Iā€™ll be honest Iā€™m not usually that cynical but he killed a couple of people along the way.

I waited for the last corner and left him whole just wanted my place back which he should have given, but we move on.

Itā€™s fair racing on my side, itā€™s something to reflect their side (they wonā€™t)
 
Had a good afternoon racing at trial mountain, it started early today before the fam woke up, good racing against fast guys and we all shared the spoils over the 4-5 races we had, this afternoon all about just increasing the DR, no wins but still good racing and the only DR decrease lost me 5 points šŸ¤£

Iā€™m sure Iā€™m nearing my highest ever DR haul of 38k and with Tokyo next week could possibly break that one.

Sounds like weā€™ve all had good fun, shame I couldnā€™t share the races you boys have been enjoying

So Iā€™ve done 5/6 races all week. I spent a lot of time making sure I was comfortable expecting TT pace in race.

The week has been fine, a random P2 abs mostly p3-p8 which is what Iā€™d expect at my QT.

Weirdly I can go a lot faster now but itā€™s Sunday and a roast awaits so coulda shoulda.

Overall the week was clean, the pace consolidated really quickly (clearly a fav for peeps) but overall a decent week.

Iā€™m looking forward to willow which I know @Barney Da Dog is looking forward to as well.

Heads up, for B the Alfa will be the meta, for c the new Porker but BRZ is gonna be strong.

And thatā€™s my week wrapped up

Really cracking week guys. Lots of fun!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the competition on the leaderboard time trial! Really adds an extra dimension to the races when there is a bunch of us on it!! And even better to see everyone out there in the lobbies together racing hard and clean (albeit clumsy on my part when Iā€™ve seen you guys šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø)

Feel like Iā€™ve got myself a suitable buffer in A for at least a few weeks now with the DR at just shy of 37k. Hoping I can keep in A long term as fighting for every position for the whole race is so much more fun than just leading from the front in B.

I really like Yamagiwa both normal and reverse, feel like the wider track just means less carnage and you can drive/race more without the stress of getting murdered every corner.

Iā€™ll be parked up in Race C next week, hoping to see you guys out there šŸ™ŒšŸ’ŖšŸ™ŒšŸ’Ŗ

I was gifted that win, but I'll take it anyway šŸ¤£. Was a good race and a bit fortunate the way things worked out.

Overall it's been a pretty good week around B, some errors on my part, getting caught up in other people's errors but mostly all been clean hard racing.

I agree about Yamigawa being good in both directions. One of the few that works well šŸ‘
 
@Stringerbell @Barney Da Dog was good to see you both out there this afternoon, had scraped into A yesterday so was hoping Iā€™d see some forumites! Overall a good week for me, mostly positive results in B & C and the first time Iā€™ve made it into A on the back of a Group 3 race. Got a little frustrated in the end at Yamigawa as I just couldnā€™t get below 33.7 but we go again tomorrow!
Just hope I can spend more time on track than in the sand at both tracks! šŸ¤£ this was me last time at Big Willowā€¦.

Race A - Tokyo expressway central clockwise - CM - 4 laps - Dahatsu Copen '02
Race B - Willow Springs - Big Willow - RH - 7 laps - Gr4
Race C - Laguna Seca - RM - 14 laps - Gr3 - 1 pit

Question for the guys that understand the physics better, was just thinking about where I lost time last week.

With the 992 if you floor it out of the hairpins then the reason it goes super wide is because it is understeering? Am I better off modulating the throttle and getting the car to take a tighter line or will the reduced throttle input mean less speed?

Probably on my own here, but I wonder what the daihatsu Copen is like to drive, for a one make track day car at Tokyo, that could be fun!

Nothing is really floating my boat from watching some streams to be honest.

I did wonder that, want to keep hold of my DR so much I might have to do this one, but as I said before, itā€™s clearly slower than the golf one recently which got tedious

So here I am again, wondering which daily to commit to, šŸ¤£

Iā€™ve too much OCD to share my time amongst more than one race šŸ˜

Edit. 2mins around Tokyo, Iā€™ll pass on that one I think!

I'm going to commit to at least time trialling at Laguna and if the races aren't fun I will just have a light week and stick in the time trial.
 
I spent a good bit of time this morning qualifying for race B - much longer than I wanted to, but I was desperately trying to get into the 18s and got there eventually.

I'm not really gelling with the track at the moment. I'll try a few races later and then decide whether to go to race C instead.

Yeah I remember the first time it came out it was great, since the update (for me anyway) I can vaguely remember keep coming off the track on the last corner and hating it! šŸ˜

Yes I'm using the 4c, I'm ok with the first 2 corners but then it kind of falls apart a bit after that - especially the right hander in the twisty section and the last corner (sometimes I make sometimes I don't). For anyone also running the 4c what speed are you crossing the start finish line? My best exit from the last corner has got me up to 137mph at the line.

Not sure of the exact speed but itā€™s always slower on the first lap than whatā€™s possible on flying laps there after
 
Stuck at work - early shift this week, but I already wish race B was Laguna/Gr.4 and haven't even turned PS5 on yet!

Suspected Race A was going to be a slow car after seeing the CM tyres selection but didn't quite expect it to be that slow!

Had a difficult evening on GT7 yesterday. Just couldn't hook up a sub :34 lap nevermind improves on my :35.5 in the M6 so tried some more Master licences and got stuck on Master IA-9. Really really deflating!

My Load Cell mod springs should arrive today so got to fit those then start yet another learning process.

This race A donā€™t look pretty mate, I think bump drafting is needed but I started 8th at my lunchtime race following the same car all the way around, he kindly blocked me from passing at any opportunity, last lap a guy ahead had a penalty so dropped back behind me and last corner bumped me in the corner and the two in front, one went into the pit šŸ¤£ poor bugger, the other went ghosted crushing on the wall and the orchestrater went ahead of me the absolute get!!

Will try my chances at Willow tonight but in the alt account,

That's not too surpising, I also hadn't forgotten the absolute s-show that previous combo turned into.

If there's one thing fragile egos can't stand more than getting overtaken quickly, it's getting overtaken S...L....O.....W....LYYYYY

Hey, I saw you when I popped in for a race at 14.50. If you feel like youā€™re overdriving you kinda have an answer there already, kick it back a few percent, donā€™t drive 100% but 95, 96, 97. Begin with starting to make sure you can complete the races without making mistakes and going off because a lot of people do struggle with that here. Capitalise on the mistakes of others.

Then itā€™s the matter of it being Gr.4, a category where the cars are slow and easy to drive, overtaking at Big Willow isnā€™t particulary easy to begin with and things arenā€™t exactly made easier when the cars lack power. Some small mistakes like botching an exit but still staying on track isnā€™t as costly as it would be in Gr.3 and isnā€™t always that free position one might expect. If you feel like you can edge out a bit more time on a qualifying hot lap you probably should do that as your starting position at Big Willow is very important.

Luckily Willow is as I remember it first time around so Iā€™m happy I have something to race this week šŸ˜ managed to get a 1.19.342 so hopefully an 18 will be possible and then I can break out the AS account on the weekend, is it sad not to want to lost all that DR? šŸ˜‚
