The killer would be cross-platform on consoles like fortnite. PC is a bit of a pain and the newer consoles are so sorted but if you can play across consoles......thats a big market.
PMR will have full crossplay across PS5/Xbox/PC, but I’d be turning it off. Don’t really want to play with the PC sim crowd.

Anyway back to GT7. Don’t like Spa for a race B. Not enough laps possible, by the time I get in a rhythm the race is over. Needs a shorter track.

I played the Race B only once because I hate driving around bollards. I only play Race C. Yesterday played 10 times to be precise. It's fun.

You're preaching to the quire! I remember back in 2023, when I raced at Spa. I would hit those bollards at least 25 times during a session. Can be quite annoying, I wish they weren't there, but it's part of the track. If you get overwhelmed during a tough race, just take a break for 2-3 hours and then come back when you have a fresh mind. Being focused is the key to winning a race.

Its just not a popular style of racing in most regions, the Nascar and F1 stuff jusy isnt as fun for a lot of people, GR3 with some assists on makes for fast fun racing.

What we like isnt always how the wider peeps feel.
Sports mode route X race would suggest otherwise. Like I said it makes no difference how popular NASCAR is in any region, it may not be fun for a lot of people but it's also fun for a lot of people . GR.3 seams to struggle to fill my lobbies for a spec that's supposedly fun, unless at rbr. I have never filled any other lobby. I don't find GR.3 particularly fun either. NASCAR on Daytona is easy to pick up and jump in on a 10 lap race. Tell me what will be more popular and worth the production time: a NASCAR or another Suzuki jiminy? Many of the DLC cars are hardly ever used.

We already have a niche racing style in GT7's rally events, and we've all seen how sidelined that has become. Common sense says that another will befall the same fate, as people are already committed to the mainstream.

That is to say, there's nothing inherently wrong with NASCAR nor Rally, but metrics are not showing anyone flocking from 'normal' racing to another, as I said, niche variety.

Wish certain F1 features to the timing screen (on the left) be implemented during the race (Race C):

  • From Lap 1 onwards, wish it would be displayed next to the user's name/car which car has made a pit stop or not.
  • Wish the timing gap between all the drivers could be shown & updated in real time.
  • If a race like Dragon Trail where the users could either opt for RM or RH tyres, then wish it would be displayed next to the name of the user/car as the race starts.

Agreed on all fronts, there's so much more this game could add, so much low hanging fruit. Remember the timing thingy we had in GT Sport, where the hell dd that go?

Not much love for Spa out there but those who know me know I only do rave B (or A when it’s a peach of a combo)

I’ve done a 15min quali and a race in my lunch break each day this week, not more, but every race has been the epitome of what GT7 should be, extra clean from whole top half at least.

I improved by time again today to 2.20.713 and had 3 tenths and just about the overtake @newmedia_dev time when I lost it all last corner argh!!!

As a VR player I just wish I could see how far ahead/behind others I am! Such a big disadvantage when in a longer type race. 🥹
