I hope you and your family had a safe 4th of July holiday. How have you been handling the racing this week? Spa is a fun track to do with the Group 3 cars, it was for me back in 2024. It's trickier when it's raining because you have to use caution and brake even earlier otherwise you'll spin out on wet corners and turns. Take it easy during those tough lobbies.

Didn't have much time this week but the little I did, was quite frustrated to not being able to get a time to even come close to top 500 at Suzuka, even though I love the track and car combo! Had a session were I could have done a 2:01:8xx quite a few times but something always happened lol.

At least got to knock @newmedia_dev off his perch late last night, so had a good sleep after 🤣

Been racing on A all week, been much more fun than sweaty spa 😁

I don't play in Sport Mode, but even so, I am having so much fun just watching videos of this week's Daily Race C! I want to show my appreciation for this race in case someone at Polyphony Digital is reading this.

This race is such a creative combo that lets production cars in the game shine, and randomised weather is so good to have as well. Thank you for creating this race, and I hope we get to see more races in the same vein as this more often!

So I should have been alll over race c this week, strong QT ok in the wet and VR plays to helping with both the driving and strat but I shied away from it, did loads of A but it’s absolutely killed my DR and SR, I’ve done 3 spa races and it’s taken me a long time to find a rhythm and pace there.

For my overall driving ability and pace I thought this would be a good week, but the reality is very very different.

On reflection I think most of it for daily A is that in VR the mirrors artificially make people look closer than they are so I drive more conservatively or worried than I normally would.

Just an odd week for me, it’s gonna be a long road to recovery sadly 😞 but you are on freaking fire with it mate 🔥
 
Finding harder than expected to get below the 2:20 barrier at Spa. The way I can suck at Bus stop is embarrassing to the point that I can waist 4 tenths margin on my PB there. At least I took the time to put a new livery on the 650s. Usually, with the car wearing my design, I somehow start to go significantly faster. 😉

It’s just such decent track to race, my lobbies are packed with A/A+ so no wins but the track is just so rewarding to race at, lots of side by side clean racing this week for me 😁
 


Was a bit bummed out by this race originally. Managed to get through some first lap hilarity again and was going for a podium before getting dropped to fourth. Then I discovered the three in front of me were A rated drivers and I had beaten at least four other As. Was actually quite chuffed afterwards.

Still can't work out why I'm so slow sometimes though, I know I'm bad at the hairpin but some people overtake me as if I'm standing still. Hey ho.
 
We’ll get me this week, making it up to DR A!!! Let’s see how long I can stay there, fingers crossed for a track next week I can compete in.

Edit. I think it only lasted one race 🤣 all my races have been awesome this week at A apart from this one, 2 squabbling guys ruin it for everyone I get 3 sec penalty for seemingly nothing and I came in last 😂

Had a Great daily dose of racing today, well Sunday Lobby Race in sport mode with friends on SPA. I was the Porsche 911 RSR and tasted victory on my first race and my last race I came in 3rd place, was well chuffed! I feel very strong at SPA now, and have been improving and Gr.3 cars are getting better for me overall!

Hats off to the person/persons involved setting up the JGTC (I believe), at Suzuka.
One of the best racing settings so far, it even has rain sometimes. Thumbs up.

When possible it would be nice as well, having the DTM or ITCC, Mercedes - Alfa - Sierra - BMW

This game has so many possibilities.


  • Unfortunately, some GT4 races are still a joke.
  • Unfortunately, there are races that we still have to pit for nothing, and we have only a set of tires, usually hard ones.
  • Hard tires for races with only 4 or 5 laps is a bit of nonsense.
  • Penalize, even harder, the quitters from racing. It is being worse. Only shows lack of fair play, respect and bad losing.
Many of the players, spin out=quit. Lose a top 5 finish=quit. Are in last place=quit.
- What are GT4 BMW M4, GT4 Suzuki Swift, GT3 Suzuki, GT3 Volkswagen VGT, LMP1 Nissan doing in game?
Nobody pick them, because they have no performance to match with the others.
As an example, every time I pick the GT4 M4, the top speed is at least 10 KM/6 miles slower on straights.
- Another subject regarding quitters. Why they keep the fastest lap of the race after quit?
If we quit a week challenge or race, we lose the kilometers/mileage we have done.
- it would be useful if the game could detect an idle pit stop. Some players with bad losing just park in the pits until
the finish and the rest of drivers have to wait, sometimes 1 mnt, until the countdown reach 00:00.
- I keep wishing in having a room with random attribution a kind of roulette of the car to each player, to avoid those that only
play after watching the world's top 10 fastest car.
As for me, I see what is the fastest car, to qualify and race with all except that one. But that's me.
- let me play with my liveries, please. I remember about the Abarth A112, I have 10 skins and could not use them.
Most of the skins were 90% made by me, because of lack of stickers online. Much grateful work without using.

