Think I’m getting dialled into race A now, got my time down to 1.38.587 which was enough to put me a thousandth ahead on the grid of a Portuguese chap who beat me the race before,

Held off for the win,

Really skilled week it’s turning out to be when full concentration is needed and the slightest lapse will be punished

After a bit of a break I decided to finally try dailies again. Stuck with Suzuka and also stuck with the GTR as I find it the best all round on tyres. Couple of attempts but I got a win in the end

Edit:
3 wins in a row...it's a bit rough today but starting on pole is definitely helping 👌

I ended up in this lobby. I decided to just do what I could to survive 🤣🤣. To say it was brutal would be an understatement 🙈
I started well and made it up to P4 cleanly at the end of lap 1 and it must have triggered some people...I was then unceremoniously punted off at turn 1, absolutely intentionally and for no good reason (i recorded the whole race). I recovered back in 12th and drove my way into 8th at the end. Got a good DR boost but it still p*sses me off that these higher ranked races are so dirty. I am now done again for the week. Been doing private lobby races mostly this week and it has been fantastic 👌

@bone_tone great time in race A, I saw you just nicked my 1.38.4xx so I was improving myself just to see you had a 1.38.1xx 😳

I just picked up a win from an AS driver chasing me down and luckily he hit a wall on the last lap and the pressure eased 😁

Not sure what’s going on with me today, I’ve lost from starting in pole 3 times, must have some gt fatigue 🤣

Hopefully I’m back in the game

I just looked before I saw this, man that’s amazing

How the actual f….. 😁

Bravo bro
Thought I'd better take a photo - first time for me to be at the top! Don't suppose I'll be there for long.

Apparently the gearing is the key to fast times here. Met a guy in races this afternoon who recognised me from GTP, and he had a 1.36.xxx time - when questioned by others as to how he achieved it, he just posted 'gears 180'.

I set my gearbox with a max speed of 180, voila 1 second off my QT!

Not sure what your GTP ID is mate, but thanks for the tip 😉

And thank you for the tip mate

It’s been rubbish since that win earlier, dirty as hell 🤣😁

I must try again 🙈 I didn't try since Wednesday so I will revisit and see can I get into the 36's. My gearing is set for 190 and it is bogging down so will give it a shot

For any madlad that wants to try out my tune.
Note: I only messed around in time trial, so you'll need to adjust the first 3 gears if you plan on racing with it.

From GT Auto:
  • Custom wheels - Standard 12" wheels, no wide width, no wide offset
  • Front Bumper A or B
  • Any side skirt
  • Any Rear "bumper"
  • Wingless

Note about the tuning shop:
You need Ultimate Category unlocked to purchase Carbon Propeller Shaft, High Lift Camshaft S, Stroke Up S.
DO NOT BUY THE TITANIUM RODS AND PISTONS.

This tune turns the Carry into a cute kei demon spawn. :scared: I highly suggest being on the controller for this build, as it's even more of a handful to drive on the wheel... Video

I watched your YouTube video and you are not wrong, this is one beast of a tune, literally which will kill you on any bend it feels like 🤣

Did massively improve my time so thanks for this and I remember the tune for the Mini Cooper tuned race back when gt7 came out which was yours and gave me untold wins 😁

Anything to do about that stepping out? I don’t need a 1.34 but I would like to race this but I understand you need the rotation

Thanks again 👊

The demon spawn and I thank you for giving the tune a try!

For that stepping-out shenanigans, you could try lowering the acceleration sensitivity. For a while, I had it anywhere from 8 to 15.

So it’s been a frustrating weekend really, Saturday I was very tired, couldn’t get my mojo on, didn’t do much racing,

Today, few wins this morning but I have quit so many races this weekend it’s insane, either from me sliding off at willow, that mistaMca tune just killing me or people in general being absolute you knows! I’ll actually be glad to see the back of this week and wonder what next week will bring, the race A trial mountain better be fun because the gr3 Tokyo I won’t even be touching!

Highlight of my weekend is racing @bone_tone really that was the most fun I’ve had and mate, I was thinking you had that one for most of the race, bravo dude, just one move that I had to force through cleanly and it stuck! Next race it all went south again lol

I could see you were faster than me - didn't want to slow us both down!

You missed a cracker in the next one - I finished 4th, 2 seconds behind P1. Just managed to hang onto the back of the 3 in front as they battled (been racing them all afternoon, apart from the first race where you and I were together), and got fastest lap as a result of being so close to them.

