Well that's me done. Tried a few times today and the car is now such a mess with adding bits I can't remove and trying different tunes I couldn't get to within 3 seconds of my best so far.
Which is pretty dismal and several seconds off bronze. :dunce:

It's the first TT I haven't bronzed, apart from one where I did get bronze, went away for a few days and came back to find the Aliens had bumped me out while I was gone! Oh, and that Red Bull one that I just couldn't be bothered with.

I am disappointed. It is a track I used to dislike, but grew to be very fond of. I have gold in all sectors in Circuit Experience but after around 10 tries am still silver on the full lap. I think my brain just can't concentrate for that long! After half a lap I slip into Sunday Driver mode.... 😂

Well done to all of you who got bronze, really well done to those with silver, and  to those who managed gold.
Other than TC1 I have set braking zone and racing line. Ususally I turn them off because I want to use "real" references, but here they help my brain to recall what is coming next and give me some more confidence.
I started with close to 0 knowledge of the track, with terrible lap times coming from errors. Then slowly I moved to 7:20 and now 7:10, sure Bronze.

I don't have any time left to try, but I guess I'm quite close to my limits

So far my best i can do. 1,5-2 sec hiding somewhere but i cant get it in 1 lap. Opt 50.3 😭

learned a lot from this TT.
Please PD more from that caliber 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I managed 7:01 with a controller today. I began at 7:09 and have slowly gnawed away the time. Im at silver for now. I have been playing racing games since Rad Racer on Nintendo but never ever have Nordschleife been a favorite track until now. I love this track especially the part between the two carousels. If you get the flow right its magic.

Well, dropped close to another .600, 6:58.553...doubt i can gain 4.142 for gold but i'd like to get back in the top 2000,currently 2017th.
Any time below the 7th minute mark is a good time. Be proud of that.

The only thing I hated about this time trial, other than having to adapt to several different tuning setups, was doing about 300-400km in a single session and completing 2 or 3 full laps. It demoralizes you (at least it does to me) when I'm over 3 minutes into the lap and wreck myself because of a tiny costly mistake.

That's the Nurburgring for you.

I think I'm going to have to call it. Two weeks and I've still not tamed the random under/oversteer and weird disconnected feel to the extent that I have confidence enough in the car. I'm sure there's a very simple tune I could be doing, but I can't find what it is.
With no telemetry, I can't find any way of scientifically homing in on something as fundamental as camber angle. Pardon the pun, but I'm just going around in circles now.

Ironic, as the real car I owned could be absolutely thrashed with total confidence.

The stock car in the game is actually a pretty sweet drive, or at least it was a few updates ago when I used it for the Time Trial of a thread here in the forum that someone made.

This tuned version with it's restrictions for this TT, no matter the tune, is an absolute pig. I actually had my fingers tired during some sessions from the hassle I have with the throttle and steering control (I don't use assists other than ABS).

No worries, i was quite happy with that time, until i just dropped another .740,new time is 6:57.813 and the crazy part is i almost re-started because i was a good 1.5 seconds behind my ghost.
Kept the hammer down and now sitting in 1783rd place ,3.402 away from G :dopey:

Last night, on my dirtiest lap ever, I managed to shave half a second off my PB, landing me in place 600 something with a 6.53.691, using DS4. Watching the replay I don't get how I got so fast, albeit screwing up most key corners. Astonishing, how each lap the past days bore its own different mistakes but lap times consistently stuck around 6.54-6.56. And even though I do believe there's another 1-2 seconds for me to loose I'm glad this is over.

The less said about this TT, the least popular by participation and most difficult by all my measures, the better; enjoy the numbers below. At least I somehow kept my gold streak.

i never bothered with it...dont like this track and to spend 7 mins per lap and potentially make 1 silly mistake and its all over...just a pointless TT for anyone other than the top split drivers to get Gold

I best brush off my best WRX TT livery and pull the WRX out of the shed for this one! Love the Gr.4 WRX!

I gave up on the NSX after a single lap. Posted a 7:51, completely stock. I didn't fancy tuning the bejeezes out of my NSX so I left it in the garage and used a rental. It was abundantly obvious this wouldn't even challenge for a reward time, so I just went back to grinding and building my car collection...

A Gr.4 challenge around Sardegna, however. That's more up my alley.

Well, finished with a 1798th place at Nurburg,i'll take it.
And now back in the gold zone for the first time in 3 TT's with .403 to spare, time to play the waiting game.

Kind of wish Nurburg with tuning was up permanently, different car every couple weeks, something to do after getting bored with the quick TT.

56.122 for me. i had better T1 and T4 before but not on this lap. 55.8 is possible.

sorry for the bad quality. i couldn't find a setting to improve the capture quality.
