Low 1.56’s are quite doable in the supra 1.55’s are there if you are really really on int

I’ve only done 10-12 laps between Monday at LM so there is definitely a lot of time on the table.

That said I haven’t done a race yet on one at the back at Daytona.

I see the Huracan is topping the times now, and it seems they may do better in the twisty bits? I'll give it a go after work. I'd need half a second to be on the first row 😮, and I can't see where I'd find that much

Yep, the Lambo works. It's marginally slower at top end, but for the rest it is way more "sincere". No more heartbreaking at last corner.🤣
I stand corrected, now the mid '54 looks less like an unbreakable barrier.

I just got in to the 54.6's - then joined a race and took YT_Stampie out of the lead at T1😭 I quit in shame.. I blame my birthday wine intake - drink driving is bad.

Which reminds of a moment in primary school, 1979 .. we had had to draw a picture of what had happened at the weekend. I drew a car on it's side, with a man standing on top - and underneath I'd written "my daddy crashed his car when he was drunk"

1979 was also the year of the big snow - school had closed early, and I was left feeling jealous as I got run home in a Land Rover, but the kids from 'below the hill' got run home in a helicopter. Pfft.


Right, back to the wine...🍷

I did 4 race As. I might have to stop if want to preserve my rating (or just not worry about it). Each race is a point loss so far.

The first two I suffered from not adjusting my braking for the slip stream going into the bus stop. The third was hitting the inside wall T1 on lap 3.

The last was a good one. Started 7, got up to 2nd with lots of position changes and ended up 6th. Still a DR loss though.

Solid night in Race B, pretty decent behavior in high B/low A rooms for the most part. Lots of top 5 finishes but no wins, pace is really quite hot and it is tight so difficult to pass. The variety of cars is quite good, seems at least 4 or 5 legit options though again as per Barcelona, no one using the Beetle which is surprising.

Decided to dust off the Lambo's rims this afternoon and I don't know why I stuck with the G70 for 4 days with the understeer issues at Autopolis...

Need to be more consistent but always having optimals in the 1:54:6xx is encouraging for the 4 sessions of about 3 - 4 laps each, with the first 6 ~ 7 laps being about homing in the wheel settings. Getting there 🙃

Also did my first race and totally forgot it was a standing start! 🫣 Managed to slam on the brakes right before the countdown ended but had no TC and a crappy launch so down I went from P9 to P12 in the first 3 seconds of the race 🤣😵 Managed to get back to P9 by lap 3 but was slammed from the side by someone who literally pushed-to-pass everyone in his was! Into the gravel I also went and down to plum last! At least he eventually got a 2sec pen lol.

Pitted on that lap and managed to finish in P11 behind the dirty donkey - stuck behind him for final 3 laps as every time I go for a move, he either tries to swipe me again or brake check me right before the turn...

Race A is where I'm at this week. Unfortunately, I've had to ditch any ideas of progressing my rating and have just been enjoying the combo.

I definitely have the race pace and cleanliness to work my way up the pack, but just can't seem to avoid getting rear-ended (even a reasonable, recuperable ding gives aero damage and huge time loss) and losing touch with whatever pack i happen to be keeping up with (sometimes 5th/6th but usually the back of the grid).

But.....I have managed to recover my whole SR bar, so every cloud.

Mighty quick! It's good in the race but slow off the start line, but feels more consistent over the whole race. The G70 (in my hands at least) suffers with tyres the last couple of laps

Wow it's that bad on tires?! I had mine at -1 front (usually drive -2 in time trial) and had at least 90% of tire life left by the end of the race! And this included the spins and gravel tour when I was hit! I might even stay at -2 now in the next one!

Did another short session just now but taking a long break as wrist is starting to swell again. But at least I know I figured things out because I could have gone even faster now and was very consistent.

It's not that they're worn much but just feel much more understeery to me in the end of the race
 
It’s a shame @TechnoIsLove isn’t racing this week and has hurt his wrist somehow…..✊

That is really weird... The time you hid seemed to show a 1:54:538 on your leaderboard but I logged into mine and it shows to be a little quicker... 🤔🫤

After the 1st day on the Lambo, yesterday was time to check differents bb setting (between 0 and +5) and build some race pace. No big improvements QT wise, but I've broken ideally the '54.5 barrier with both; +1 and +4. 🤔
With +1 I was btw more consistent, lapping always below the '55 on a series of 11-12 laps. I'll try the "negative" side -1 to -5 bb briefly to nyt, just to check. Then it's just racing.
Hear infection is totally healed (no more deejay on console mode), so the weekend looks promising. Wishing everybody a blasting weekend of racing.

@TechnoIsLove , Hat off (considering your injury), thanks to my best ideal "our" ant is always more frustrated, her bottom really is in pain rigth now.🤣

Thank you - also, try -2 BB on Lambo, makes it more stable and sharper around the bends 😉

Just encountered someone who was literally immovable, ran me off the road and I could not force them to change their line at all when bumping and attempting to punt them. Has anyone encountered this before?

It might be latency or Strong CSA and ASM along with High TC.

The other option is that they were in Autodrive (paused) which is just as likely as the other reasons I mention above

That's me sometimes. When we have races where T1 is a punt fiesta, i put tcm (traction control) to 4or 5 just for t1 and you can't spin me, you rather spin yourself, at the attempt. Kinda sad, that i had to learn this.

Wow man, you're on fire!! How many laps did it take for you to pull the magic lap out of the bag? And you're in the top 150 drivers. Wow, I'm amazed and shocked. I'm sure many weren't expecting that.

From switching to the Huracan and tweaking the wheel just a bit, around 8 laps to lose 0.5s
