When single other game, device and app and everything else on my network works perfectly fine, you're not going to convince me that GT7 hard crashing at the end of/while matchmaking, being unable to save or play replays without crashing, being unable to load my garage with custom liveries without restarting and a multitude of other issues, is because of my ISP. Nothing about the network environment has changed, nor has my ISP, up or download speeds, ping, packet loss. The only thing that's changed to cause these issues was the last update.

I played for 2 and a half hours at most this afternoon and hard crashed 3 times, with error reports sent.

I want to play GT7, it's one of my favourite games but at this point it's unbearable.
Cool.

I don't think that you're actually reading my post because you're just making stuff up now. To reiterate, I have the exact same ISP as you, and have a completely different experience, so no I'm not trying to convince you that it's your ISP.

My experience couldn't be more different, and while sometimes it ends up just being the ISP not playing ball with P2P (T-Mobile is notorious for it) I happen to have the same ISP as you - and for at least as long.

In the time it took you to type all of that out you could have done the things I've recommended to you.

If you don't actually want to take any help and you'd prefer to keep on being frustrated about it, that's fine but not productive. I'd suggest that if it was "unbearable" you'd actually take the advice on board instead of coming up with thin reasons not to.

From what I remember, they have a habit of putting themselves centre stage!

And yes, I agree. It's a crazy race, but quintessentially Gran Turismo!
I've only been taken out by them once but quite a few people saw the clip, whoops!

It feels like an old school kind of race, from before the eSport fad of pretending everything is serious, I love it.

A pleasing anti-meta win in Race B today from P2 on the grid - clean race bonus too, unlike the two behind me! Took a clean lead at turn 1, and wasn't challenged the whole race.

First race so far where I've seen anything other than the 911 or R8 win - the Ford GT doesn't seem to be as competitive in race as it is in qualifying.

The BoP seems well balanced this week in qualifying at least, the power cars have 2 long straights and the handling cars have the technical section in between. It seems like a lot of cars can be on the pace if you hook up a lap.

In the race a lot are using the Viper because it's so quick on the straight, it's a cheat code for overtaking/defending.

It makes me laugh out so loud when you find exceptional quali times up at the front at Tokyo Expressway, accompanied by totally unprovoked mouthing off by the fast guys in the pre race lobby (usually a couple of perpetrators). Then when it's race time, they all end up wrecked at the back after Turn 1. I mean, what's the aim there?

Needless to say, there's a noticeable difference when Mum calls them to dinner and you get an honest, competitive lobby. You can almost hear the collective sigh of relief from the rest of the, more mature, drivers.

One of the more entertaining Race A's, nonetheless.

Definitely, if so, some important files of GT7 in your PS are corrupted. Try to reinstall.

Did 2 more races C today. First one I started P5, but it went downhill pretty quickly. I wanted to start slowly, but failed lol. I spun twice by myself on my in lap (lap 2), and to make matters worse I crashed into the pit entry barrier. Wow.. I decided to race on but I was P15, 20+ seconds behind P14. Apparently no one made any grave mistakes, because I didn't gain any places. At the end I had the gap closed to 4 seconds but was still P15.

Second race: P2 start. I was again a bit clumsy in the beginning, losing several positions. But no big crashes so that was okay. Decided to pit after lap 1, which is perfectly feasible indeed. Had a nice fight with several drivers and ended up P2 again! I did some bumpdrafting halfway through the race, and capitalized on people outbraking themselves or making other mistakes. Let's try again tomorrow if I can find some time.

Gave the Ford GT and Audi another run and yeah cannot get lower than a 27.7. Tried a few other cars but nothing else has the legs and I don't like the Viper. I'll give the Alfa another crack tonight in QT but for now the 27.6 I managed holds and TBH it's 3 tenths shy of where I need to be I think.

I came to the same conclusion as I’m .4 off where I’d like to be, I tried quite a lot of the top cars and can get them all low 27s but none of them feel great to be honest and it’s a little more slippery than last time but that could be me imagining it

I suspect I am losing time through the awkward left then quick right then the next tight/long right, there's a lot of time there and I do not feel I am flowing with the car. It's kinda like Skyline/Dipper at Bathurst, you sorta know when you're dancing it through there really fast and when you're just on the brakes too much.

