Hi guys.

I am having an issue where I am trying to upload a decal i have created.
it is a simple 3d shape, which consists of three shades of the same colour to create a 3d effect (see attached file)
When I upload the decal to the website it appears correct, but when i go to use the decal in game
it is missing one, of the three shades of colour.

I created the decal from scratch using Inkscape
the file size is under 7kb
I have run it through SVGOMG
it is saved as a optimized svg file

Upload the svg as well, can't tell anything from the Jpg.

Thanks for the reply :D

the file is attached
Try saving the file you drew as Plain SVG. You shouldn't have to, but if you run it through SVGOMG it'll be about 3kb

edit: Sorry, I think you will need to run it through SVGOMG.

I have tried saving the file as Inkscape, plain and optimised svg - all with the same results.
it is infuriating me since it it such a simple design . . .

The problem is one of the pieces uses a matrix transform, the game doesn't like these.

Inkscape writes a load of rubbish you don't need in the XML, so plain is better, and will optimise better.

SVGOMG will resolve the matrix transform as a normal path, and therefore should work.

edit: I first though the piece wasn't showing because it used some inkscape style the game wouldn't recognise.

Thanks for the info.

Do I need to save the file as a plain svg first, then run SVGOMG or the other way round ?

As a tip, if before you save, select what you've drawn, and then do shift+Ctrl+R to resize the document to the image, and then when you export it, it'll fill the decal in the game properly, rather than being smaller (at the moment it's rendering it like it's on an invisible A4 page).

I have managed to correct the issue doing the following:
ungroup items in inkscape
amend the colour that is not registering in-game
save as plain svg
re-upload to website

working correctly :D

Thank you very much for taking the time to look into this. Greatly appreciated MatskiMonk - keep up the great work

kind regards
