Sadly, and at this rate, 'retirement' may have to wait until I'm, like, 90 or something.🤣Hi folks, have only been racing in GT7 (with VR) for 6 months and have to say I find it an amazing 'hobby'. Thank you to all of you for the huge impact and advice that I have found on this forum. I have managed to reach DR B and maintain it this week and the advice has been put to good use. Not bad for a 60+ I suppose and proves you are never too old to find a new distraction.
Talking of awareness, I’m really disappointed again with just general driving/racing aptitude. All A/A+ lobby, start 6th, 4th and 5th have a coming together, so following P3, quicker generally but just keeping the pace up.
It's very annoying with A and A+ guys running in to you - I'm sure some of it's deliberate too, with a little tap that's just enough to put you offline while they try and squeeze past.
I agree, but it really shows that lack of restraint management or race thinking maturity. It bugs me more than it should.
It's an issue in Race B this week. A lot of little bumps and pushes from behind. Impatience or lack of vision (or care) beyond their bumper, I don't know but it's getting to me too. At least it's a fun track, has some nice technical sections that keeps the pressure and resulting reward high.
What? I was in the the front. If was on a straightaway I would have moved over and let him pass. Running in to my rear during a turn is BS.
Yesterday it looks to me that server were acting funny. I had the same tire problem (IM to W in my case). Some cars from some regions "twitching" (is that a word? My english is quite limited) on the track and some qualy times not registering.
The glare is so strong in this foreign sunshine and the cheap beer makes it even harder to see, I’m sure it will be important for when I get back. But well done for not getting in to the 1:48s like most of your peers, that must have taken a lot of restraint to hold back so much
Were they restarted laps in the same single session, where you didn’t exit the session but restarted the lap?
No, this was a straight session, no restarts. Restart resets the lap counter.
Did you serve track limit penalties on that lap?
This was my thinking as well. Next time I am on, I will experiment with it see if that's the case.
Wow, that's fast mate. And don't worry about those drivers that bump into you or cause you trouble when you're racing. Just ignore them and maybe let them pass on by. At least you won't have to worry about him ruining your race or causing you to crash into the wall. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
