As much as I've enjoyed Dragon Trail Seaside (Race C) this week, looking forward to this week's new dailies especially Races B & C.

Love Deep Forest. Probably a Gr.4 race which is fun. Love sectors 2 & 3 out here.

One of the best features of Watkins Glen is the presence of big flat kerbs. Considering I'm not so confident driver with higher kerbs, the flat elongated kerbs give me ease at Watkins. There are similar kerbs even at Seaside which helps my confidence.

Watkins Glen as a track is amazing right from T1 itself. A fun track & this time we have Gr.3. I remember a few months back we had Gr.4 (Race C) there.

@NevilleNobody For the sake of sanity & happiness, I always want to race in Race C because usually players are more patient & not in a hurry to make moves as opposed to the smaller races A & B). Plus, strategy really makes it damn interesting. As much as I would enjoy Deep Forest with Gr.4, I'll spend overall more time in Race C at Watkins.
 
Wish I got in more race C this week.

Its perfect practice for my leagues Enduro this Friday night which is 2 hours of Gr. 4 at Dragon Trail - Seaside.

Also, it's giving me a good DR boost.

Been a slow week to actually get to race but focused on Race C and managed a win a couple of days ago in a low DR-B group. Fair racing and lots of fun with my DR slowly heading North 🥳. Thanks to our new TT challenge I’m finding better pace so thanks to those that have included me 🙏🏻

Jeez Louise I go away for one night and PD brings in all these fast buggers!!!! Can’t even get in the top half of the grid!!!!

7 A+ in this lobby!! 2 of them pitted first lap and then passed me on the 10th just before I pitted 🤦‍♂️ slightly embarrassing!

Around half a second off where I need to be to be competitive with those guys!

Well i tried - had a 1:09.7** at the second sector but had a poor last turn and only improved by a few hundredths.
I somehow started on pole in one race - and finished 2nd overall, which has been my best result. In the next race I was back to starting 13th.
I think if it had been GR3 there would have been more death at the chicane, but in GR4 folk are taking it close to flat every lap so there's not much scope to pick up any freebies.

Also, higher tyre wear would have mixed things up a bit, as everyone is on either a lap 1 or last lap stop.

Ah that’s a shame mate!!! .7 would have been lovely and put you right in the mix!

I don’t think I’ve got anymore in me unless I spend a good few hours lapping and pouring over replays

Seems that I can’t get above 25k Dr in the alt account, ever time I am the next race is an absolute s show, I’m surprised by how dirty I’ve seen racing at that level, no need for it really, maybe ppl just lashing out but a few bad trips thru cod and some idiot driving can easily put you back in red DR!

Glad it’s Monday tomorrow and can reset from this, managed a win this week, could have had a few more if it wasn’t for the above mentioned

2nd place still that that lovely blue colour on the DR though 😎

Top of B and bottom of A does seem to have the most shocking standards, seems like everyone is just. Bit desperate to either go up or not go down and leads to pushing and making mistakes or desperate dirty moves!!

You juts popped up on my lobby as I’m typing this 😂!

Mate I did wonder what were you doing 😂

There’s me trying to tank my DR by going on my main account, starting 13th, was upto 9th and a buddy in front for some reason backed out and gave me 8th, then there’s you! With a minute penalty getting me the last DR increase position 🤣🤣🤣

I feel it's a common occurance at CoD. I remember my first race here last Monday had a similar scenario. There were four cars ahead of me jostling for position heading into CoD (can You believe this was on lap 1 itself). One player pushed another player into the left barrier. He slowed down much & I tried to avoid him but touched him (when he should've ghosted) where I hit into a car on my side which crashed into the barrier. As a result of this mess, I got a 4 second penalty even though I was the victim too.

Whenever I'm chasing someone heading towards CoD, I back off just a little because if the player ahead nudges the barrier or hit the barrier hard to stop on the racing line then, I don't know for sure if his car will be ghosted or not.

Just wish PD did something like this where they would record typical enty, apex & exit speeds of every turn on the track. If a car say is 25km/h or more slower through either of the phases with cars behind, that car should get automatically ghosted. Something like how DRS system would work when it would detect the car ahead is under a second. I mean something automated in the game but wish PD could implement something like this.

Anyway, can't want for Deep Forest & Watkins.

Well, 4 laps practice and this happens!! (Sorry @Bondwhar 😁)

What an idiot!!! That could have been a main account DR increased week, serves me right I guess, I can deal with being half a sec away from you guys 😂

Really not sure what to do this week, I really like this 458 and want to race DF with it but I want to see if I can have an electric week at WG, I’ve pulled some laps out there before, had some decent racing

I was actually wondering earlier why you were so far off the pace after how quick you were at Spa a few weeks ago and that explains it 🤷‍♂️

I’m sure it wasn’t on at Kyoto as I had it on for that god awful Diablo, I was just slow at Kyoto!!

Anyways, it’s WG all week and it’s 1.45.051 for you all to chase 😁

I’ll have a bash at this tonight but Gr3 is my weak point so going to be tough! WR is already in the 42’s I think which is insane!

Suzuka is cracking in that Integra, I will see how DF is but I can imagine that its going to be quite processional. WG is always good especially with the 2 option strat.

@williams_v_r Just go look at one of Tidgney's WG lap guides in Gr3 the braking points are pretty much the same.

Damn that’s the only one I haven’t tried and I’m torn on b or c

I was thinking I’d go for B tbh, been starting 11th with 7 A+ in the lobby so reckon I’ll be getting some decent finished there. WG looks good but just can’t bring myself to do long ones again all week,

Took part in 2 Race C's.

In the first, I entered with RCZ after setting a TT of 1:45:569 which put me 4th on the starting grid. It was a little eventful as it's easy to get caught up in other player's rumble. I finished in 4th. The car was good & stable.

Next race I took part with my favorite Gr3 car - AMG GT3 '20. This time I was slotted in 2nd on the starting grid with my preferred strategy of RH-RS. I noticed the leader & 2 more out of the top 5 were starting on RS. As always, knowing that they're on faster tyres, I did let the players immediately behind me overtake me as it seems logical to me as they're on a different race strategy.

When I rejoined with RS in the middle of the race, I was in 6th or 7th. But the new grip of RS filled me with more confidence to push. 2 players ahead of me pitted & so did 1 more later. 2 got time penalties either because of running wide or pushing a car off-track.

At the end, I was surprised to win. Maybe this isn't the best when compared to the Porsche or M6 but I feel at home in this car. Watkins is fun especially sectors 2 & 3. My victory was part keeping it clean & part other's misfortune & part starting with reverse strategy of RS-RH. Enjoyed the race.....
