Life is a game of….milliseconds?

Today was a good Daily Race A day, the Mazda's are fun around Daytona if you get a decent lobby imo.

But, Currently I am so frikkin frustrated with Daily race C at Yas Marina, I thought I would try it out today and then realised after 3 races that PD have turned up to 11 the ******** meeter on these track limit penalties. The stewarding is horrendous. Never have I seen a harsher unsympathetic penalty system. The game was being a total A-hole!! The game was giving me penalties on the last few corners of the last lap, but why??? Thankfully I didn’t rage quit unlike a lot of people in the game. But could only manage a decent 8th place overall.

Even though Abu is during the day (I mean, brakes, tires, and everything else on a car love it when it's 120*F out), I do like the track. And I like how there is some strat involved.

Started 7th in this lobby and there was so much good racing. Half a dozen side-by-sides through some of the turns (including a three wide into T1), a couple switch-a-roos, and generally respectful all around. Although it seems to rarely be the case, this game is brilliant when you're around respectful drivers.

Did anyone else's quali time get deleted? I put a time in while on RMs on the alt on Monday, then on Tuesday it was gone. No biggie for me but for some maybe it was.

Had a couple of really good contests too! Despite my concerns about a repeat combo... A repeat of a good race is still a good race.

Some light bashing and rubbing, but all in good nature, even if positions weren't too keen to be given back.

Given the strength of the slipstream here, it's fairly easy to get back into contention, and the cars are so quick to lose momentum I don't blame people for just carrying on.

B-tier lobbies have been kind to me lately, and I've forgotten completely about the idea of ranking up, just enjoying the racing when I can

I tried to do one single qualifying lap. I'm typically very conservative on my first few laps just to get a feel for things. By the penalty line I had 3 seconds worth. Bailed. Won't be playing this daily at all. It's a hot garbage track to begin with and the limits make it about as appealing as lighting myself on fire with paper matches.

I suspect they deleted the Monday QTs because of the abuse of the shortcut at the end of the long straight - it's been though since the introduction of this track, so I don't know why they've decided to act now? Probably because it's suddenly been given a lot of publicity by the streamers.

I thought it was odd when I entered a race on Tuesday and only 3 drivers had a QT. I hadn't had time to set a QT myself, but was in P16 on the grid behind all the others without a QT - set a time yesterday but still ended up in P16! 😂

Yas Marina has harsh tracks limits; everyone knows why.
Personally I really prefer the "Championship limits" rather than those where we're completely off tarmac without getting penalised.
I'm in the minority wishing those strict limits for all tracks, I guess. At least it has a coherent link with the reality of international racing standards. The only thing I'd like really to be improved is the penalty system regarding the breach of limits; like getting 2 or 3 warning before getting penalised. Moreover I'd like consistency; same penalty for same breach and not randomly getting 1 sec when I'm following someone that makes the same "mistake" getting only 0.5 sec (fi at Glen's bus stop, Kyoto Gardens esses, etc).
Regarding the use of exploits; we're living in a bad aera, guys. Integrity, loyalty and fairness nowadays are perceived as "weaknesses" whilst taking unfair advantage on someone, cheating, denigration and "violence" are being normalised especially in the virtual environment of the net.
This weekend btw I'll be actually all time at Yas from the back in the alt account. It's time to learn the track I never visited before.

I really like the idea 💡 of a warning system as that would bring another dimension to this great game.
I haven’t raced in C this week but I would push to learn the track and it’s limits rather than get angry with the track.
Gurzu, I also 💯% agree that unfair & unsportsmanlike driving is sometimes seen as appropriate in some races which is disappointing but when watching from behind it can also be hilarious. 🤠

Did they nerf the Citroen?? 😂

I went from a 2.07.0xx this morning to a 2.10.793 after the update 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Just watching my PB ghost speed away from me like I’m following a world tour driver
Hope my Swifty Taylor hasn’t been messed with 🫣🤠

Hope the Citroën Group 3 is still strong. Pretty annoying when Group 4 cars get nerfed.

I think you’re ok. There is one in the top 10!

The Elantra is absolutely super powered! Took half a second off my PB in the Citroen!

My lack of car knowledge really showed after. The bop! I was driving thinking wow they’ve really upgraded the brakes on the GT by Citroen, I can brake so much later into every corner! Didn’t realise I was going about 20 mph slower 😂😂😂

It probably didn't like that backtick.

In addition to the content filters, it's also likely running the input through a sanitization filter to prevent SQL injection attack. The sanitization filter likely doesn't return a separate error message on its own, so it's rejected with the default "unsuitable language" error, even though it doesn't accurately describe the reason.

I don't have any inside knowledge of how GT7 or PSN's filter works or how it is designed, but as a web developer myself, sanitizing user input is a very common (and absolutely essential) defensive programming technique. I'm sure Polyphony's engineers have it covered, else they're going to have a big problem.

Yeah, I get that. While that makes sense I’ve used that punctuation apostrophe for quite a while instead of the more common typewriter apostrophe and never had that issue before. In fact, when it finally went through it’s still there, I only changed the numbers to words:
Code:
One’fifty-one.foursixtwo (0,55% · P48)

I went for Race C after installing the update & my time was gone again. This time used the Genesis which has become meta for qualy.

P.S. - On first day of dailies, I switch on braking zone to understand the braking limits. When I used the R8, the braking zone started from 150m bord on the first part of the back straight. After the update, the braking zone has shifted further to 130m or so.

I also thought it was either one or the other, now I can get both on the bus stop exit. I don't know if that's related to the update, I haven't played earlier this week.
I got it too which doesn't make sense to get both.

Played Race A a few times today for the first time this week I enjoyed it.
