No mate. It's always good to bounce ideas and advice around for each other. I'm still relatively new to GT7 and even more so to sport mode with just 150 or so races completed.

At that particular time I was genuinely wondering where you and others were finding the sort of pace needed!

The races last night I felt out of my depth. My QT was only good enough to start in the very lower parts of the grid. Lots of YT streamers in there....
I was joking mate.

Were you in with a bunch of A+ last night then? I would have though your quali would have had you in the top half at the veery least, if not pushing the top 5.

Disastrous few races this evening. When it goes wrong in race B it goes terribly wrong with the groups of cars at high speed. Never fully comfortable, having to ease off to avoid collisions or make mistakes and get swapped = race over.

Question: if someone is already starting to spin out and you unintentionally tap them, making things worse, is waiting the right thing to do or would you just plough on?

Was in a lobby with @Barney Da Dog for a couple. What did you make of it, mate?
I've had pretty poor races - several through my own errors but also getting caught up in other people's crashes too. I did get a couple of decent results but all due carnage ahead and not any skill on part.

If I'm already spinning and somebody hits me I'd not expect them to wait. The two fast left handers are quite tricky as if someone loses it when they're right in front of you, if you lift too much or try to avoid them then you're probably going to crash as well.

I've not raced A or C yet - may give C a go later

Just to be clear - you're a rapid driver!

Couple of A+ but mainly A. Then again they could've all been on the verge of A+.

It's a good idea, I think @benjoi84 suggested, about separating DR into groups. I'm not a DR A driver in Gr.3 machines.

C looks so hard, especially round such a technical track!! good luck

😊😊😊😊

I'm back in A now - had 3 races and same situation as RBR the other week where I got just got punted in all my A races. Think I'm out of practice in racing in a pack as been at the front of B mostly so some development there.

Just a note to you all - I've turned the chat facility off on my game so if you see me in the lobby and I don't say hi, I'm not ignoring you, I just can't see it.

Need to find 3 or 4th's on this quali time, I can get sector 1 down by 2.5 tenths but then just can't hold it for the rest of the lap :grumpy:

Well, now I’ve written off this week as just not having the pace I’d like and not being able to keep up with my ‘much faster than me’ friends 😭

I’m going to start experimenting with different cars, this morning I raced the R8 and actually it was quite a nice drive. Apart from when I tried to kerb ride and boy it didn’t like that!

My races actually haven’t been too bad, although I’m lingering down the bottom of the lobbies, I’ve had a few DR increases and not dropping like a stone

Same here....

Been starting at P12 or lower, but in 3 races yesterday I managed 6th place twice, followed by a P3.

It's good to see you back in A mate - you definitely have the pace to stay there. I like to think my self sacrifice spin this morning helped give you a needed DR boost. Although it wasn't intentional, I was totally day dreaming and missed my braking point 🤦‍♂️😂

I'm going to do the same this evening - going to stick a few more laps in the 992 but will switch to the BMW for half an hour and see if I can take the chicanes better in it as I'm bouncing all over the gaff at the moment.

That was the exact race that popped me up mate so your sacrifice was appreciated, although i only needed 13 DR

Shame about the messed up start from PD though, I was 3 seconds behind when we finally went off

Pace has really picked up in race B, my 34.1 has me about 10th to 12th in most A+/A splits. Race pace wise that is fair, that's about my pace, I am generally gaining places and breaking square on my DR because I pick and choose my moments well but fundamental pace is a few tenths shy of the mid pack.

I am struggling through the esses, my lack of precision sees me scrub the tyres and i lose a tenth or two there. Also losing time at the sharp left hander both on entry and exit unless I really do take what I feel is a lot of risk. Losing time on entry to the last chicane, I fire out of it ok but being eaten on entry.

The big chicane is my friend, I enter quite fast and fire out well, at least keeping pace with faster guys or even catching them. It's been pretty fair racing, my only issue is guys that are slightly behind into the esses or the big sweepers, they try to run along side me, I give them space and they still verstappen me off the road rather than lift.

I've been starting anywhere from 8th to 14th on B this week.. I had to quit a game due to a phonecall, and lost some SR 🙄 but the resulting drop put me on pole for the next race.
So, the moral of the story is: don't drive faster - drive dirty or quit.

Tried the Nissan GTR at lunch, started p16 in A and A+ lobbies and managed to finish 12th.

Nice car to drive tbh and I might stick with it, possibly give the Porsche another try 😁

Dare I say it, I could use another DR reset 🤣

Any tips on to how to catch power oversteer on exit? I see other people recovering from massive tank slappers all the time, but I just seem incapable of correcting the tiniest squirm and always end up head first, square on in the barrier - then it takes another 20 flippin seconds to reverse back out onto the track. It's starting to drive me insane 🤪

Im starting to think im your bad luck charm!!! Every time im in your lobby you’ve spun 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😟

It’s one of the reasons I’m using the Porsche, it’s just so stable, I tried the M6 for a few laps but the back just steps out on me, you can be super heavy footed in the Porsche and it’s like a Gr4 car.

Turn your wheel more in the opposite direction, or put the power down smoother and not have to deal with it at all!
