Managed to improve my Spa time and I’m warming to this GTR in a big way 😁 have to say I didn’t try any other cars because me and this car are one! Can’t remember a time when I just kept eeking out time all week,

I’m hoping my good fortune this week carry’s into the weekend, probably by Saturday night I’ll have wished I brought battlefield 6 instead

Enjoy the weekend all

All yours my beer friend! I cannot stand spa for online racing for some reason although I think it’s the same scars I’ve developed with the “ring” as well over the years.

Is the racing good or in GT Spa fashion a little “contact-y”?

Seemed like whatever hiccups I had with entering a race earlier had stopped, so I did another round of Race A. During the qualifying, I slightly improved my time to 0:47.415, placing me barely within the top 7.1k. Ended up getting a Q7, but then my car stopped during the autodrive so I just left. Might try again later.

EDIT: Tried another round, and qualified for 8th, but wrecked out badly enough to leave. But hey, at least the race loaded properly. Progress!

EDIT2: Actually, I might just wait until the next round of Daily Races arrive on Monday, especially since there’s a notable storm coming through my neck of the woods this weekend.

Daily Race A: uncivilized yanks and their silly obsession with left turns...
Yes, amen to that. It best describes their behavior during the race. And they have their egos too. They want to win by doing anything possible, (dirty tricks up their sleeve).

They can do all this knowing there are no reductions in DR or Safe Driver...
Racing should be a fun experience, not a demolition derby. Just saying. Maybe after the Spec-III update, PD will enforce more strict penalties and punishments for those who break the rules by hitting other drivers or cutting corners.

Now that would certainly bag my vote.

Quite a few have fun doing this as the Plymouth Superbird at those speeds are delicately balanced and all it takes is a tap on the rear quarter panels to spin them off and they know they won't be punished so they continue. I know I've been targeted by three different players repeatedly...

The problem Chris is that people are naturally faster and different places.

This can cause frustration so people push to pass or in a lot of situations panic and tense up, they also weave wildly to break the tow so look “slow” and “erratic”

It all depends on the lobbies and pace and a whole bunch of things.

For me it’s more track limits and consistency for other people poor race management etc it’s all very relative.

We all hate the penalty system until you race to a level that it isn’t a thing because the people you are racing are much more consistent, predictable and ultimately safer to drive with

In the Daily Race A, it's not a matter of being faster, there is no faster or slower, it's just a matter of slipstream and careful maneuvering just to slowly being able to pass each other, as mentioned above it's a delicate balance with that car on this track with 15 others all over you and one tap on the rear quarter panel and you are off in the infield or worse the wall to get battered by others. (The ghosting doesn't work perfectly)

I still do the race because I like the challenge of surviving the scrums hoping to get a podium (usually won't)

I
I've seen it live on Digit's stream at the beginning of the week also, it's awful. I think I'll might go rather for the new Logitech G rs50, since Fanatec has those issues quite often. Ecosystem isn't large as Fana's one, but the few mod available are really good (Momo or MPI i.e.).

Ahh didnt know about Digit...
I let his lives playing on background while work.

I hope they fix it soon...isnt a cheap product to have this kind of service. Btw, I avoid if possible any driver update if everything is working fine. So this is giving me much less freeze issues than who updated recently

Race A is again a peculiar test. Im suspecting we get Nascar in Spec3. They have been testing draft extensively lately. Now in race A it seems to be a bit too weak, as in a clean race passing cleanly is very hard. This leads to people tapping each other out. Cleand racing with such weak draft would require side drafting or heavy contact penalties.

Currently #53 globally - not too shabby.

Managed another win this morning, second of the week! Trying to keep away from peak play times because last night was poor

If you start from pole you just hug the yellow line for 7 laps and no-one can make a clean pass. Makes p1 a dull boy. With such weak (short) slipstream and no side draft there is no way to make 2nd row work.