- The report feature lacks some subject like dirty behavior and doesn't work properly.

- Why the hypocrisy of getting so many warnings, because I call a dirty clown to a dirty clown.
Bozo to a bozo. Bad loser to a bad loser. Idiot to an idiot. Stupid to a stupid. Low IQ to a low IQ.
Etc... Not so harsh words, IMHO.

Kids have access every day TV and Internet, where they watch and hear much much much much much worst,
from words, violence, war, movies with no words filters.
Therefore, I feel that the Sony filter is exaggerated. Again, MHO.


So, let me finish saying thank you to PD, for trying to keep things attractive and running well, despite some little
things to improve.

I'll echo what most here seem to be saying, the JGTC race was a real breath of fresh air, lovely creative car selection, really nice to see underused features like the rain being used in these races and the tweak they did to the rules to make a pitstop mandatory finished it off nicely. As ever here are my highlights:

Obviously they can crib from the DTM Special Event as well. But beyond that I mean.

They don’t need to do these crazy events, how about some Gr4 with weather, how about civics at brands Indy

They don’t have to go crazy just mix it up, reluctance for weather in Gr4, ok but whack two compound in on something.

The creativity always falls to the long races or daily A races and while this have mixed it all up putting spa gr3 4 laps in the middle is a bit 🤷‍♂️

Well I’d take more of this weeks race A, touring cars at lower levels, loads of options out there, I’d be sorry to see Race A go, hope you’ve all had a good fun racing week, I’ll get a few more in tomorrow before 6am 😉

I got on that train a bit too late this week! I muddled through mostly but clearly there's nuance to the combo, which I was having trouble picking up.

Great fun, every time, despite others attempts at ruining it. Great to see you out there!
 
Last place I went ended-up being darn near the only place I went, lol.

Didn't wanna, but dipped into Spa for a bit and it wasn't as bad as feared. Decided to stick around because I love the place and the cars. Luckily had some great racing over the last couple of days and finally hit 1000 races, too:

This one was a heartbreaker...first and only pole position thrown away in the first brake zone on the first lap. Got absolutely consumed by the pack before it all ended in a pretty spectacular crash, and that was before we even finished lap 1. Some great driving from all involved, even with the ping-pong incident. Was able to make it back to P6 from P15. 👍

At last... Not proud of myself btw, considering that I could go 1/2 sec faster and I didn't :banghead:. Too much Gr4 made me inconsistent. That was the case at least till yesterday, when it was already too late to jump in race. Next time I'll put my livery before in the week to be faster since the beginning. :D
Hoping for some "Monza Gr3" this week, crossing fingers (Sardegna could be good also). Have a nice one.

After a few last fun races tonight on Daily C, I think we're really going to miss that combo. Sure the rain could roll in like a hurricane and send a car with wets hydroplaning off a straight now and then, but the racing was really outstanding with the car choices. For me, this is the first week i've been able to appreciate such different driving cars as viable options for the race. I know they will continue to focus on Gr3/4, and it will be back to the same usual metas, but this was the kind of racing GT should be about. BOP heavy esport races has a place, and I support and play that, but there's a ton more cars in the garage that could make future versions of this race really special.

Compliments to PD on this week, and hopefully those still to come.

DR and SR is on for all of them again as well and all race hards

A: Delta S2 at Sardegna - B
B: Bathurst - gr4
C: Deep forest reverse gr3 - 1 pit stop
