I haven’t raced all week, but the new TT was worth turning the PS on for, so also did a few laps at Fuji, won’t do A because of the VR stuff and B no thanks.

And for the TT

Yeah it’s strange because I don’t think it’s been overly dirty but just seems to be seeping away,

May even have to do a C from the back if it carries on 😁
Think Yas has run it's course for me this week, was fun shooting round but 4 laps is very short and a long wait between.

Think I am going to have a blast at Race C for the next few days see if I can learn it

Enjoying C though there’s a lot of contact probably b/c these cars are fast and oversteer easily. My SR is faring worse than my DR!

Is the Toyota a lot slower out of corners than the Merc or the Macca or is my exits? They are just driving away from me out of the last corner even when I can see ‘em get sideways.
The Toyota is slower in acceleration yeah. It seems to be doing quite okay in the time trials, but I've never seen the Toyota finishing a race higher up than about P6.

I'm using the Merc and I have a hard time getting a top 5 finish as well. I think in every race I had such contact in the first lap that I end up being dead last. Twice I binned it myself without any contact. So my expectations were low this week. This morning I again had to fight back twice from P16 after lap 1. In the first race I got my best result of the week: a P5, finally! I kept my head down after I became P16, and hunted down quite some other drivers.

In the second race I managed to race myself back to P9. Because there were also DR A drivers involved, I got a DR gain. So yeah I've actually gained back a bit of DR today, but the racing is so intense that I never do more than 2 in succession.

Yesterday evening I did 10 minutes of time trialing, also without expectations, just following the ghost of the world's fastest CLK time (K. de Bruin), and suddenly - directly on the first lap - I clocked a 1:33:9xx!! Very happy with that. Only 1.8 seconds (about 2.0 %) behind the best CLK time. I've managed to close down to 2.0 % recently, but that was with an easier handling gr. 4 car which always suited me better. Very happy that I now pulled this off with this wild beast of an old Le Mans car! Without any grinding of sorts, I maybe did 60 minutes time trialing in total this week, over 3 or 4 sessions.

Have fun mate, I keep eeking time from my race A QT and the SR holds up there so I think that’ll be my weekend, got lots to do in the garden though so it won’t be much time racing
Just returned from a golfing trip in France so eager to race today. Sounds like bit of a dull week so far but might just try some TT and final practice for Manu cup on Saturday.
Yep, pretty dull indeed mate! Although I’m finding some speed in race A, I think I’ll go for a 55 there this weekend, the blue DR & SR are pleasing on the eye 😁

I don’t complain about gr3 and 4 mate, I complain about crap tracks which makes for crap racing 😁
I'm onboard with there being way too many crap tracks, biggest weakness of Sport mode I reakon. But Fuji (with a wheel) is a good one, ideally without the chicane though. Would dearly love to see more proper tracks, not street circuits or sausage fests. Think Road America for example. If license costs are an issue (I am told they are), maybe then go after 2nd tier places like Hockenheim, Zolder or Donnington. I imagine active F1 tracks will ask a lot but take it down a tier and surely a deal can be done. Way, way too many chicane fests in GT7.

Hopefully next week is a good line up, yas has been fun but for a bit dull now.

The week after must surely be Gr 1 with the 4 brand new cars in the update on the 11th?

EDIT:

New daily’s are out on Digit!

Race A: Broad Bean Race Way on CH
Race B: Brands Hatch on RH 🤮
Race C: Interlagos on RH and RM

I’ll probably give Race c a bash but the transition from RM to RH absolutely kills me

Race B then for me. I'm usually very comfy at Brands. Hopefully it's Gr.4 too. (I'm rubbish in Gr.3's)

Edit: they've only gone and used the indy circuit 🤦🏼‍♂️

Edit 2: never knew "broad bean" existed until now. Might have a look at that one too.

I really have to restrain myself before I write something really really stupid, but I'm getting to the point where I'm fed up with the practically non-existent penalty system in this game, especially in Sport Mode

People get away with the most messed-up moves without any consequences.

You get slammed into the universe in T1? No problem.

You get pit-maneuvered in chicanes? No problem.

Dude in front of you clearly see's that ur faster and brake-check's you. You get a 2 sec pen for collision.

Chapeau to the people ruining this games online mode...

Just can’t get on with Fuji mate,

But 100% on road America, Zolder, donnington park, got knows why we don’t do more British touring or world touring car tracks or Aussie super cars etc seeing as we’re doing those cars!

And I’ll be 100% at brands next week in gr3 or 4, don’t care! That’s me happy again for next week

Edit. Indy circuit, great, that’s ruined that one then

Going as per the alternate pattern between Gr.3 & Gr.4 cars used in Race C, it seems we could have Gr.4 cars at Interlagos. We could be in store for another Gr.3 Race C.

Broadbean was an absolute blast when the in-field section was used for Gr.4 race.

Brands Hatch shorter version with RH seems more likely to be Gr.4 instead of Gr.3.

BB Raceway doesn't have an infield course. It's original or reverse, you're thinking of Blue Moon Bay.

I’m getting close to a 55 in race A, that track with a time just short of 2 mins is surprisingly short when you are chasing times, hit a 56.001 🤨 and lost about 3 tenths so I just need to hook it all up!

Grabbed a couple of wins from p2 this morning, pole sitter defo at an disadvantage with the slip so strong

Edit. 1.55.860’😁

I haven’t looked at the numbers, but anecdotally it appears this week has been a lot less popular than other weeks.

@Stringerbell i saw you were in one of the streamers races at Yas this morning.

I wonder how PD can get it so so wrong some weeks

Personally I have had a blast in race C this week. Am surprised it hasn't been more popular. Have ppl been focusing on Nurb Manufacturers or does that not really affect the daily-participation?
Hoping for a good time at Interlagos next week 🤗
