What a difference a week makes! Sweated hard to get a QT at Sardegna within 3 seconds of the fastest time. And when I did I was ~13,000th in the world, lol, and starting back half of the grid (but having fun!).

This week I did five qualifying laps last night and got a time within 1.8 seconds of the fastest time (currently #3832), which puts me at the sharp end of B/S grids. Got a couple of podiums today. But man is this track treacherous. Last race was P4 and P3 and P2 just disappeared into the desert!

@Childe Roland - glad you liked the Shelby video! One of my favourites from a golden era in motorsport!
 
So today I gave Daily Race C a shot, I dont fancy BiG willow as it is defo a very wierd track. It such a short speedy rack more like a wonky high speed ring in the desert. No barriers so you bound to get pushed off track once a while. My race was pure carnage bumping, rubbing and gravel pit dooms everywhere.

Managed to finish 8th overall and my pace it the BRZ is not bad.

Done for the week, nothing is feeling right. Just can't find the right car, just put 3 hours, of practice, and I'm tracking 12.8 just can't break the hump!

What non meta cars are you guys using with bb numbers? Please and thank you
 
I did a few more races yesterday and picked up a win on B, but only because P1 and P2 took themselves off - amazingly I was only 1 of 2 G70s!
One race was won by a Vantage, starting from pole, and the same guy would have won in the AMG but got punted off.

Race C I managed to keep the BRZ out of the sand for a whole race and came home a close 2nd place. I tried the 458 but it just loses out so much in the last turn, and the gearing is probably not the best for the twisty bits.
Might try the Corvette later...

Genesis X bb +3. I was faster in the audi r8evo but lost it in the last corner. Maybe you are tired, just try again tomorrow.

I assume it’s AI, your right, he’s extremely repetitive but I don’t think I could listen to the monotone voice for :30 minutes

I thought most races would be crazier in the evening when people are drunk and full of hyper. Of course the lower lobbies would be more decent and calmer. Just the usual lingo and routine in sport mode racing.

Well I didn't stand much chance of making much progress here 😮 P1 is current fastest in the world, and the rest not far behind. I think I will need to practice with the WRX and try to improve my qualifying time..View attachment 1470858

That’s literally the top split in EMEA 😲 this week!

Just needed stokie Ben in there!

I don’t know if it’s physics changes, lower power or just 3 years of practice but everyone’s consistency in this race is crazy, in the previous version of it you’d see a lot more people dying at paddock hill or graham hill, this time round it’s basically just 10 really really fast formation laps!

Yeah there was no overtaking - I only gained a place as OnlyMands braked and let me past at the finish.
There's definitely less crashing - it would really need a mandatory pitstop to spice it up a bit ( I think they did that previously 🤔) as everyone here was on the limit but with no dirty racing.

Race C, I threw away another win on the 2nd last lap 😭🤣 At least I did it on a corner I'd not crashed at previously 😎

Yeah there was this version of the race with 13 laps? But you had a no change pit but that allowed for some mixing of the field.

I am sure that week I’d set a monster time as I was beating Russ (Lappin) Ben and deamcatcher for most of it by pitting lap 1/2

Snagged a rare win at a track not called Nurburgring.!

Daily A is pretty fun, but I do wish DR was turned on. I'm not even very fast at 1:10.5, but top 5s in just about every race.

Yeah, but I guess PD doesn't want to make it easy for us players to gain tons of DR in easy, short A races. They never make it simple and quick for us. Sigh, that's the thing about it in sport mode. Great job on your win, it's gotta feel amazing getting one of those every once in a while. It's satisfying too.

I think it had tuning allowed previously as well, which also resulted in different performance levels; the tune I got off here was weird but amazingly effective!

I am happiest in Dr C, as i saw your grid is a BRZ Cup race, with an one bmw, what might be the safety car, i already lost my interest in advancing. It starts mid B when only one of the meta makes sense. I understand why you pro drivers, are so upset with the game. And being top 50 in the world and p6 in the race is also frustrating.

My only two races yesterday. Started p6 as well (bmw m6) - 30 seconds later, punted out, as i returned i was 14 seconds behind the last 👍 drove into the pits and stayed there till the end of the race,.
2nd race (corvette) p8 startet like the bmw m6 in front of me was a gt4 car, also the first turn left, fantastic, like in qualifying. I was really excited, the long right, the car didn't steer in, maybe because my right rear Tyre touched sand or my controller gave up, i was out, took me more than 20 seconds to return to the track, red countdown went to 0 as i touched the track again, disqualified. But lately i am very far behind you guys, i started looking for a racing wheel i can use on ps4 and 5. Since i play gt quiet often
now - and my 3 months old, bought as new original sony latest edition for ps4 controller, has stick drift.

I can’t speak for NAX but when you boil the numbers down it’s basically where you should be when you are racing the top 100 in the world, if you think about it it’s no different to real racing when max v qualifies 9th etc it’s in the group of the top split racers.

Sure, true and simple logic, buuuut, i would feel kinda disappointed and now you mentioned it, it makes even less sense. It is maybe because i am mostly driving a better qualifying than my dr ranking suggests. That's why i am rarely starting lower than p7., if i am suddenly in the top 50 of the world, and start a race at p6, it would feel disappointment... While at it, it is really cool being in this forum, where a certain group is weekly represented amongst the top 1000..

You have to think about it in another way.

You qualify top 500 and are low A rated the pool is much bigger so you will start better.

You qualify as an A+ driver 39th then the pool is a lot smaller and 8 people quicker than you are racing at that moment.

BUUUUT you are racing in a top split lobby at this point against the fastest people in the world. The reward from the race starts to move away from DR/SR to “how good am I against my peers”
