I can't believe how many people try to overtake through the bus stop in Race C - I even had one car either side of me into the bus stop in a race yesterday! It didn't end well......

It's not dirty, just over optimistic.
Just FYI, if any car overtakes or pushes You outside the track limits, don't continue to speed through. Get off the accelerator & coast for a second or two. Most probably You won't get a 0.5 second penalty which I feel is bigger because then the time loss to leaders is greater.

Said this as I do this. Mostly I don't get a time penalty which is better than getting one because slowing down on the back straight is very taxing to the overall time.

Had a nice Sunday daily race this morning, with some streamers and online buddy/friends and it was mixed bag of bumper cars, pentalites and poorrrr tyre choices by PD, RH tyres whyyy PD whyy!!! But some races were fun and very close on SPa which is technical but cool racetrack regardless.

Looking forward to the nations cup races next wekk also!

The warm-up that we have at the start of the race which lasts for 30 seconds doesn't seem practical at all. Either give 1 whole race lap worth of warm up time or just don't give at all.

Also if anyone incurs a penalty on the last lap close to the end of the race. we all are aware that the penalty gets carried onto the final timings. But it's not fair that the penalty time is doubled just because the user got a time penalty close to the penalty marker (slow down section) or after that.

I don’t mind the warm up, it’s kinda of just a check everything is working etc not really a “warm up”

But the whole doubled up penalties thing really really annoys me and I posted about this before when it’s close racing that rounding makes a difference. It’s just not necessary IMO

The warm up of 30 seconds seems illogical for the simple reason that before the race starts, we're given 15 minutes worth of time to qualify/ warm up in the qualifying trials section. I usually drive a lap or two before the race starts to get everything in alignment & rhythm. I know all don't do this but it's more meaningful.

The warm up is most likely not a warm up but a loading screen to stabilise the lobby connections is my guess, also handy for checking track water levels in races with conditions.

Bit of a contrast today from yesterday, no win streak, actually no wins and some grubby racing but generally good and clean ish 😁

I’m ready for a change in dailies, hoping for some good gr4 action
Whilst playing every day, my DR has slowly but surely risen to upper B (close to A). While this is flattering, it also lines me up with superior drivers who are well in DR rating A. Because of this, I just scrape into top 10 most of the times but rarely have I gotten a podium in the last three days. My DR rating mostly goes a notch higher because of consistent lapping in 1:16s.

I enjoy clean racing so don't mind racing fair even at the bottom of the pile. But no doubt, I get humbled almost every race by the great fast drivers I'm racing against. Hats off to all of them though.

Honestly that’s how it has to work, those high DR guys aren’t getting DR as fast as you will be just brining it home in 4-10 (sometimes p10)

Hey we are all great drivers but we are still on the path, just gotta keep walking that road 👊

@Childe Roland - thanks for all the help there my friend, very charitable of you.
Good to see you on track mate!
If my memory serves me right, the last time we see each other it was also at Watkings Glen short!
I love it when racing comes down to 1/100ths after a 15 laps 20 mins of VR intensity and wondering where everyone else is and what the deltas are!!!

I don’t mind I started pole and pitted L1 when the finale is just fire! 🔥
I had one of those but pitting on L14 just to encounter myself battling for podium on the last lap.

J Booker is one of the fastest drivers of this region.
He is way faster than me but the fight the brazilian put on him on Turn 1 left him behind and he decided to team race with me against P1.
This is the best last lap I had in a while!

When these races come around I know when I’m driving my best/strongest

Spa was a lively one this week!

The slipstream was set really strong, and combined with the long run to Les Combes it meant the polesitter would lose the lead before they had even started racing properly unless P2 was feeling particularly charitable. Then there are the lag spikes, the servers don't feel very healthy at the moment which isn't the best thing when half the grid are on top of each other, I assume I've lost a load of DR but I don't care, it's a good fun race!

First entry of today, being the last day for this very interesting Race A: a Q8/P4!

EDIT: I also managed to set a new best qualifying time of 0:47.370, placing me within the top 5.2k! I then entered another round, and got a Q4/P4!

Isn’t the doubling of the penalty time because that’s roughly the amount of time you lose when you take the penalty during the race? So if you’re .5 a second behind someone and take a .5 second penalty, you’ll be roughly a second behind them when you get back up to speed.

I used to think that as well but it’s not quite, the issues is when you are .5 penalty and it’s rounded up or 1.5 rounded up when as I posted a few posts ago we were separated by 100ths the penalty System isn’t quite right

Probably not, because the 'real' time loss is different depending on circuit and penalty zone placement.

It's just a clunky rounding up of decimals.
