This week at Glen I was only looking for assessing my improvements after almost one year of Dailies. As mentioned, at that time I was still on joypad when I visited Glen.
WR was 1:19.981, my QT was 1:22.395, gap was 2.414 (+3.02%).
Nowadays WR is 1:19.604, my QT is 1:20.313, gap is 0.709 (+0.89%).
Unfortunately I wasn't able to confirm my ideal of '20.1, but I'm ok with it (euphemistically speaking, cause I just shut down after a '20.215 riuned by an "inexistant" penalty at before last corner given only when I was almost passing the line 🤬) I therefore wanna thank everyone in this community, since my improvements are also your merit, sincerely.
After last exhausting weekend at Autopolis I felt that I needed a pause from racing, so I managed to complete some licences and missions left aside. Curious to see what PD will deliver for next week. By logic (if ever there's one) Race B should be back for Gr3 and Race C for Gr4. Sardegna full layout would be lovely on Gr4.

Edit: In Gr3 Sardegna is even better.

F'ing annoying gits, I've got my new laptop all set up ready to spend the week exploring Dirt Rally 2, WRC, Assetto Corsa Competizione and iRacing. And they give us the best set of dailys in ages. At least if I'm going out, I'm going out in style with a recorded top 10 time lap.

And I think it boils down to 4 things.

1: the meta largely the most fastest car for a combo, not the best car but the one that’s easy to co fast consistently

2: What the top guys set times in, typically these are the fastest cars because they know pretty quickly, little bit of competitiveness comes in as well

3: Cyrus does some excellent anti, sub meta car laps and races so it’s not impossible, they do exist but less so in GR4

4: the metas are usually the easiest to drive (although the BRZ at Laguna securely wasn’t)

Personally I have 6k races online and have a strong feel for cars early on what’s gonna be quick, but lobbies differ and well no races are the same but ultimately you are better off keeping up than being a martyr. It gives you consistency with your peers and you can actually practice racing, lines and traffic etc.

Thank you,
I gonna read all new messages first.
But i think that's reasonable enough. I wondered , if sony/pd gets sponsored and makes a car a bit better, but this could cause a scandal.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races: Speed Demons

There’s a welcome return for a 260mph chess game in the new Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, available from this morning, as there’s a bit of a shake-up in the events and regulations following on from some recent flashes of variety in this multiplayer race mode...

7th gear is youre friend in this 1

hmm what wing conf ??? 😅 TC1 for the start ABS on weak and thats al you need. 😋
It seems quite tricky to set a really good time, as you said 7th gear, but it sometimes hits the limiter in 7th and suddenly drops a few mph. You can't just stick it in 8th all the way, as that has a slower top speed. The best trick I could find was, once it's hit 415/416 give a tiny little lift to stop it hitting the limiter. Plus a brief switch to 8th for the downhill section over the bridge.

did it on lap 6 tires soft are half gone you don't wanna end up in traffic so def not before midway if youre in front

edit recap

Ive experienced some sort of anxiety watching you at the pits :nervous:
I was like "come on dude, press that dont refuel button" and to my surprise you made an unnecesary fuel splash and managed to win in spite of the lost seconds there

After 2 weeks away from sport mode Im coming back to what it seems an excelent week.

id downhill if you shift to 8th on 415 and drop back when you slow down still in 8th until 416/17 back to 7th if you do it just in time you slow only down to 414 and with the liimit tab the brake tiny bit 3sec after 416 so you go back to 415 its tricky 1

Ah thank you I was coming here to see if anyone else had that trouble.

was the first race and i was not sure about the tires @first and lost my attention a bit 🤣

Also been a while since I did the meme race but I take it there's no boost anymore?
Unlike previous versions of this event, there’s no nitrous in this race either so it’s just raw power and slipstream. Without that balancing factor, it has become a bit of a one-make though, with the 992 dominating the qualifying leaderboards and forming most of any given grid too.

Thank you very much for the reply. It helped a newbie. Regarding the wing, it would be the aerodynamics, which requires the ability to adjust. If you have any tips on that, I'd appreciate it too. Have a blessed week. Hugs
You cant tune the aero for this race. Every tune that you make on the garage is overridden by the BOP.

Yes, you can.

That's why this, like the nitrous note above, is in the article I wrote this morning.

We do have a further twist in this race, as there is a vehicle setting available to you that wouldn’t ordinarily appear. You can, and probably should given Monza’s high-speed nature, adjust the car’s downforce — though be aware that you can’t save your race setting so will need to do it in the sub-minute warm-up period each and every time.

‘Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in’!

Let us know how you like the move to PC. Been thinking of doing the same (already do ACC on console with Sim Grid).

Oh tough call this week, I am half decent with the F3500 at Monza, we had a TT there no? But leaning slightly to Race B as I love the track and am yet to tackle it with a wheel so look forward to going through that awkward left (3 corners from the end, sorta blind apex) without the difficulty of dealing with the dpad.
