Decided maybe I was being overly emotional quitting early for the week so jumped back in. Got my quali down by another tenth and jumped onto a race.

2 push to passes on lap 1 and then this absolute treat on lap 2 which basically sums up my week in a 10 second video. I brake a little early because I’m on the inside and cars are in front! The beauty in the white car still isn’t braking when we reach the 100 board and he has hit me and the other driver.

Started the week on 39k DR and now I’m on 32! And I would say at least 70% of the races have had me pushed off in similar but less dramatic circumstances than this. What a wonderful game, really makes it worth putting all those hours in to find some pace 🤕

The DR doesn’t really mean that much to me but I just don’t like having it burned by idiots that then means I have to spend my time in B lobbies trying to get back into A!

Mate, I’m trying to ween myself off DR increases, I still think it’s a growing experience, you pass wanting to win, you pass wanting to increase your DR and raise levels, you end up being content just qualifying and hitting times and racing clean and ending up where you end up.

Enjoyment without heading anywhere, I mean, there’s 16 racers and someone mostly always fills each slot right?

Had a decent Daily race today on C with the BMW M6, despite having a spinout and then recovering my race after lap 8. Bit sketchy B lobby but fun racing nonetheless.

Sorry for my YT spam but think this might be the best race I've had in a while. Mostly clean aside from an arsey BMW at the end, who got what he deserved.

It's not spam, that's the purpose of the thread. You are very consistent, hit your marks, and great pace in the last stint. Your race is similar to the one I was whining about last night, earlier in this thread. Started back of pack but worked my way to 5th before hitting a problem driver, difference is you managed to clear yours. I hate those bump and run passes, gee it annoys me.

What do you guys make of this pass I pulled? (I'm in the pepsi Integra)

Ballsed up spoon, tried the cut back then the moved inside to avoid collision after 130R braking for chicane, managed to avoid penalty somehow then side by side out of the final turn.

I'm thinking I would be peeved if it had happened to me!?

You know, that’s why you asked.

My thought is firstly why was cutting 130r not a pen that much.

In to Casio, it was quite odd lines to be fair but I get you went a little deeper than intended.

It’s a non issue, just an unorthodox block pass.

If I may, you seemed really spikey on the inputs, partly replay I get but also out of curiosity are you on controller on this one!

Normally someone not punting you is a sign it’s acceptable 😁 if you raced him well throughout you’ll be allowed a minor indiscretion

Using the wheel as always. Low "Sens" setting though - usually 360° as it's how I like it. I Even go 270° in race cars.

"Unorthodox." That sums the move up or just lucky as I was kicking myself after botching spoon and lost concentration thereafter.

Done 7 or 8 Race C's this week - not once have I messed up the bus stop. Then today, my best chance of a win, in the lead with a 4 second gap and no pressure... yeah, I mess it up😭🤣

I've used the 296 in the last few races and it's great on the tyres compared to the GT-R. I even managed to make it to the end after stopping for softs on lap 4 ( thought it was lap 5 🫢 ).

Will hopefully get a few more done tonight. WG has never been a strong track for me, but this week I seem to have finally managed to find some consistency..

Happy birthday to Mrs @newmedia_dev !

Bit of rough and tumble this afternoon. Started in pole but got shunted off earlier on then managed to claw some places back after some close racing. Pulled off my signature move into the chicane again 😂

Good natured banter in the lobby afterwards.

Excellent driving all round.

I know you were clipped but that entry to Casio 🤣🤣🤣

I play VR and be like “where the hell did come from also why aren’t you turning right” 🤣

A rare example of a manoeuvre you can use both at the Casio chicane and at the ASDA car park. 🤣

Great racing Nick, this combo will be missed. That superior exit out of Spoon is like drug.

This must've been said by many competitive & lovely folks here but wish we had one more daily race category as an endurance race (Race D).

I'm quite hesitant to enter Race A or B every new week of dailies that comes my way because the SR & even DR takes a good hit. Smaller races - bigger impatience.

Wouldn't even mind if we had Race B as the longer option like Race C. This week we're at Abu Dhabi, a track which is great but I'll hardly race there this week because of the reason I've stated just above. I'm not a big admirer of Fuji but will probably play this race the most just because it's the longest of the three with strategy.

Yes I enjoyed it. Managed to recover some DR I lost at Big Willow. Shame it didn't generate more traction on here. Conversely, nothing really takes my fancy this week. Ho hum.

So that's a hard pass from me on race A this week. Leaving me with Yas or nothing. Ugh.

Just noticed race C is Gr.2

911 GT3 R '22 looks to be the meta on race B on racing hards though. I'll try a couple of qually laps and see how I feel.

have you tried that Merc? 590hp FR don’t sound too bad, unless it drives like a ship 😁

I’ll report back after lunch, I’m going to try it

Edit this is a race tuned version so almost looks like could be gr3?

Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series: This is the circuit-tuned, dedicated track version. It features a fixed rear wing and upgraded racing transmission. Despite being heavily modified for the track, it still sits in the Gr.X category for event entries, but its performance points and physics act like a high-tier race car.

At least they're getting creative! Definitely worth a shot, even if just for the gorgeous replay potential.

Although, Fuji with Group 2 you say... 🤩

It's not all of Gr.2 though...

Race A really highlights the naming mess PD made for itself with how it classifies Mercedes too. Good luck to those who insist on slavishly copying the mistakes of others rather then exercising a little intelligence, and their AMG Mercedes-Benz AMG driving today.

That AMG feels ok to drive, whether anyone else can drive it remains to be seen 😁 I’ll give it a go later once the guide is out but it’s a seat of the pants drive for sure
