YEah I am out on race A, what a waste of a fabulous little car, nothing but crashes, i end up turned around on lap one literally every time, total waste of my time. Race B is also total rubbish track, the Sprint circuit is all the worst bits of NGP with all the good bits missing and again, wrong car for this track. Now I have been shuffled back down to DR-B due to finishing at the back in 5 straight Race A's, I may try Race C, just to see if it helps me get gold int he time trial. But yeah, Autopolis reminds me of the yabbi dabbi GP track, it would benefit from removing corners. That last sector, if it just went straight on 3 corners from the end it'd be great but that last mikey mouse bit is horrible. Not a good week.

Did some laps yesterday on race C 32.184....did 1.31.999 but got a penalty that make me lose more time than win...

Race B and A, I don't wanna touch it....fiasco and carnage, they still insisting in hard tires on gr3 where people don't know how to break or steer....

When I got a 31 mark I'll consider race on C.

Since I'm very stressed on my work, Races become another font of stress cause bad behavior .

Today I only played Race A. With my best time of 1:46:6xx I even started on pole position 2 or 3 times which I wasn't happy about. At times I started in top 5 otherwise. Today most of the races were decent & not overly dirty. If You keep clear of the braking zone whilst not being on the racing line, You can get away scot free.

I managed to lift my DR & SR ratings to B & S respectively. I keep watching @Tidgney 's lap guide either from his channel or from his new collaborative channel Delta Coach where he even uses the telemetry to explain spots where speed was gained or lost. Earlier, used to see his lap guides for TTs mainly but now only for daily races as I rarely play TTs now. Daily races are addictive.

I haven't touched Race C as I'm not comfortable with Gr. 2 cars. Will play Race A for the remaining days because at least the car + track combo gives me excitement to try & be at my best, if not improve.

Race C looked interesting, so I did some qualifying and managed to get just outside the top 6k, using the Honda NSX Concept-GT. I wonder if that's necessarily any good for Race C in general?

First time driving the Juniors (Race A), weird having to go buy a car to race dailies at this stage. I gotta say, though, I like it. We'll see how the races go but this thing is a blast to drive. Underpowered enough to avoid insta-kill when the back of the car breaks loose, too.😁

Not sure if I'll bother with B or C this week. As others have said, they took the worst of the worst of NGP and baked it into one horrible cookie. For C, I don't drive the high-downforce stuff that often, my skillz depth is way low...like 'condensation on glass' kinda thickness.🤣

Have fun out there!

Hey guys, hope you’re enjoying your racing week, I’m having a well earned break, I have to say I’m wondering about race A, about how it is to race, I’ll leave this to the weekend and be super aware of my surroundings and let things go rather than hard race. Either way my QT was about 1.44 so I’m going to be racing at the back, which may well suit.

I’ve wondered what I did before I started racing 😁

Have fun!

Apologies, I meant the fact that I’m outside the top 6k for qualifying times.
Nevermind. It depends on your expectations. The Gr2 aren't easy cars to drive. It's needed a smoother driving style compated to Gr4 or Gr3. Never "gas it out" of corners like lower categories normally allow; be gentle. Avoid braking deep, brake before, less and trust the engine brake. That helps carrying more speed in corners and saves your tyres. Racing, even from the back, might help you find some pace to then improve your QT to get a better grid spot. Up to now there're ar 22"500 participants. You're inside the fastest 30%. The matchmaking is btw weird at times, so you might start on the back in the first few races and find yourself in front if you have positive results (8th or better at the finish line).

Ah man, sorry about that. Which car are you using for Race B? I've found the Lambo and Ferrari work best for me, both with the BB set to +5

I set my Race A BB to +3 and that gives me the best times. My biggest issue is hitting the best brake points

I’ve done 4 races as a B/B racer

2 won, 1 I finished 3rd and the other I started second was helped to last and recovered to 7th all with CRB

The race is good with the right people otherwise it’s an utter cluster, and I don’t blame the players these fast cars are wider and faster than you think.

But honestly it’s like playing wipeout in some lobbies, they will learn but if the hopper keeps filling they will keep making full hoppers….

Edit:

And just like that I go from pole to being in the pit lane.

This is absolutely ridiculous, a few weeks ago we had 57 Chevys at goodwood and now we have junior formula cars with “enthusiastic” slipstream and don’t get me started on Nurbs Sprint in GR3 especially as the handling is really weird in that class now, it seems to have gone back to the more snappier driving mechanic which is fine but the short track and lack of actual technical corners makes me wonder.

Yeah the one and only stint I had on NGP was in the Ferrari, you’ll probably see it in your leaderboard, I liked my livery 😁 but the race was sweaty, I got punted into P1, escaped a pen and then won, but it wasn’t any fun, so I’m going to await next week and hope my mojo returns.
