The WRX at RBR is one of my favorite combinations. Even when it's not "good" there it's still a blast to drive. My biggest struggles are putting power down exiting 1 and 3. That's also where everyone else suffers too. So far my trick has been to have the TC menu up approaching 3 and flick up to 1 mid corner so that I can hammer the throttle and then immediately flick back down to 0. It's not great but I'm lazy and don't feel like feathering a controller :D

You are right on the pace mate, I had a similar time to you earlier today and starting last in my BS lobbies, but a few tenths off and it’s right up to top6
Thanks mate - I've dropped another .160 off so coming down. Been watching replays and I'm very jerky with the steering and didn't realise my trail braking is either 100% or 10% thought I was hitting the 60/70% but was dropping straight down to 10%. So to hit the corners I think I've been over slowing and not carrying enough speed. Going to focus purely on RBR and try and get a competitive time. I've got your QT burned into my brain
Perhaps the stars (us) will align and we will all race together. I remember racing bone-tone in the karts and it was nice clean racing all the way through 🥳
Sod's law we will all end up in a B race in P1,2 and 3 and then take each other out on the last corner to send us all down into C together!

I've noticed an interesting characteristic of Race C, the no ABS race.

Contact and people being upset at dirty driving is almost non-existent. There hasn't been the flurry of people complaining at other drivers. Accidents are minimized (as far as I have seen). It would appear that fear of catastrophe has people behaving themselves.
It's one of those races where being smooth really pays off - being too aggressive slows people right down.

A late on the brakes lunge down the inside pretty much guarantees an off! It's funny how many people suddenly spear off track on their own too - turns 1 and 3, and the hairpin before the long back straight. It's almost like they've hit a patch of ice 😆.

Had 4 or 5 races tonight , all bit one a total debacle, this isb2 weeks in a row now, it has to stop.
I feel for you, sometimes it's really frustrating. However try to think about the big picture; you're experiencing lots of situations that will be a "full bag" of racecraft know-how. I'm sure in future you'll grow a sort of sixth sense that will allow you to stay calmly far from troubles. Seeing your improvements in the last few months makes me believe that you're on the right path.

Don’t often post full races but this is a cracker of a race from my VR perspective, started pole finished .2 behind P1 and went side by side through the entirety of the last lap.

GT7 | Deep Forest | 🔥 Last Lap

That was some insanely brilliant racecraft by both you and the final P1 driver. And what a thrill to watch that last lap!

I rarely do daily races but that Race C with the Trueno was very appealing. The build is rather simple and tuning necessary to keep this lightweight on track. Did only one race yesterday but it was one of my top ten Multiplayer experiences in GT7! I had some good racing (thank you "vollderbart" if you read this!) and could gain some positions back after an unforced error. Will go again and recommend to give it a try. (I am not proud of my tuning but If it holds you back I will share it although knowing that here are hundreds of people with better skills. Send me a PM.)

Im doing the opposite. TC1 for T1 Because it rarely engages, then tc2 rest of lap. Tc2 turn one and you lose half a second to the pack, its too aggressive .

oh... I'm trying this today! Thanks for the tip

Osshh bet that .016 feels like 16 mins when you’re trying to get it off.

Could you see where you can gain it or were you on the limit?

Not really mate, probably come the weekend I’ll pass it with ease, just not today 😁

Realised I still had counter steer on from the trial mountain race so I’m playing with tha one at present

Yep. I’ve been playing jump rope with that C/B line for 3 years.
We could start our own lobby with the amount of us doing the same dance 😂

Well it’s alright for some 😂😂😂 my 4 tenths feels like an hour Thani trying to get down through!!!!

It’s getting me P6-P9 in the lobbies tho so it’s down to me now to make the top half

I’ve gone through the telemetry and seen that on every corner bar one he is going in slower and out quicker and carrying more speed at the apex but damn it if I can work it how to do it 😂😂😂 I just neee 2 tenths to be competitive!

I'm in a similar position regarding my participation in daily races but oh boy, am I having a blast with this Daily Race C in Tsukuba!!

I've had my ups and downs but have enjoyed every single race I've run today. Admittedly, I'm not running my own setup but rather one created by Praiano, but have found this particular event very interesting.

The cherry on top has been getting my first two victories in sport mode. A satisfying day in online mode that has me neglecting my duties in the weekly challenges 😁

Plenty of fun and surprisingly, very decent sportsmanship in my lobbies. As mentioned above, a welcome side effect of the lack of ABS.

Ohhhhh I’m getting closer, Dow newly half a second in last few days!!! Just need one more tenth 😮😮

This is sticking me in the top 5 on the grid tho so at least I’m competitive to finish in the top half of the race.

Didn’t have time to save the Replay tho so I’m fuming as just worked out how to use data logger properly 😮😂

Awesome work, now for a 29 for you too! I was so close this morning but didn’t quite pull it off,

You need to stay in DR B now and consolidate that, won’t be any fun starting in pole and winning each time at C

I need to get my game face on too 😁

Yeah I’m up at 12k DR now so just need to push that up a bit for a buffer!!

You’re right, dropping to C to do 3 “time trials” from the front to get back to B isn’t the most engaging.

I was up at 15k after blue moon bay but interlagos absolutely brutalized me down to 5k 😂😮😂

I’ll put good money on your breaking into rhe 29’s before me!!!!

Yes yes yes, 3 RBR races and yep back to DRB 😂 🥳, now where’s bone-tone at as we need this race to happen ✌️

Come on @bone_tone you still in B? I'm going to be back online 3.30pmish UK time.

Anyone seeing there SR get hammered at RBR? I've dropped to A for the first time in a long time and haven't really been doing anything and have kept penalties to a minimum.

Braking on the tarmac/kerbs/green stuff.

Do you get less stopping power if you've got tyres on the kerb rather than fully on the tarmac? I'm struggling with T2 and T3 at RBR and not sure how far over on the track I should be to open the corner up?

Sadly I can’t make 15:30 today but will possibly be about later. My SR during the Nations race took a hit so shall drive like a 85 year old out for a pootle on a Sunday on the Isle of Wight in a Clio 1.2max to get it back to S. 🙏🏻🤠

I'll look out for you - I'm 4 hours ahead so may be racing for a few hours if Elden Ring doesn't pull me away!
No, I'm still at C - not helped by the fact that I've focused on Race C!

Doing Race B won't help, as I'm hopeless at RBR - that would probably send me down to DR D 🤣
haha brutal when a race comes like that, this was interlagos for me, sent me spiralling.

Have you had a go on Race A yet? I did a couple of laps but don't know the track at all.

Managed a win at lunch, first one of the week and quite fortuitous again 😁 started pole in my BA lobby, slight punt first corner but recovered and was about 2 secs clear for a couple of laps until this German driver hunted me down and cleanly passed me, tried to push at him last few corners and absolute last corner he went just a tad wide and got a pen, unlucky bugger

Race C is a strange one - either it's full of really poor drivers, or they're racing without tuning their cars 🤔

I had two races like this today, closest I've come to being a seal clubber 😂:-