One more, then I've got to have a lie down! 😂

Edit: next race, the 3 in front went away together, then the guy in P3 went off. The other 2 disappeared into the distance, fastest lap was 2 seconds faster than I could manage!

Managed to squeeze in the last race and won it, was a very close race but I managed to keep p2 sec behind for the whole race,

Race A this week looks like a lot of fun, 3 laps and hope it stays clean

Attached races for the week

Enjoy guys

Edit race a is in an ‘84 Corolla 😁

Looking forward to this week's races. B looks like a wall crash fest.
Just in the last hairpin, at the front is pretty clean.

By the PD!!! the prizes should be always like this, I finished 3rd and it was 137.000 Cr. that´s more like the economy of the game.

At least when you spend 1 hour with an 8 minute race and 10 minutes rest it´s aprox 685.000 cr an hour of playing, at least people could buy more cars and parts.

This make me think!

If we have to pay 20 mill for exclusive cars like irl, or we need and invite to buy a specific car like irl, and we have dealerships that rotates and the prices fluctuate like irl, I just don´t see Lewis Hamilton or any other drive for that matter earning 10.000 pounds a race.

God help us all, @TechnoIsLove has got himself a loadcell 🤣
Won't lie - it is not easy to forget what you've learned about braking in GT7 over the past 3.5 years and teach yourself new ways of going about things! However, I can already feel that some things are changing in the way I drive. It's overcoming your own mental blocks of thinking "I need to brake NOW as I will not make the corner" when with the load cell, you can brake that little bit later, trail-brake that little bit smoother and exit corners (since car is more stable under braking) that little bit faster 🤯 😅

But I am getting there - Saturday evening at Suzuka managed to beat my PB within 8 laps of switching to the load cell, but had no time to practice yesterday as I pulled a back muscle early in the morning and it is only now that I can actually handle the steering force. And the bucket seat actually helps with posture so I think it is called "medical driving" in my case today 🤣

Still loads to learn and even tweak in the BRF settings and in-game pedal settings but actually @newmedia_dev gave me a useful tip yesterday (now that's a first! 🤣 ) and been trying it out today with some decent results.. It's all about building muscle memory again with new approach to driving but overall, very happy!

Set a 2:00:1 just now around Grand Valley for Race C driving the NSX for 4 laps, so optimistic about getting fully to grips with load cell in the coming days 😊 Good luck this week everyone, especially if you're mental enough to try Tokyo! 🤪

** Update **

Make that a 1:59:6 after 11 laps and could have gone faster but made some mistakes lol. Time for meetings now so have to try again later.... 🙄

Got that one out of the way, a win at trial mountain. My first this morning whilst the plumber was at my house, was again an A+ driver, I was p2 he was on pole, naturally I wasn’t racing him. At lunch today, against my own level DRB my 2.32.4xx was pole and the few behind me just disappeared, although one fella made me sweat a little.

@NevilleNobody race A is decent mate, the braking points are the same, granted it is slower but when bunched up with clean drivers it’s a hoot, it won’t last the week I have to say so I’m going to try some B and do that TT too, if only for some cash, @LANDO that economy seems good 😁

@TechnoIsLove I have a LC and currently learning some things Kireth is trying to charge for, braking, coasting, accelerating etc, enjoy it mate, I’m sure that’s put you a little further up 😉

While I'm certainly not arguing against getting tracks, I think the current Daily malaise is more the fact that it's just been the same thing on repeat for so long - even by the standards of Sport Mode, the last year or so has been extremely rote.

In the last eleven months, there have been 2 race Cs and 0 race Bs not in Gr.1-4 (one in the X2019, one in the RA272). They've used weather twice in that span, and they've done longer races twice in that span (unsurprisingly, the weather and longer distance were the same two races). And obviously they never use the smaller tracks or rally tracks that aren't built for the cars they run. They've even stopped doing fuel races or ever allowing suspension tuning as far as I can recall.

Even if you're someone really into GT3 racing, basically a full year of "here's one 18 minute race and one 8 minute race, in the same cars with the same setups on the same 15-20 tracks with one of two strategies depending on whether the tyre multiplier is high enough" is going to get, and has gotten, old.

I'm personally not a fan of rallying or suspension changes but I hear ya. I just find there's too many gimmicky tracks, there's not enough straight forward, straight up regular race tracks. St Croix and Lemans and Nord are way too long, Tokyo is a wall fuelled crash fest, grand valley and Alsace are really odd to say the least .... i like proper racing circuits. NGP, Bathurst, Barcelona, Seaside, Trial Mountain ..... etc etc.
