So very predictable.

More than a week away from Daily Races, and literally the first braking zone of the corner of my first race back I get speared from behind at full pelt. I spin 720, hit a wall and get 1.5 seconds of penalties for my trouble. There's 8 minutes of my free time I won't get back.

I love this game, but I hope the mooted 'improvements to Sport Mode' will do something to tackle this problem.

At least the game recognised something wasn't cricket... I maintained full SR and got a clean race bonus. Bizarre, but accurate, I guess.

Race C was OK last night, though I did try a few cars and nothing comes even close to the Citroen so it's a bit of a Citroen cup I am afraid. I was mid pack and going to finish 7th or 8th in a DR-A room but smacked the pit entry wall like the muppet I am and finished near last dammit. People were pretty sensible though.

And it’s a friggin ugly car, I just won’t race it - EVER

It’s been a long time since I’ve been sickly positive and honestly B & C are good in the actual racing sense, like actual racing where there isn’t a move every corner and staying out of the slip stream rather than following the bumper 6 inches is a good thing in both races.

A is probably fun but I liked last GTWS version of it over this one.

I don’t mind either race actually being mostly meta races because they are actually racing not sweaty must win fests

Well, I think I’m going to pass on this week, whilst I’m still BS and enjoying it, some weeks are just not suited to your style and either your happy to scrap around at the back (which I am not) or take a breather.

Maybe some weekend race A but that’s it.

What a weird night in Race C. Had ZERO luck, i'd get borked by guys battling and as I let off the gas i'd lose momentum and get mugged. Folks serving penalties RELENTLESSY seemed to un-ghost and hit the apex of the hairpin RIGHT when I should be so borked again and three times had blokes spin RIGHT in front of me resulting in either contact or... yep ... being borked! Was so frustrating.

Then i had this imbecile lose his mind because I rear ended him hard. I was on his rear end for nearly 3 laps, if I was going to intentionally punt him i had plenty of chances. He has this awful habit of changing lines int he braking zones, twice I avoided carnage but the third time he moved so late there was no way to avoid him. He was on the inside, I went outside, he then went outside so i went inside, this is early on the main straight. He then swings violently to the inside right in front of me well, well after we hit the brakes. Like buddy, pick a damn line and defend.

Even though I love all variations of Tokyo, won't be touching Race A for a million reasons.

If Race C is a Citroen cup, then Race B is the Viper Cup. I'm playing around 500kms every day in these 2 race categories. After seeing SammySnake's racing stream on Youtube for these races, I got confidence to try the Viper myself which I was avoiding before then. I'm more confident with MR cars than FR cars. But the Viper being the meta car here, I slowly but surely got the hang of this car which makes me real happy. My fastest qualy time is 1:27:580 in the Viper. Deep Forest is so much fun. The first lap is mainly mayhem but after that it's nice & clean.

Race C is only playable with Gt by Citroen car. Initially, I tried the Mazda3 but because it's a FF car, the fronts get chewed in 5 laps. I play a few races here as I've only encountered clean races. Just wish another tyre compound was available or dynamic weather like the one we had at Le Mans 2 months ago. Race C offers more sane but overall it lacks thrill. Race B is where the thrill is but at time it can become chaotic as users want to clash with each other even for 12th position. I just don't understand the ego driving some users race with instead of their skills.

This was the case in Race C in Watkins Glen (Gr.4) recently where You had to enter the pits but could skip changing tyres & adding fuel. What's the point of changing from RM to RM. This time the Race C format is focused on who can save tyres the longest. Which is why most are opting for GT by Citroen car.

I love the Gr. 4 cars but today I kept playing Race B (Gr. 3) because it's real fun driving through Deep Forest. Race A I skipped because the speed feels surreal enough to race within the walls at Tokyo.

I am racing the Cayman (don’t ask!) and my tires were gone by lap 11. Can the Citroen’s last 11 laps?

Enjoy DF. It is a fun track, though the twisties early in the lap are usually carnage!

It's faster to change tyres surely? You lose about 3 to 4 seconds and you make that up in 2 laps.