Haven't posted here in a while, but thought I would shared some fun side-by-side racing on daily race C. Just three B rank drivers doing their best to keep it clean. Had dirty tires for the first few turns, but was eventually able to get a pass done, and came in 3rd.

Had some runs at Daily A the last few days. It's usually not so bad after T1, but man that slipstream causes carnage there. Ended up with a reasonably solid tactic of holding the extreme inside and braking early to coast around. Seems to let me dodge a lit of carnage or come out relatively unscathed.

Shame numbers are so low because people are getting scared of road cars again. Best laugh I had was a pair of the "national guard" getting mad that I was on pole and winning so they started teaming up to try and ram me every T1 and then wall ride and bumpdraft to catch me the remaining laps. It never worked, but it was fun to see.

Hopefully race in B later in the week when I'm consistent and safe enough round there. The Porsche seems the most comfy to me so far.

@Stringerbell totally understand the whole cycle of "just one more" followed by "I must stop this madness" the following morning haha!
Yeah it's a vicious cycle and for some sadistic reason it's actually worse if I'm having a bad time getting punted off, just telling myself "the next one will be clean" 🤦‍♂️

How has A been treating you?
The wife and I settled on an arrangement to compromise as I find TV REALLY boring (There hasn't been a good show since Breaking Bad IMHO) and prefer movies. So Monday through Thursday night I go to the basement and ride the rig, Friday through Sunday night I am with the mrs on the main floor couch. This also allows my oldest to play with his mates online as they can stay up later on Friday and Saturday nights.

Lately I have been preferring Race C because it's less likely to end in tears, folks are a little more settled as they have more time, Race B feels very helter skelter. However I've doe a lot of Barcelona and a lot of GT Citroen so a change is needed.
I'm exactly the same with TV, used to love a good box set with breaking bad, sopranos, the wire (obviously by my username) but like you said nothing decent for a long time, even the peaky blinders movie was disappointing. Was actually the reason i bought a playstation for the first time a year ago to start my gaming journey at the grand old age of 42 as I was just bored flicking through Youtube as my wife works on her business each evening when the kids are in bed.

I think the quality of TV has been a conscious decision by the networks and studios as they know 80% of people watching it will be on their phones/social media during it so they really dumb down the plot now to the point if you are paying full attention it's just boring.

I think race C is going to be my home moving forward, it's just so much easier to get a clean race then it is in the carnage that is the sprint of B and even if there is a mistake or contact you have the time to make some spaces up. I do love the ability to jump into race B for a quick race but I just suffer more from carnage then I do good racing in it.

I just find tv boring. A few shows start well and/or have a good premise but then they fall in a heap or get silly.

Ran a few races at Deep Forrest, it is a fun teack tondrive when you het it all right but not much of a race track, it is VERY hard to pass, even allowing for the fact im in the Alfa. Every second race one gets punted, just sloppy driving and lack of awareness mostly but also guys barging past bevause they can as usual.

I’m sure the last we raced at deep forest it was a tough one and no one enjoyed it, seemed to remember the viper needing short shifting but it might also have been the 4C was there and fun to drive,

From the 5 races (C) I did this week in total, I managed to destroy my chances in 3 of them during lap 1 or 2 incidents. I can only blame myself for this because my fellow racers are clean enough.

I am getting better in braking early and taking the concertina effect into account into braking zones, not tapping other people so much. But I still have to get better in driving off the racing line during close racing. Sometimes you are stuck on the inside or outside and need to navigate carefully. What got me in these 3 races is that I think I'm on the throttle too early in many occasions. Either to try to stay in someones slipstream, or because I am afraid that someone behind me is barging past in a clumsy way. To try to get away from them I'm a little too throttle happy and spin by myself or make similar mistakes.

In the 2 races that I didn't fall into this trap, I both finished P2! Only didn't win because the polesitter is at least a full second faster than P2 / P3 and drives away with ease. So my pace is there. Just learning to cool some of those nerves during the first laps and let the race settle in.
