I wonder if we get both new tracks for dailies next week, or they use one for the boring time trials instead.

After the massive disappointments of Rennsport & PMR, I just want some good racing on new tracks,.

Have you tried daily C this week? Not a new track but it feels like a breath of fresh air.

My guess for tomorrow is a TT on Abu Dabi with the glorious Renault Espace F1 and for next monday GR3 on G.Villeneuve for daily C.

How much I enjoed St. Croiz, that much I'm having issues with LM. Just can't find the right car that suits me around there. The Supra & 911 are good but they don't help me extract the most out of my competitive play.

In Race C, I tried the Meta Diablo but it's quite tricky. Even tried the GTR-500 which was more controllable but still couldn't get the best out of it. So stuck to my McLaren '95 which isn't as fast as the Diablo but so damn stable. It's a beast in wet weather though.

Don't know about all of You but when racing in wet conditions in Race C, the driving really gets me mentally exhausted a bit. Wet conditions around a technical track like Suzuka commands upmost concentration & consistency even. I really prefer wet conditions over the dry because in the wet, the playing field gets levelled.

The McLaren is one of my favourites cars in the entire game but it lacks of pace here.

The most balanced car for me is the F40.
Not as stable as the McLaren but its really manageable and a pleasure to drive with its "funny rear" while trailbraking.

You cant match the speed or the acceleration of the Lambo but if you stay close enough to them to take slipstream you can brake really late and overtake them in the turns.
Its pretty decent under wet conditions also.

The Diablo is fast but is undriveable for me and Im seeing lots of aliens off track several times in the same race.

I like the high expectations into an update, just because it's called spec3. One car I might use regularly, and 2 new tracks. That's what in for me. I rather don't want them to bop any class anymore after what they did to gr. 4.

Well, you can expect some physics changes because a new tyre model is coming.
I have high expectations also in bop changes to make gr 4 something more balanced than we have today (boring slow cars with the same METAS week after week)

I got so close to 1.56 today at Lake Maggiore, I’ve actually enjoyed racing the Porsche 911 again, I thought it’d lost a load of power so I moved away from it but it’s still such a pleasure to race with, 1.57.059 and at some point I was well in but flummoxed the last corner in spectacular fashion!

@Charmantha lots of excitement for the update and new cars and new TTs and new tracks, tyre models, physics, 15Gb should give quite some changes 🤗

Supra understeers too much, you need something better through the esses, try the Beetle and the Lambo.

Fighting for wins in Race b in DRB rooms but again ran into a guy who wants to race clean but is changing lines defending. He qualified a milisecond faster than me but in race i am SLIGHTLY faster, it is very close. He takes defensive lines when i am close, that is all good, but JUST before we hit the brakes he swings to the racing line. Super, super annoying and when i mentioned it he got all bent outta shape.

Honestly don’t mention it, you are fighting a lost cause there are too many idiots who stream awful racing.

The classic is “I’m gonna go defensive” that’s cool, I’m not a slip stream 2 inches from your back bumper, so you go there and I’ll go over here….this is normal and racing.

But those without disciple, car control and race craft panic….even when you are beside them and try to swing wide for a faster/less braking/turning apex….even when you are next to them. Then they blame the contact on you, rinse repeat. Especially as I like to pin people if they are doing that overtake or or move to their line, I don’t have to stay wide I’m comfortable taking the narrow line and exit. I do this for 2 reasons sometimes:

I don’t appreciate their driving lines or that the way to contain the move is to make us both relatively slow. But honestly most people i race I’d imagine it’s a struggle to get their shoes on sometimes

I’ve honestly found the racing in B (Lago) really hard, for loads of reasons I could make a long post about respecting apexes and late moves are wrong but it’s all pointless.

I’m really quite tired generally with how the racing works and what’s rewarded or how grids are decided: there is literally no reason to go fast, learn the track and the lines when the “dynamic” racing ruins that!

Had a pretty leary Daily Race C, all rain and no Skylines in sight except mine and a bunch of Mclarens I was battling around Japanese's most iconic racetrack! Was in 3rd but some penalties made me dropt o 6th overall.

Ditto for me Mate. A longer track like St. Croix suited me but LM doesn't for some reason. I keep shuffling between FR & MR cars to gauge which car would suit me the best but it didn't help.

So I mainly enter Race C with McLaren '95 as it suits my driving style. Plus, the excitement of rain with pitting strategy makes it a fun race altogether.

So….. anyone tried any of it yet? 296 in a daily perhaps? 😁
Rory is streaming at the moment with it. CGV so must be a lobby rather than daily, but the car & track look very good.

Have to say generally underwhelmed with spec 3

I collect all the new menus straight away, bought all the cars, did the circuit experiences to gold for both new tracks and gold in the 2 new TTs factor in I spent about 3 mins opening tickets etc done in about 40 mins

And it turns out there aren’t any changes with sports mode as far as I can see :(

Try punting a few off and see what happens? 🙈
Saw Kie saying FFB was feeling different?
I'll hopefully get home early afternoon and give it a go - must make myself some new Ferrari liveries before driving..

🤣

I didn’t feel a lot of difference in the FFB but throttle control is more important it feels like (especially the Merc at CGV! In the CE)

That would make sense to me as new tyre physics plus it’s makes the datalogger more useful as the traces will be more nuanced than on coast off etc
