Gonna try my luck at another race now but will stick to the G70 as feeling good after a few minor wheel adjustments to Friction and FEI šŸ˜Š

My racing was ruined last night by incessant lagging. Slightly OT but does anyone know why I have a consistent 3 to 4 bars in the game, my speed test on the PS5 says 70mbps and yet I am getting terrible, terrible lag with the other cars zipping and zooping all over the place?

Is it a ping issue?

Weird side-note, have any of you had a car disappear out of your garage for no apparent reason? Was going to throw the Beetle at Barcelona for fun, and because I like the livery I made, and it was nowhere to be found. Gone. Bought another one and was able to re-apply the livery from GTSport so nothing lost, just odd. Well, I guess I was out $450K but whatever.

The only things I can think are:

1. It was a GTWS manufacture car, so you lose them at the end of the season?

2. Accidentally sold it?

3. Just couldnā€™t see it for looking :)

When you bought the replacement was the little book grey or blue before buying it?

Also you can go to the car valuation bit in the used car dealer and sort by the number you own might be worth a try?

I think the overall connection suffers when an update is due as there is less servers, more players and lots of files moving around being deployed ready for it etc.

Just finished the most intense race I have ever driven on GT7 - and that's saying something! Started in P2 and literally from the very first corner until the finish line, which I crossed in P1 ( šŸ˜Ž šŸ„³ šŸ˜Ž ) there was never more than 0.8s between myself and whoever else was around! The slipstream is so overpowered this week at Watkins!

P2 start and exchanging positions for most of the race, some great racing with the "MDT Lulu" driver and it was all about keeping my cool and thinking ahead. How to defend next corner, how to position myself for an overtake, how to have the best exit, etc... I won by 0.2s from P3 - that is how close it was between us! So, so happy, especially after what was done to me during yesterday's race! šŸ„³

I think I may be done for the week in Barcelona, it was overall a very competitive week and I am back on the cusp of DR-A. Too much contact for my liking but it is what it is, 3 wins was good and some good racing overall, really surprised no one else I can across got the beetle to work for them, my race pace was very, very competitive.

Haven't actually done a race in Barca this week. Is it that bad? Always assumed Gr3 racing is less dirty than Gr4 since crappy drivers get found out/ gapped easier on faster races! Happy to be informed and corrected!

I wanted it to work for me but have you tried it in VR or Cockpit cam, itā€™s a little trippy the gauges are not ideal.

B is just not something I can get consistently to the pace I need, time this week has ment no racing and just laps here and there.

There's two issues, lots of folks with the usual cultural difference on the issue of "take the inside at all costs and use the side of the other guys car to make the corner" racing, then there's the guys who are sorta trying to be clean but don't allow for earlier braking if in the tow or if they come across a pack of cars. If you got the right room the racing was excellent.

On the Beetle, I must confess I race at TC2. I realise TC1 or 0 is faster but there's two corners where the car is extremely tough to tame vs the MR Lambo which can get on the gas far earlier with TC1 or 0. I was able to relentlessly circulate in the low to mid 42's, but also I gained a spot into the first corner on lap 1 like 90% of the time and in general the car is very, very good in traffic as it can keep a tight line very well. But yeah TC0 is sketchy.

Ran some laps at WG last night I discovered y'all weren't lyin'...the NSX is flyin'. Never drove the car much so had no idea what I was getting into but was within a tenth of my G70 time on the first lap. Since the G70 feels more like 'work' than 'entertainment' to drive, I'm sticking with it. To me, the NSX likes to dance while the G70 just wants to stomp through to the next turn.šŸ‘

I can't, also because @TechnoIsLove did that lil improvement that made me think it was time to put all together from t1 to t4 at once.šŸ¤£ Now on +3 bb. I admit I'm near my limit, maybe still 2 tenths are to be found, but I'm already happy to race with the actual QT.

That is an INSANE time mate - very VERY well done! Also, don't laugh, but since the Gr3 and Gr4 update, I found that MR cars actually handle and corner better in 2 or 3 front bias BB! I am not kidding, give it a go, once you are able to let go of the brakes so the front tires can rotate in tight corners, you will find that you will be able to brake later and more in control!

Do a few laps, say 10 minutes, and let me know! I am not joking!

Thanks m8, I just hope it could be enough to be up there with frontrunners at the start. Actually I'm already at +3 bb. I started with +1, then +2 from this morning. Eventually, with +3, I found consistency in t1 and t2. Finally I regularly clip all 4 kerbs at Bus Stop. Before (when using +1) I was always a lil wide, missing the 3rd one whilst understeering from 2nd.
 
Didn't improve on my Race C's 1:56.956 QT in the NSX Gr.4.

Race 1: Started P14. Got thrown into a fast room. Finished P13.

Race 2: Started P7. Eating a penalty at Turn 1 on Lap 8 cost me the slipstream, and lost me a position that I had gained. Finished P7.

Race 3: Started P8. Kept screwing up the bus stop chicane. Finished P7.

Race 4: Started P10. A sloppy Brazilian G70 compromised the races of everyone in the mid pack. Finished P10.

Race 5: Started P4. Made way too many errors. Finished P9.

More fruitful than yesterday, but not great. Maybe tomorrow!
