My best finish on race B which has been a disaster for me this week, but anyway need all you stewards to look at this tangle I was involved in.

My opinion was the car in front got into trouble, I tried to capitalize and then they tried to defend the inside too aggressively causing more trouble. I got a lucky shunt and kept the place.

That's my vision too. It's an opportunistic move, but a fair one. He first steers into the other Impreza after going very wide, and after that runs you out of road. Nowhere to go.

I had this at turn 1 braking zone at Interlagos where someone overtook me, I was happy to concede the position, but he went so wide so he pushed me into the grass at the right hand side grrr.

Firstly, let’s detach the thinking from the moments, everyone was driving extremely well, we can talk about where the QT lap time lives and I can help you find the right pointers.

Nothing really weird or odd, just people trip over people, you did the right thing (that’s all that matters, do another race or 1000 but do the right thing)

Really don’t think there is any issues other than compression causes issues everyone survived. I will point out the obvious it’s a very slow way to race but being in the same lobby spreads today mate I can see the challenge sometimes

Well no daily racing for me this weekend, bit of kids football, haircuts and our award ceremony for the lads footie shortly,

I think I’m planting in race B next week and the gr3 Tokyo, did some circuit experience this morning and fully golded the Tokyo we just had as well as trial mountain and deep forest which I hadn’t done previously, trying to get me 20mil to buy the Merc w196 and the bugger isn’t for sale

Unless race A is something better, I need to fully gold that variation of Tokyo too 😁
Nice mate. Enjoy the weekend!!!

Think I’m going to start in B and then move to C later in the week.

in other news it’s taken until Saturday and 8k worth of DR but we finally have a blue arrow 😂😂

Been a week, not the glamour of loads of poles or P1s just keeping up and bringing it home. I’d imagine a lot of the B/C folk got decent bumps

Well done. My week has been the direct opposite. Just had a great Race B though. Found a bit of consistency after increasing the "sens" setting on my wheel from 270° back to 360°. Finished 10th in a lobby with at least 5 A+ drivers.

It comes and goes, that’s the bit I personally wrestle live with.

But I would just say that I use the default settings.

Way ahead of you guys, 😂 but it has been a few dismal weeks, I reckon next week gets back on track so to speak, even C might be fun depending on the lap count, I could be tempted to sit the week there, remember the gr4 race when the lambo was the meta, that’s a nice little track

More punishment this morning in race B. Very competitive thought-out the field. My demise this week culminated in the 2nd rage quit of my GT7 career. Sometimes it's just too much when you want to race but you can't because of other players.

@newmedia_dev @Lightsider74

That’s was fun guys, need to do some more of that when the dailies are pony!

Nick, you’re not selling your fanatec are you? 😱
I'm either throwing it through my TV or selling it after the state of my driving this week.

But seriously, nah it's fine. I was loving the Mégane on the RMs before it hit the wall. Will try to reset and rebuild next week.

Fingers crossed for a car of my liking for race A!

Yeah just a crap week mate, I think to myself sometimes, why do I need to race every week, I mean I will do when they good races, 😁

Don’t judge yourself on a poor weeks combos mate

Race A and B should've been strong combos for me but I'm not driving well for some reason. Yeah like you say, hopefully just an off week 👍🏼

Race a just isn’t fun and race b should be a much slower speed car, gr4 is too fast for it, imagine it was gr3 brands Indy!
I thought race A was ok but it needs everyone to race fairly which appears to be impossible. I enjoyed setting my QT there.

Was also happy with race B to be fair just not my driving. Agree Gr.3 would've been too much!

Was some fun lobby racing this afternoon,

Nick I’m really thought I was going to hit you at sards, so just avoided!

On a separate note, the community lobbies are ace, and Nick before you stress too much would you like a few laps coaching not A+ but just some braking philosophies that don’t require knowing the tracks.

😂😂 I have the same thing. When it’s a crappy week I just think oh I won’t bother and then I always find myself back in the rig each night somehow even if it leaves me fuming 🤦‍♂️

If you’re sharing pearls of wisdom on hear I’m going to checking back religiously 👀😂😂

Any advice on not dragging the brake out? I’ve checked my laps against the top times and I trail brake similar, I just don’t seem to have the guts to let the brake go early enough and drag it out for another couple of MPH each corner which hurts me for a good few tenths by end of the lap

You don’t trail brake similar, in the mechanical sense, they are looking at the exits and full throttle drive through not trail braking. Top thing I’ve learned is there isn’t trail braking just braking to manage the exit line.

The bit I have forgotten is how coasting works in bumper/bonnet cam works because in VR it’s natural in the other cams it urgent.

I’m not a coach nor do I want to even pretend to be, but if you want a top tip is take the telemetry and do everything .3 earlier even 1s earlier. Trust me on that.

If you had have hit me I'd would've known it was A. Either my fault for doing something unexpected or B. Completely unintentional.

As for the braking coaching - Thanks. That's something I've struggled with from day 1 in gt7 I can't feel the brakes/tyres. What would it involve?

Edit (after reading your later reply): I watched the coaching video for the Gr.3 event at Kyoto and especially interesting was how to take the chicane - the braking point and acceleration point. Made a lot of sense but would take a lot of practice to get right consistently.

Edit#2 I was thinking about what you said about coasting and braking to manage exit line; T1 at Broad Bean, Race A, would be an excellent example. (If I'm catching your drift - no pun intended)

It’s an offer. And I didn’t touch you, vr it just scared me!!!

If you want to understand earlier brake management as the way for better exits happy to do some laps with you, brands is the best example of QT matters alongside race pace, QT escapes drama quite honestly. And on a 47 lap it compounds heavily.

Well that's me done racing this week..
Somehow got 2 wins on Race B, usually been around 5th/7th in some extremely sweaty, but fun races.

Didn't do very well around Race C, but mostly my fault. Twice selecting the wrong tyres at the pitstop 🤬 didn't help with the results.

2 more days of work then I'm off 3 weeks 😎 But moving house soon, and also off to Austria for the F1 race, so likely not a lot of racing time coming up..
