update? I'm nowhere near the top speed I had yesterday at Interlagos.
I hope, if confirmed, not that much. Yesterday I went down to '18.5 with an ideal of '18.2 (so the low '18 is really on target). If they really nerfed it significantly i'll go back to my lovely NSX regardless. Don't wont to spend time to learn an other meta (as always in the middle of the week). BTW, so far it doesn't look like the meta has changed, according the leaderboard.

GT-R (and other cars) are all down 40-50hp. Hasn't been a leaderboard reset for some reason so won't look any different, but noone is beating their old times.

Yes the Gr4 BoP has been updated and there's been a power nerfing, presumably to restore the performance gap vs Gr3 after that class got nerfed pre-GTWS. The cars are so slow now it's a bit pathetic. May have to go back to ACC for the proper experience.

GT should just dump the whole BoP system. It doesn't work, none of the classes are balanced, there's always a meta. Just restore the power and weight to the real figures and so what if everyone ends up driving the same vehicle, at least the performance would be more realistic.

Everything definitely has less top speed, and feels like there's more grip?? It was nice to drive the 650 again, and I'm sure its capable of more. NSX and Scirocco seem to have good speed.

I wish they'd reset the leaderboard after an update though.
