Life and motivation have meant I haven’t done any mileage or races.

In all honesty I’m just really invested in the game or the races.

Just not inspiring for novelty or racing variety. I like and love one make races but bit at a class level

It’s getting a little processional out there I have to say,

Literally it’s a line of G70s which finishes in the same position they start in +/-

I’ve tons of things to do in the garden this weekend so I’ll be busy doing that and catching the odd race

Plus - there’s loads of football and F3/2/1 this weekend 😁

SR is nuts. Just did race A from the back to fix my SR ruined by race B. One small scrape to back corner and a single slam to pit wall due to the bumb throwing my car. Not a single touch to other cars. "Clean race" but red SR.. what. Two crashed and othervice 6 laps of clean race and SR is red. That is nuts.

Race B ruins my SR because i didnt do quali before bop update and now im with the divebombers. Pushed out = off track = SR penalty. Thats also big overlook.

yeah race B is bad for SR almost in A after 3 races on wednesday. Did 3 races this morning on Daytona Race C way more fun and clean no win so far but its fun mid pack racing .

have that weird feeling again with the rental car iam 5t/lap faster vs my redbull viper 🤔

Not bad racing this arvo to be fair,

Sneaked a win in front of P4 with the two ahead of me taking each other out on the first corner 🙄

Chased the leader down and it was very tense for a couple of laps until I guess behind him took his attention and I just eased away.

As I move closer to DR A I feel I belong there, maybe since the watering down of the levels, it’s probably right, but my idea now is to push on to DR A and try win a race there 🤞

Still a bit one makey at the moment but I like the one make which it is, the G70, you just know you’re going to beat the GTR and WRX which is in front of you

What is going on in race A?! A bug? Once again a clean race P8 so I didnt even stay at the back and still red SR AND red DR?! What is this? Does Sardegna count grass "off track" even though its not giving penalties as long as you stay inside the walls? That is the only thing I can think of..

Actually might be yeah. Thats how I ended-up in race A in the first place. Didnt know it carries over to next race. After all the years learning something new. Tells how rarely I quit or disconnect from a race..😅

It technically doesn't: it's more a sort of lag.

What happens is that your DR/SR change is not calculated until the race you were in reaches its actual finish - because DR is basically a straight exchange of points between all drivers, the points can't be assigned (even though you know exactly what you're losing to everyone else by not finishing) until the lobby end screen.

If you enter another race in the time between you leaving and the race you were in finishing, you start with the same DR/SR as you started the previous race, and when you finish that race your DR and SR for both races is updated at the end. Of course for Race A, usually, what your DR is doesn't matter for calculating what the exchange is because there's no DR updates.

Same, absolutely no enthusiasm to play the game anymore. I tried a few laps at interlargos yesterday in the NSX and mazda but it felt *****, turned it off and went to GTA instead. I tried 1 race last night at daytona at midnight, got sent into the barrier at the very first turn, stuck the race out to finish p10 and turned it off. I just have zero interest in this game now

no more interlagos for me race C is more fun but ......did not check the top time ghost in this race until this morning but this is 🤬🤣

I think it's the delay in applying the penalty. Normally it's about 2-3 seconds I believe. So you have the time it takes to get the penalty to cut the track so chances are it would work in a race as the penalty can't be applied once you've finished. May work at St Croix C but I can't remember how far the line is from the last corner as it has been so long since it appeared in a daily (Hint hint).

I do reckon, based on the kind of neglect the Gr. system gets offline and the direction Sport Mode had at launch (pretty much all pp tuned events) - that after flopping it for GT7 they've probably been working on a much better way to evaluate car performance, dropping BoP in favour of it for the next installment.

Hopefully, anyway.

It does seem like we're getting the bare minimum from them with the updates and game changes.

I was in a one-make lobby for these and they are so good for racing. Every race was close hard fought battle.

Yeah you really have had to put a decent time in by the update, usually my best times are coming around by Friday and Saturday but I was fortunate this week, my 1.38.9xx has served me well 👍

This is so true, typically I can manage something fairly early that is quite good for the week, but once I do some laps/racing/grinding I can typically improve (85% of the time) but race pace will never match the QT and in some of the lobbies I do QT pace is expected.

I hope there is a fun race or 3 next week!

It's a shame damages are not more realistic, this allows people to drive dirty and get away with it. This is the main point that separates GT7 from true simulators in my opinion.

PDI really really really have to address the issue of giving off track penalty to someone who was just rammed off the road. This happened SO many times in daily B I cant even count. And not some subtle side-by-side rubbing, but full out no-brakes-kamikaze-dive-bomb-executions by people who lose it when they get passed. People also clearly exploit this by pushing others out to give them penalties. And that 1sec penalty at gr4 Interlagos effectively loses you some 2.5 seconds..

To be fair, the didn’t always and I can remember getting tagged and going off and you were safe, super annoying that it’s happening now, especially if someone plays for it

Looks like the future of Gr4 is going to be "DTM style" races. If some don't care too much about lil contact, it can be fun. In my last race, Friday, I was in a mixed A+/A lobby starting 11th. The race was clean (only one dumb idiot there, side-pushing everybody to pass) and I ended up 10th with a big smile on my face.
A big credit to @Barney Da Dog (also victim of the mentioned idiot), alone with his Ferrari against an horde of AWD. Strange thing, I got DR and SR increased even if finishing 10th. Was good to see, but I don't understand how this is possible.

Let's hope for some good combo for this week.

If you came 10th and the drivers you beat were all A+ and you got beaten by all A drivers, your DR will probably go up if you are an A or lower.

You'll get a DR up if there's a lot of high A+ drivers finishing near or behind you. I got a DR increase in 11th in a couple of races 👍

I gave up on the Ferrari and 650 eventually - just couldn't stay close once everyone was dialled in to the G70. I did have a few good clean races yesterday, but people making very few mistakes and very little chance of pulling off a clean overtake.

Same as ever - shifter karts at Kyoto, Gr3 at Maggiore Full Reverse, Gr4 at Red Bull Ring (that’ll be hilariously slow with the new BoP).

Yep. I've even managed a DR increase when I've finished last in a lobby full of A and high B (I'm a low B driver) after a few drivers DNF.
