Manage to take part in 3 Race C's just a while back. Even though the MR cars have better race pace, I'm preferring the FR cars which are very handy in T1 & the left hander after the uphill quick chicane in S1. I raced with the AMG GT3 twice & once with the F-Type. Managed to finish all three in top 5 whilst my last race I achieved a podium which is surprising even to myself.

I managed to keep the car in one piece after starting 8th. First lap in S1 is utter chaos. Due to the stable nature of the AMG, was able to make positions for a podium. Even though far off from 1st place finished driver, I enjoyed my race here & in the other two races as well as I'm in cars which I'm confident in.

I think I've changed my mind and try RA race C instead of LM.
I still need to get used to the new 911. ('25.0 at Brands with ideal of '24.2, so there was lot room for improvements). Then I'll try to find if the RCF can cope with tires wear. If it goes well I'll stick with her instead of the 911.

Well this is annoying, sure there’s some further strategy etc but kinda ruins my lunch time race plans, 😁

But my early morning race had me start pole on softs, so was p2 so it was a lively race for a couple of laps until I got a half sec pen, but finished second and 500DR for that one ☝️

Feel in no man's land this week. So doing some qually laps at Road Atlanta whilst I decide if I want to learn new tracks. 1:58.532 so far in the 296.

Just wondering.
For those who were at Kyoto last week; do you prefer it forward or reverse?
I found way easy the reverse layout, especially the "mid-track" esses. Maybe because we reach those at lower speed, but I never got penalties there, when in normal layout that's a very high risk penalties spot.

Are you guys fast on Lago Maggiore reverse? 🤔 Because after getting comfortable (kinda) I still can't get a competitive qualifying time.

Edit: For clarity, if a post breaks a rule, we delete (or edit) it. If it doesn't, we don't.

Asking us not to delete it is nonsensical, because it either breaks a rule and we delete (or edit) it or it doesn't and we don't. Either you know it breaks a rule and you shouldn't post it, or you know it doesn't and it's fine. Or, if you're really unsure, ask one of us privately before you post it.

We're not going to not do our job because someone asked us not to, and we don't just randomly delete posts.

Unless they're mindless junk, of course.

Race B is a fun little race, I quite like the track in reverse and breaks up doing a long race C over and over again. Obviously don't let @brockie see that I've said this

I've not done forward, but I did enjoy the reverse layout, felt like it had a nice flow to it, wish it had been a few laps shorter though.

What are you looking at in terms of fast/competitive? I've got a 2.08.0XX and found that I made most of my time up getting the esses right and making sure after the flat out section I got onto the curbs on the first two sections fully and broke early to be able to cut the final corner and get the power down as quick as possible as going wide in that final bit and hitting the wall off scrubbing off a ton of speed not too really murders your time. I hope that makes sense as it may well just come across as the ramblings of a wally 🤦‍♂️

I can’t stand it so I’m steering well clear and to me seeing only ugly Citroen is no way to spend 4 laps 😁
haha grumpy! TBF in the race I've had, it's only been 50% citrons, plenty of swifts and meganes, there is also a 4c and a 458 in the top 20 times, a sub 9 minute race would deffo suit your lunch time slot!

Definitely going to change my strategy for this race now. I've been ducking in on Lap 6 for Softs after starting on Mediums and the Softs are nearly toast by the end. Maybe I can squeeze two more out of them but I'm planning on only being able to do 1

Using the Taylor Swift is real fun 🤩. Lots of other cars out there as well tbh and the TT is fast 💨

To be fair I’d give it a go if I liked the track but I just don’t, saying this I’ll probably do some at the weekend because after 15 laps at RA hanging on for dear life, I’m shattered 🤣

What is the strategy for tyres? didn't really affect my first race! from what Art3mis is saying, sounds like 8 laps on mediums? Is that what everyone else is doing?

That tends to be what ppl are doing or the opposite 😂 but I like to start on softs as in my early race someone did opposite with 6 laps lefts on softs against my medium and didn’t manage to chase me down

My current fast list 😁

Regarding the what...........I'll clarify.

As I had put up a post relating to my daily race C progress just 2 posts above, I didn't want to merge M.Hizal's post in mine as it's a different matter & was an indirect announcement.

The reason I said don't delete the post (which was a request in the first place) is because I wanted users out here to know incase they're not playing today. So they wouldn't be shocked seeing 15 laps instead of 13 laps. I was just trying to be logical, not nonsensical.....

Your posts were separated by over an hour and someone else's post, and the latter post contained new information not available at the time of your original post. Why would they be merged - or deleted, per your original post?

Even so, and again, ask first if you're unsure. Don't post public requests for us not to do our jobs, even if the course of action would be applicable which it wasn't.

Yeah. When this changed last week I posted the same thing. So... yeah.

I did what you wrote and 2:08 is exactly l what I'm looking at. I'm always 2-3 seconds slower than the top players (2:05, last I checked yesterday) to stay in high B's but the best I can do on this reverse layout is 2:11.015 in the Huracan. I don't want to use the Citroën.
I always manage to get decent Q times in cars people rarely pick that week. This time I just can't.
My qualifying process is always the same: 1st lap 0 BB, changing gear when getting to the Rev limiter, 2nd-3rd-4th lap trying different revs on straights to see what's faster, then all the following laps is all about trying different braking, steering etc, adjusting the BB and gear when entering/exiting corners.

I'll try the Cayman, there's one replay with it at the top.

Edit: 2:10.655 with the WRX, still too far.

Ah I can’t offer much more help, I’m a lemming for meta and my full decision making process for the week on cars comes down to looking at the top ten and going with that 😂

There is a Ferrari in the tops times and the swift seems quick

Got it haha. For the record I tried the Citroën and after only 2 laps and no adjustments 2:09.7xx.
I'm ashamed of myself for giving up.

Man I am beating myself up and getting mullered over in race C! It’s a massacre 😂

Why does Gr3 have to be so much harder than Gr4, I could just park myself in B and feel like I’m a star 😂

Haha I have no shame, go with whatever makes it the most fun and competitive.

I also don’t know anything about cars so am not a petrol head so don’t have any hate for the Citroen and once I’m racing I don’t even know what car I’m in.

Had a go at some qually laps and it did seem a decent combo. Brand new track to me so need to keep practicing before I'm ready to actually race. What's the average race lap time roughly?
It’s 7 mins or so which is ok for something like this where it’s not a scalpel more of a flow car.

The only problem I have is that in my lobby spreads the risk reward is massive for me. So I switch off my DR thinking and just enjoy the racing in this one.

Just as a side note, these sort of races pay massive dividends in learning and improving car control, safely tricky but rewarding especially on throttle control and mass management to your advantage

@newmedia_dev I just chucked in 15 laps and finally managed to out some decent times together, will get some racing going tomorrow as I think this could be fun and watching some others race might help me with the track a little more, my time is 437 so I’m not sure if it’s not too popular but I’ll see tomorrow,

Good times on the leaderboard? Something to works towards emulating 😁
